Great views, good food & good drinks. Nice eye candy too, if your into the fishermen type ;) I’ll definitely go back!

Drinks were slow, waiter continually apologized for being backed up. The spinach and artichoke dip was hot and tasty. That’s where the fun ended. I had the snapper Oscar. It was terribly overcooked and dry. The hollandaise was flavorless and asparagus sadly wilted. I told my waiter and he informed me that happened a lot because the food was left under the heat lamp too long. He did not offer me something else. He did not take my plate away and send over a manager. I had to get up and find her and tell her about the issue. She refunded my money. I went home and was violently ill. The spinach and artichoke dip wasn’t so great coming back up. I will never return.

We came at am off-time during a week day and got immediate service. We got to sit where ever we wanted on the deck over looking the water. We got the jerk shrimp and blackened Mahi Mahi burger. They were both delicious. Their homemade potato chips are very good. To end our meal we got the Salted Caramel Cake –soo delicious! We will definitely want to come back again.

My first visit wasn’t so great. I ordered the wrong thing and the service was eh. It took an hour to get our food and I was kinda frustrated. We went back again and it was a completely different story. I ordered the Pecan crusted snapper… Amazing. The bar was super attentive and we got our food and drinks in record time. I’ll definitely be frequenting this spot

Tops in Rockport. A bit on the pricey side but great view, live music and a nice gulf coast feel. Service a little slow but when the food arrives it is worth it. Crab cake appetizer was great and peel and eat shrimp was great. Shrimp scampi was on point and highly recommended. For sides make sure one of the is the tropical slaw goes great with everything. Plenty of options for kids and let them enjoy the boats go in and out while you and your better half enjoy your meal. Go for it but remember you are on gulf coast time.

This place has the best seafood in Rockport! It has excellent views of the water. It is also super clean and the staff is very friendly. The bathroom was also very clean and accommodating for Mom’s with little ones. Can’t wait to go back!

Good food. Drinks are great. Awesome venue. Had a bad experience the first night but the owner invited us back on him. Much better experience the second time. Best food in town.

Just discovered this restaurant a few months ago. The owner went all out in remodeling the building to take advantage of the incredible location. You are literally sitting on the bay while enjoying birds, boaters, blue water and great food. The menu is diverse and the seafood is fresh and delicious. Now that it’s warming up I’m looking forward to spending several hours on the large deck with bar overlooking the bay.

Overall we had a decent meal but nothing that was extraordinary. I had the bacon wrapped shrimp meal. The bacon was really fatty and not crispy at all, which is how I would have preferred it. I ended up tearing all bacon off. The side salad was good. The mashed potatoes were ok. Hubby had red snapper, which we discovered is one of the few fish that is fresh and isn’t brought in by Cisco. Not sure how fresh other fish is and dining on the gulf coast I would only want fresh caught, especially at these prices. Son had fish and chips which he liked quite a bit. Overall ok.

Had our anniversary dinner here with family and enjoyed everything! Music, food, and adult beverages were excellent. We received excellent service from our waiter. It was near Christmas time and they were very busy, but I still feel that we had excellent attention. We ate on the outdoor deck and it was quite nice with dimmed lighting and holiday decorations. The reflections off the water made this a magical«Date».

At 8pm on a Sunday(admittedly, on Labor Day weekend), we had a projected 90 minute wait for a table of 6. Geez, seriously? Based on the number of open tables we saw, that seemed like complete B.S. If it had just been my wife and I, we would have left and sought dinner elsewhere, but the rest of our group wanted to wait. Sigh. Fortunately, we only ended up waiting about 35 minutes. My guess is that the hostesses didn’t want to work late and were intentionally trying to drive away customers. This place is loud and has no atmosphere whatsoever. Even though we got seated early, our waitress told us that it would be about 45 minutes before our entrees would come out. Well, crap. That made appetizers mandatory, but even those took 30 minutes! We got an order of U-Peel-Um-Shrimp. Fresh shrimp always taste good, and these were certainly fresh. I was starving and glad to have them. The Nachos we got for a second appetizer were decent, but nothing special by any means. My entrée, which did eventually come out, was their Snapper Oscar. It comes with red snapper(one of my favorite fishes), grilled and topped with crabmeat, hollandaise, and asparagus. Apparently you get two more sides as well, so I picked fries and corn on the cob. The fries were basic frozen fries and aren’t really worth discussing. Similarly, the corn was just plain buttered with very little flavor. The asparagus was ok, and at least it was cooked well. Sadly, my snapper was sort of tough and overcooked. The blackening spices were good, but not good enough to salvage things. Paradise Key isn’t worth the wait, and it’s definitely not worth the prices they’re charging.

When we asked the gatekeeper at the Rockport beach entrance for restaurant recommendations close to the water, he recommended two places: Charlotte Plummer Seafare Restaurant and Paradise Key Dockside Bar & Grill. We opted for the latter and I’m so glad we asked because we had been looking in a completely different part of town for a lunch spot. Driving into the boat trailer-packed parking lot, I knew we had probably made the right decision and found a popular hangout. The restaurant is large and airy, with bright blue walls and large windows next to our table with a view of the bay. They even supply binoculars to watch the cranes and other water birdies. Had it been about 10 degrees cooler, we might have opted for a table on the patio. Service was friendly and prompt. Bathrooms were spotless(which was a nice change from some places we went to in Port A). Although I had planned on eating seafood, the chicken fried steak with cream gravy and French fries sounded too good to pass up(and it was yummy!). My mom enjoyed the Paradise crab cake(lunch portion includes one crab cake and two sides, for $ 9.99). Nice end to our mini coast excursion.

Yummy frozen drinks and seafood. We loved the calamari and the fish n chips(they are chips, not fries). Coconut shrimp was also yummy. Comes with a great dipping sauce. It’s a nice place to sit outside and relax. Island music included.

Gem of Rockport. Great food and view, unlike anything you’ll find in the touristy areas. Coconut shrimp as big as my hand, perfectly seasoned fish, and tasty sweet potato fries made it a winner for me. Live music was pleasant without being intrusive. Would absolutely come back. The only thing I would pick at is that the server we had didn’t know the specials or much about the menu, but he also made sure our drinks were full and let us know when something was going to take a bit longer than expected. I’m not in a rush, so I just appreciated the communication.
