Beautiful view but I expect more for the price. It is rustic in every way. Great clean rooms and patios are nice but for the price they don’t even offer ice let alone coffee. The people are great and yes we would stay there again but remember to take your own pillow. We have since referred many friends to this place because it is such a gem of a find.

The cabins are small, clean, efficient, and come with an AMAZING view. Most of the smaller cabins line the rock-strewn seashore. The cabin I stayed in was equipped with a little kitchenette(including a stove, fridge, and microwave), a little bathroom(stand up shower), an enclosed bedroom, another bed that can be closed off with curtains(think of an efficiency type apartment), and a darling living room/dining room with a table that overlooked the ocean. I am in love. I honestly had the time of my life wandering through the woods that surround the cabins and snapping pictures. I had zero cell phone signal the entire time and I didn’t miss it one bit :)

The real jewel of this place is the amazing view. It’s a series of cabins right along the shore. The night we stayed here we picked up food and beer from town, sat outside, and had a picnic. The cabin is spartan, and the bathrooms are almost improbably tiny. It is inexpensive. The only complaint I have is a true first-world one — there is no AC. This is not a problem for most of the year, but the day we stayed happened to be a hot one, and the room is not conducive to air circulation. We left the big door open at night, and by around midnight it had cooled off, but it was toasty for the first few hours of trying to sleep. Still, I’d stay here again, particularly if I knew the weather.

Ocean views, adorableness and low price! Tucked away from Route 1, this motel, cabin and house rental is everything you could ask for if searching for a relaxing and affordable weekend or vacation. I stayed in a cabin overnight and was impressed with the friendly and helpful staff. The cabin is basic — no television, fridge, etc. The rooms have a standard full size bed and small bathroom with a stand up shower. If traveling with pets — they are welcome as well. The site is right on the ocean and nestled away from other establishments providing privacy. Additionally, there is a beach for guests. Given the alternatives along Route 1, the Oakland Seashore Cabins & Motel is the best value!
