Finally!!! A place with good food, pleasant atmosphere and friendly service all rolled into one place called the Windows Box Café. This was our first trip to this establishment and we were not disappointed. How can you go wrong when you have breads made on the premises and biscuits. Outstanding gravy and, believe it or not, damn good bacon. My wife had the ½ French dip sandwich on a fresh homemade roll and enough meat for a whole sandwich. Oh yeah, did I mention the coffee? Well it was perfect! If you’re looking for the perfect place to go where you get the best food, service and everything else, then go to the Windows Box Café, but you better hurry cause they’re only open until three. Check out the breakfast specials from seven until ten too, you won’t be disappointed. Enjoy

Friendly service. Cute place. Hash browns were delicious. They accommodated my Vegetarian request to add an additional egg rather than the meat on my light eaters breakfast. The scrambled eggs were a bit dry although I asked for scrambles soft. And the coffee was so so so weak, it doesn’t deserve to be called coffee.

So glad I tried this place. First off the décor is super cute. I think the building was an old Mexican restaurant so it’s a very Spanish style building and nice and open dining room. The waitress and host were very friendly and very attentive. We went around 10:30 and they were steady but we got a table right away, large restaurant. Eggs Benedict are my favorite so I have to try them everywhere I go. This place was superb! The portion was also huge! The hollandaise sauce was right on the money and the country potatoes were perfect! My husband had Cary’s mess– an egg scramble with ham, sausage, cheese and veggies mixed in. It was very tasty and again a large portion. We had a side of biscuit and gravy and we’re happy we did. The biscuit was fluffy and delicious and the gravy was amazing. Went to four sisters last week and for the prices, taste and the wait time I would choose The Window Box Café.

Fantastic find! Four Sisters was packed so we came here for the first time. Can’t wait to come back. Love the mini pancakes served with your breakfast! We had the Corned Beef Hash and the Fajita Omelette, both were really, really good. Solid service as well. We will be back!!!

Poor first impression. Very unfriendly waitress. Don’t need ‘attitude’ first thing in the morning… especially if I have to pay for it! Walked out. Drove to Awful Annie’s in Lincoln.

McKenzie was our server. She was very friendly and helpful. The place is bigger inside than it looks from the outside. The food was good and it was decently priced. I had the breakfast sandwich and it was not bad but I have had much better. The kids loved their food. I will have to come back and try more stuff.

It’s ok. Average breakfast fare, was able to get fresh strawberries in my crêpe in May.

After deciding not to wait for Four Sisters’ 40 minute wait, we decided to head over to this place across the street. Service was average… not great, but not bad. I ordered the cinnamon French toast with egg custard frosting. For some reason, I expected a cinnamon roll… HA! Anyways, this place was good. I did feel my portion was a bit small for $ 9 though. It should have maybe had bigger slices or a side. My husband’s portion was a lot bigger with sides for the same price. Wall décor was nice. Atmosphere was fairly loud. I did really like that they got us seated right away though. We called and they took our names down over the phone. I will probably order something else next time, but I will definitely be back!

Nice little café off of Five Star. Interesting floor plan, much like a house with many small rooms. The colors are cheerful(a lot of yellow), with flowers, window boxes, and little sayings all over the restaurant. First thing I did notice was the vinyl tablecloths that looked pretty retro, but maybe that’s the look they’re going for. I’d think this would really appeal to older folks. We went on a Wednesday for lunch and had a good experience. It was the first time the three of us had been there, though my coworker said she had been there in the past when it was a Mexican restaurant. The hostess/server was friendly and attentive. I ordered a denver omelette, and my coworkers ordered eggs benedict. Everything came quickly and looked great. My omelette was probably one of the best I’ve had at a café. Loved the $ 25 for $ 30 Unilocal deal. Looking forward to coming back again, and bringing my husband to check it out!

Great brunch place. I tried the hash, and it was home made. Wow, what a treat. My folks enjoyed it too since they got to select from quite an extensive senior menu. And to make things extra special, we took advantage of the Unilocal 25 for 30 deal. We’ll be coming back again soon.

I had high hopes for this place it was super cute walking in and the server was sweet. When we sat down the table and menus were sticky. The server messed up our drink order, but is an easy fix, not a big deal. I ordered their French dip with fries and I wanted to give their hash browns a try as well. Big mistake, the hash browns were not edible. They tasted as though they had been cooked and sat out all day then heated up. The fries were bland but I added ketchup. The French dip I had high hopes the bread was the perfect kind of bread for French Dip the meat however was dry and tasted like soap. My son who is 1 wouldn’t even eat his food but the toast which is unusual. We will not be back maybe we ordered the wrong thing but I have no interest in returning

