The Ledges by the Bay

Great place to stay! The price was great and the view is beautiful. Our room was clean and I loves the décor. You could tell the are slowly updating the place and doing a great job of it. Staff was super friendly and helpful. The room even had Apple TV! It out did our expectations!

Have you thought of escaping the city life or stressful work environment or taking a break from everything? If yes, staying at Ledges By The Bay would be a fantastic dose of ultimate relaxation for you.
It’s located in Rockport, ME about 4 miles south of Camden. It’s so quiet, so serene and with spectacular views on the Atlantic ocean. Once we stopped before checking in, we couldn’t help taking burst photos of the Atlantic and a little lighthouse by the entrance. Staff are pleasant and hospitable. Rooms are so quiet and clean. Rooms doors open on a tiny balcony with 2 chairs and a coffee table overlooking panoramic gorgeous views of the bay. The air was very fresh. All what you hear is a symphony of bird songs and rustling trees leaves kissing the glorious autumn breeze. Just fantastic! This hotel is located on a hill and it has a huge piece of green land downhill. There are scattered chairs and umbrellas for people who want to sit back, relax and look at the sky/​ocean/​green. We met very nice folks from D.C. here.
Internet here is unique! Each room has a WIFI router with a network of the same room name. No password required. The oasis of serenity and beauty you find here is impressive.

We went to Ledges and had a wonderful visit! The staff was very friendly, and Our room was beautiful, clean, and large — plus it overlooked the water! While the Ledges is right on the bay, it’s not for swimming! Breakfast is bountiful and freshly baked every morning. I would highly recommend it!

The Ledges deserves every star of the five I am giving it. The location is absolutely beautiful in addition the binoculars in the room allow you to take in even more of the beautiful sights. The rooms are immaculate and quiet, no road noise at all. The continental breakfast in the beautiful sun room over the office was made even better by the right out of the oven blueberry cake. I must ad that the Wi Fi is lightening fast which is great when you want to relax and stream a movie on Netflix. The staff couldn’t be more pleasant and helpful. If you planning a trip to the Camden area this is definitely a great choice.

I am delighted we chose The Ledges by the Bay. The location is central to Rockland, Rockport, and Camden with plenty to see and do in the area. This establishment is perfect. My traveling companion and I have stayed in hotels and inns all over the world and this is the first time every aspect of features and service was just right. Our room was clean and spacious. Everything worked. Even the TV remote was easy to figure out and the TV had a large selection of channels for viewing at the end of a long day of touring. The bathroom had plenty of space and good water pressure. The beds were clean and firm. There was a generous sized refrigerator in the room. We had a great view of the bay and a nice back balcony from which to enjoy the view.
The hotel reception person was friendly and helpful upon arrival. We didn’t have any further contact until we left a few days later because we were happy with everything. In the mornings, coffee, yogurt, and local pastries were served in a charming furnished terrace with indoor and outdoor table seating. I still can’t get over the amazing blueberry muffins and sinful scones I ate. Yogurt, bagels, and other breads were offered too. Oh, I do have one minor complaint. The coffee dispensed from large coffee thermoses was rather weak. I hope this will prompt a change.
Access to the hotel and parking were easy. Parking spaces were near to the rooms. The grounds around the hotel were thoughtfully landscaped with a variety of plants, trees, and flowers, and lush green lawns, which made a lasting positive impression. Next time we visit the area; this will be our first choice. They even put on a hotel fireworks display at night, which was a fun surprise! I highly recommend this charming hotel.

Our favorite place to stay in the Rockland area. Clean comfortable rooms overlook a spectacular view of the Bay. Very reasonable prices, friendly staff, and well appointed rooms with mini frig’s, wi-​Fi, flat screen TV’s and space to move around in. Most rooms have a balcony allowing you to sit outside and enjoy the views. Open all year long.
