The people were nice, but I thought the phở was a bit smoky. Wasn’t the best I’ve had, but not the worst either

I come here all the time. I owe it to them to do a review. Overall, great phở place. Broth is money. The meat is fresh. Spring rolls are crunchy. I’ve been to some dirty phở joints, this one meets my standards on cleanliness.

I’ve had decent phở here in the past but my last visit has prompted me to never go here again. I came with parents and ordered a fried spring roll appetizer. I dug in happily and ate a piece but when I lifted the second piece up I noticed a black hair underneath the roll… you cannot imagine my disgust. I notified the management and they brought out a new order but I was of course wary and did not touch the new order. My mother ordered a grilled shrimp and rice dish and what would she find but ANOTHER black hair in the dish. Once is bad but twice is a lost customer. The food is pretty good but it really makes you lose your appetite when you find these things in your meal. If you do decide to come anyway, check your food before you eat!!!

Nice staff. I ordered the seafood hotpot. Tasted pretty good. It would have been better if they cut the onions smaller and cooked it a little but more. Great selection of sauces on the table to add. But the chili paste jar had hair in it. There are better places in this area!

This is a tried and true staple in the Maryland area. I always order fried spring rolls, which use real rice paper wrappers, and the number 15 phở. Some have argued that the soup isn’t that tasty – but I find it has the right hints of anise and is completely clear, without grease. It’s subtle for sure, but phở is meant to be great by adding your own personal touches. I go with beansprouts, chilis, lime, and a combination of sriracha and hoisin sauce. It’s perfection. Some other menu favorites: lemongrass chicken, mixed rice vermicelli noodles, and fresh spring rolls.

Have been ordering carry-out Phở chicken soup for several years now and am always very happy with the food. The soup is delicious and flavorful. Sometimes we add the special Vietnamese spring rolls or the shrimp rolls, also tasty. It makes for a quick and easy meal on a busy evening. Service is quick and friendly. If you haven’t tried this Phở place yet, please do so, you will not be disappointed.

I can’t believe this place only has 3.5 stars. I grew up in this area and moved to Los Angeles years ago, but this little phở joint remains at the top of my list. Every time I am back in Maryland, I make sure to come back here. The phở here is so flavorful and the service has always been hospitable each time I’ve gone. The spring rolls here are on point, too.

As the Duke I feel obligated to post a review. this place is awesome and has the best phở in the Washington DC area possibly the world. Next door is Mr Banh Mi which is owned by the brother. Number 8 is my recommendation and 11 if you’re less adventurous.

Horrible customer service. If you to bring your kids don’t, because there is no kids menu or kids options. The server had a horrible attitude, refuse to make any change to the soup we wanted. So we all walked out. DONOTCOMEHERE! Just go across street to PHONUMNUM.

What a joy eating at Phở 95… Only complaint there was no diet ginger ale(but then again it’s very rare ;))! The wait staff was very friendly and full of bubbly energy. The phở #9 was such a delight. Can’t wait until the next experience at this special place!

I ordered a few times for carry out but nothing really stood out. My last visit, however they gave me what tasted like expired meat. It had the worst smell and taste to it, i still cringe at the thought. Guess i wont be ordering from them again.

The phở here is ok. Nothing compared to my go to spot. Definitely not enough meat. The broth is ok, pretty standard for a phở place. Bean sprouts never really look too fresh the few times I’ve been here. This time actually I ordered a small #1, I feel like there wasn’t a lot of noodles in there either… um…ok… Their vietnamese coffee with condensed milk is good though, but coffee grinds weren’t packed tight enough, definitely had some grinds floating in my coffee. Parking is much better than Phở 75 though, it’s a bigger lot that’s shared with Super Bowl, IHOP and a few other places in the shopping center.

I am giving this phở restaurant 3.5 stars out of five stars. The phở here is mediocre. I have had better. The spring rolls come out more like an egg roll than a spring roll. That was a bit off putting considering a spring roll should be crisp not crunchy. The phở is served fresh. However, the broth is not as flavor filled than I’ve tasted elsewhere. The meat is sliced thinly as it should be! The meat cooks in the broth to perfection. The restaurant is family friendly. When I went there were loads of families eating together. So the restaurant can get loud. But it makes the restaurant that much more homey and cozy.