After watching a segment of «Dishin’ With Tina» from Good Day several weeks or months ago, I decided to come to this local restaurant located near Highway 65 in Rocklin. The Window Box Café gives the customers to taste their interesting breakfast meals especially lunch entrees in a delightful way! As I came inside this morning on 2÷27÷2016, the ambient is very warming here as I can see happy, delightful customers who are dined there having their joyful moments. The concept is much like visiting to a village house in France during the spring weather filled with 19th Century paintings on the wall, wooden decors, and plenty of flower plants on the guest’s tables. The servers and cookers are doing a fantastic job for making the customers like me a marvelous service! I’m quite impressed that one of the server named Marsha is such a sweet woman. She gave me a newspaper to me when my food order arrives. No issues here. Now onto the food. I ordered a Chicken Florentine Crêpe with a side of fruits and a cup of coffee. As I ate it, that crêpe tasted delicious! The chicken breast is perfectly seasoned and cooked well while I take my first bite. The rest of the crêpe includes spinach, mushrooms and sauté onions also tasted very good especially the hollandaise sauce too. Furthermore, the side of fresh fruits is eatable and refreshing which I can feel the natural juices on every fruits I bite. Lastly, the coffee is not that bad at all after I drank it entirely. What a great breakfast meal! There’s plenty of good parking spaces available, so you can park anywhere you want near or far without the hassles. In the end, The Window Box Café is the most remarkable local restaurant that I’ve ever experienced the most right thru my potential bucket list! Perfect for friends and family gatherings for breakfast and brunch! A well, worthy visit! My rating: 4 solid stars.

Alberto was fantastic, offered Hot Coffee upon entrance, and greeted us warmly given it to be our first time, as Rocklin residents too. Much better Atmosphere, and obviously the food was plentiful, nicely presented and much attention to our table throughout. We did frequent Four Sisters, but find that location, poor as to atmosphere, high on table turnover and process, food is ok there but a the Window Box, excellent value, taste and service for locals. Good Job Alberto!!! Thank you! G and Vanessa!!!

It’s a really comfortable place to grab a quick bite to eat. The staff continues to be really nice and is always quick to offer a refill on their coffee. Very solid basic American comfort food menu. I love the Diced ham and scrambled eggs combo with mini pancakes.)

Don’t know what is going on today. 2 employees at the front didn’t greet us when we walked in. They were too busy charging their tips or something. There must be a new chef too. The food tastes nothing like the other 2 times we visited. Potatoes were bland, eggs benedict were completely cooked through, they shouldn’t be.

Hit here for breakfast on a Saturday morning. There was no wait for a table and I was greeting in a friendly manner by the host. Although the décor is a bit outdated, think early 80’s at Grandma’s – the food is first rate. I had strawberry waffles and some wheat toast. Everything came out cooked to perfection and tasted terrific. I was kicking myself for not listening to my Unilocal Elite friends and come here sooner! The server came past several times to make sure I had all I needed and I was in and out in about 45 minutes. It was nice, quiet, clean, friendly and dee-licious! I can’t wait to come back and try lunch!

Today was mommy-daughter day & daddy-son day… The ladies left the house 2 hours before the gents! Around 10: am we ladies walked in to The Window Box Café and low & behold, our favorite fellas were waiting for a table! :) Daughter got CHUNKYMONKEYPANCAKES, sausage(tad spicy, but delish!) Son got THREECHEESEOMELETTE, hashbrowns & toast. Hubby enjoyed the CHICKENFRIEDSTEAK&EGGS. I ordered my favorite(for breakfast or lunch) the CHICKENFLORENTINECREPES with the Hollandaise on the side. Every single plate was eaten clean! One of the BESTSPOTSINROCKLIN(right behind Five Star Auto Center — just over I-65 from The Galleria Mall)!! ***Thank you Marcia, Mckenzie & the entire staff at The Window Box Café!!!

This place was very delicious I had the California Benedict and it was really great. I took away a star because I could never get a refill on my juice and also I ordered French fries and they were not even salted My friend I was with ordered crepes and he said they were a little bit too thick and also becoming soggy and he didn’t finish his meal which was really unfortunate because he’s not from around here The staff is very kind and it was a nice little restaurant

Our first visit and most likely our last. While we found the staff very friendly and pretty well organized, the food suffered from a severe case of the blands. My chicken fried«steak» had the consistency of something pressed and formed. Not naturally meat-like at all. The country gravy was not too bad but again, bland. The potatoes had little flavor but on the plus side were not greasy. Mini pancakes that came with my meal were pretty standard. My wife reported her California Benedict was very bland also. No seasoning and lacked any imagination. This place is much better than IHOP or Denny’s but can’t compare to other«real» restaurants in the area.

My hubby and I went here for the first time today. First is their service is pretty good. It’s cozy inside. We liked it. I ordered veggie crêpe. And it was ok. Little bit on the burned wide crêpe and lack flavor. With wide hash towns which was over cooked and mushy like mashed potatoes. My hubby ordered fried steak which was pretty decent. With side of hash browns which also was over cooked and mushy. And side of pancakes which were ok. Our total was $ 20 which is pretty good! Will we come back here? It’s a maybe
