Still can’t make consistent drinks. Ordered a 20oz Irish Cream Breve again and it just tasted like espresso and water. Didn’t taste any Irish cream at all. I’ve had good one’s from this location a couple of times but the consistency is terrible

No line at the drive thru– yay! The barista started making my order wrong so I reminded her what my order was and she corrected it. I got the caramel hazelnut mocha and think that the Carmelizer at Dutch bros is better. Gave it a shot but don’t think I’ll make the drive over there specifically for the coffee.

Five stars for service, quality, and presentation, and this from a guy who loves to complain! Service: I had gotten a flyer in the mail announcing their grand opening and offering a free drink so I decided to give The Human Bean a try. On the way to my car, I tossed my trash in the bin… along with my coupon. What a downer! When I explained what happened to the staff, they honored the coupon anyway! I asked what they recommended and the iced white chocolate mocha they recommended was fantastic. I’m sold on the service alone. Quality: The coffee was delicious. I could taste actual coffee through the chocolate syrup, milk, and whatever other magic was in that cup. The whipped cream was perfectly light and fluffy. I had a cup of iced white mocha, not a cup of ice with some coffee between the cubes. Presentation: The building is new and clean, inside and out. The servers were friendly, cheerful, and helpful. They even garnished my drink with a chocolate dipped espresso bean with a robin egg speckled candy shell. I’ll definitely be getting my coffee from The Human Bean!

I am a lazy man. Have been my whole life. So when I can find a place that will serve me coffee and I don’t have to get out the car, well I am going to try that place. This place has a lot in common with Dutch Bros. as they have a dual drive thru concept. This place has a ton of menu options and serve every kind of coffee drink you can think of. They brew Portland Roasting Coffee beans and it is a dang tasty cup. Coffee prices are very competitive. Big kudos for the complimentary Chocolate Espresso bean that they gave me. What a wonderful way to start the day!

First visit… friendly staff and decided to order a «plain» drink before getting fancy to see how tasty their drinks really are… and it was pure deliciousness! Will be coming back to try the Mexi-Mocha ;-)

I was eyeing this place for weeks now and finally got a chance to try it. First off, the drink that was recommended by the helpful staff was awesome and hit the spot: snowy mocha made muddy. Just the right sweetness and flavor that set my afternoon in the right direction. To top it off they gave away free oatmeal and had a signature chocolate covered espresso bean. Truly unique which will definitely have me back for more to try the other drinks. The service was great as well. Very helpful for a newbie. I will be back. =)

They have the best coffee around! I go out of my way to come here. The employees are awesome as well! My husband and I were here to get coffee and we had mechanical issues with our truck when we were in the drive thru. Unfortunately, we blocked both sides of the drive thru, but the employees handled it so professionally. They came out and took people’s orders from their cars and hand delivered the drinks. They were very sweet and accommodating to everyone, including us. You guys rock! I apologize for the inconvenience we caused :( But THANKYOU Human Bean for being so great! You have our loyalty forever!

Love their coffee and the cute little chocolate covered expresso bean they put on top of your coffee lid! Yummy and fun! Staff was sweet and my daughter had a vanilla smoothie that tasted just like a vanilla bean millshake! Sooo good!

Being a Rosevillian, it’s nice to have another option in the rocklin area. I’ve come twice, thanks to the recs of Karen K. :) and I’ve enjoyed both of my drinks. On my first visit I asked the friendly staff what she would recommend and she suggested the mexi mocha. So that’s what I got and I was very pleased. I especially loved the chocolate covered expresso bean nestled on top. Great added touch! Being so happy with my first experience my husband and I decided to come back the next day! This time I tried the nf chocolate Mac latte and it too was delish! I drank a couple sips and then popped that chocolate bean in my mouth. Amazing! I also like how their lids have a slot where you can open and close your drink hole without it spilling all over the place. Unlike other more popular coffee spots(who put a green stopper or a blue sticker) to cover the hole to prevent spillage. Human Beans lids are way more practical! I have not tried any of their cold drinks yet but based on previous reviews I’m sure they’re equally as good. Being so new there was relatively no line. But I’m sure with word of mouth and Unilocal reviews this place will pick up in no time! Keep up the great work and good quality human bean!

Some tough customers here! This place is great… Nice, simplistic menu and great service. Be happy a new business is in Rocklin that is actually awesome! And, they give you a chocolate covered coffee bean with your coffee purchase. Love it. I got a small latte. The quality of the coffee was fine. When I pulled up I had a question about a beverage and the lady was very nice. Service seemed quicker than Dutch Bros. plus, they didn’t have music blazing or try to make fake conversation with me. That always irritated me about DB, btw. Nice kids– but really, I’ve got nothing in common with them and I haven’t had my coffee yet. I digress. Enjoyed my experience here and look forward to coming back!