Not sure where other reviewers have eaten but it surely cannot be this place. I have never been to a place where I sincerely believe their food purely SUCKED. I ordered the pan fried seafood noodles. I LOVE pan fried noodles and haven’t hated a dish until I came here. All there was were a bunch of vegetables and barely any seafood. On top of that was imitation crab. Who puts imitation crab on pan fried noodles? There was also barely any noodles for $ 12. I would rather go to Eden for $ 18 for good noodles. My friend had fried rice and she couldn’t even finish half of it. Forget about the leftover to-go box. The only good thing were the waiters. They were nice guys so that’s the only reason it has 2 stars.

One of my close friends swears by this place and I finally had the occasion to try it. I was actually fairly impressed. The venue itself is pretty casual, an informal restaurant within a strip mall. There is a pretty good variety of dishes to satisfy anyone and the menu is pretty straightforward and easy to understand. As far as what I ate, the shrimp rolls were tasty and served as a good appetizers and my phở with chicken was among the better ones I’ve had in the DC metro area. The portion sizes were generous, the noodles were properly cooked, and the broth was flavorful. The service and atmosphere were merely okay, but the food was worth it.

Great local phở place in Rockville. They are closed on Tuesdays. We love their fried spring rolls– very crispy and delicious. I always order #11– tai and chin and add sriracha sauce to kick it up a notch. Can’t beat $ 7.95 for a large bowl of phở.

I got the #15(steak) in small while my parents ordered the #12 and #1 in large; the portions were generous and the broth was full of flavor for all three bowls. I have an incredibly sensitive palate and can taste some chemicals that others don’t notice– there is a slightly different flavor to Phở 95’s broth; its almost. minty and chemical-ly but I couldn’t tell if it was a bad or good thing. With sriracha and hoison sauce though, it’s not as noticeable. We also ordered the Four Happiness Rolls(chicken, beef, shrimp, one fried spring roll) for $ 10.95. Don’t get it. The meats were tender and all but everything is just slathered with too-sweet a teriyaki sauce and definitely not worth the money. If anything, get the fresh spring rolls instead. We asked the waiter for some cilantro and he said«I’ll bring some over» but he never did. I think they just didn’t have cilantro. But given that the restaurant was about to close, we understood. The food was overall good, but all that sodium made me incredibly thirsty and had me drinking water for at least 3 hours after.

This restaurant always reminds me of a bathroom because of the ugly colored wall tiles. However, that never deterred me from coming here all these years for phở. Even though there are better phở joints that have opened up recently, this is still my go-to spot. I usually get the #1, which is with everything. A lot of meat! The beef tendon is always very soft. The broth is delicious, not too oily or salty. Besides phở, they also serve appetizers like spring rolls and summer rolls, both are really good. They also have rice dishes. I have also had the chicken and rice in clay pot. It’s very tasty and a great alternative to phở. Don’t have high expectations for the service. Like a typical phở restaurant, it’s pretty fast paced. If you need anything, just flag a server as they speed walk by. $ 10 minimum for credit card.

Fe, Fi, Phở, Fum… I smell something good and I am going to get me some. Okay, a giant doesn’t have great grammar, but this Unilocaler knows a great phở. The people who work at Phở 95 are friendly and helpful. The phở is filled with a rich hearty broth. The noodles are tender and flavorful. We always order the chicken phở with added shrimp for a different taste delight. The shrimp and chicken are plentiful. There are many bean sprouts and spices included. I love the delicate flavor of anise added to the phở. We also order the spring rolls or shrimp rolls as an appetizer. I usually have enough for two meals. You can ask the large Buddah in the restarant for good luck or order the phở and you won’t need any. You will be in a food coma and won’t care.

**3.5 stars** Stopped in here for lunch on a Sunday afternoon. The place was pretty packed. I got the only remaining open table in the place. As usual, I ordered the Phở Ga — large bowl. It was good Phở Ga. Chicken was tender, noodles were not clumped. The broth was not bad, but it did not wow me. The plate of vegetables were fresh: bean sprouts, basil, and jalapeños. My one complaint is no limes. Instead I was served lemons. I prefer the taste of limes in Phở over lemons. Service was prompt. I’d eat here again.