Tried The Human Bean of Rocklin for the first time yesterday. I ordered the blended low carb Java Chip and a blended peach Rockstar. Both were the best I’ve had. Kicked Dutch Bros. a$$

I’m a big Dutch Bros fan but I might just be a Human Bean convert! It’s the same drive-thru/walk up concept and there are a bunch of different drink options ranging from fruity smoothies to coffee beverages. Human bean reigns supreme in my book because it’s has a stronger coffee flavor. Also the complimentary chocolate covered espresso bean kicks it up a notch. I got the Irish crème breve and it was delicious. Customer service was also friendly and quick. Definitely my new favorite drive-thru coffee shop in the area. Dutch Bros who?

I’ll keep this short and sweet since I’ve only been here once and I’ve actually never heard of them before. Ok, let me tell you… I was skeptical and raised a brow at their menu because it’s so well rounded and seemed pretty aggressive for a lesser known chain. I thought, if their coffee is actually good, their menu beats everyone else. We ordered a mexi mocha, snowy mocha, and cappuccino. Every single drink was on point! It wasn’t too sweet, the balance between coffee/milk/water was perfect, the cinnamon in the mexi mocha wasn’t overwhelming, the whip cream on the snowy mocha was light, and the capp as simple as it is, was just right. I totally underestimated them. Plus, the yummy little chocolate covered coffee bean is a nice touch. They close at 9pm and the 11th drink is free with their rewards program. 4-stars because they won me over. Coffee was perfect. Customer service was good. I also appreciate the fact that I wasn’t greeted by someone on caffeine overload asking where I’m headed or where I came from(that got old real fast).

Praise(insert whatever god/goddess here)! You have no idea how much I appreciate the amazing and STRONG coffee they deliver here. I have fibromyalgia and chronic fatigue syndrome and most days STRUGGLE for any ounce of energy. Every coffee I get from here instantly perks me up and gets me through most of my day. The extra chocolate covered espresso bean is always a bonus. I love that they offer all kinds of milk(I don’t do dairy, and am allergic to coconut, so yay they have almond!). Plenty of things to eat, and even gluten free options. This place has gone from open to PACKED everyday I swing by. I am so happy others are finding out about this little gem!

I’m not your normal coffee person but because of Chuck M’s tip to try their coffee my husband and I were game. They were having a soft opening on Monday January 11th the day before their official opening date. They were offering any drink on their menu complimentary despite the 8 – 11AM time that was posted on their facebook page. I called to ask as it was already after 11AM and we were already driving toward that area. The person who answered welcomed us and said they would offer us the drink free even after that time. It was easy to find after getting off the freeway with my handy GPS on my iPhone. The newly built building was prominently standing on a corner that obviously had a long line of cars but hubby went to the shorter line as they had two drive thru lanes where the second one was not distinctly marked. They had workers outside to help us with our order while we were in our cars. Because it was our first time there being unaware of their menu the gal was most helpful as I usually go for the chocolatey nonfat mocha. She did suggest the regular chocolate opposed to the sugarfree though it was probably a bit too sweet for me even though the mocha was very rich and full in flavor. Hubby went for the frozen espresso or granita. OMGOSH that was delicious!!! They do have a menu that you can stare down for days as it was quite diverse and lengthy. Luckily the gal helped us with our order so it made it quick and fast to be out of there in a flash!!! The gal inside handed us each a chocolate covered coffee bean after we received our drinks. I would love it if they were located in Elk Grove as I probably would frequent them more so than Dutch Bros. Their prices were a bit less than DB. They did mention they have double stamp cards on Wednesday as they handed us their stamped reward cards which probably makes more sense for us to check them out again on that day! Their coffee was really worth the drive. Remember I don’t normally drink coffee??? LOL I’m so jelly of Rocklin…

The Human Bean has finally opened in Rocklin! It’s been a long wait anticipating the opening but having finally tasted my first cup it was worth the wait. There are two drive-thru lanes that are configured opposite each side of the building and It’s about the same size as a Dutch Bros. They also have a walk-up window. The menu is pretty extensive(check out my menu pics before coming). I ordered a quad caramel hazelnut mocha which was at an immediately drinkable temperature. Temp could have been slightly higher to hold the heat for a large drink, but this was a soft opening day and I’m sure they are fine-tuning. The flavor was good with mild hazelnut notes but caramel did not stand-out over the mocha flavor. They also use lids that have a built-in slide lever to keep your drink from spilling which is awesome! Overall, it was still quite good and if you are not looking for an over-the-top level of sweetness this drink is a good choice. Service was friendly and prompt. A barista even came out to my car to help me(even though there was only one car in front of me). I was also pleasantly surprised that my drink was free since it was their soft opening day. It’s great to have another coffee business in the area and I’ll be back soon to try one of their many drink options!
