One visit and my daughter was hooked! We came to an open gym day at Xtreme off of a recommendation from a friend at the office. We didn’t know what to expect, but we were pleasantly surprised. Visiting for the first time, we walked in and over to the reception counter to undoubtedly fill forms. We spoke with Judi who was managing the desk and filled us in on the sport of «Acro»(I have never known a lot about gymnastics but I’m guessing I will have to start). Apparently, there are girls from Xtreme that travel the world competing! I filled out the waiver form, as my daughter was led off by one of the staff members to join a group that was already stretching. When I returned to pick her up, she was nothing but smiles and looked like she made a couple of friends. She had to immediately show me her jumps down the bouncing track. She now wants to join the«team» and I am wondering what I just got myself in to… All in all, it was a good experience and we will be returning. FYI, it is a little tucked away in an industrial park, but don’t let the façade deter you. The inside is nice clean atmosphere and the kids love it.

My daughter has attended this camp for two summers and loves it. There is a theme each day which my daughter loved getting dressed up for. They put on a cute show at the end of each week to show what they have learned. So adorable! I had a concern one time about the temperature of the room(outside temps soared to 100 that week) and the manager quickly reached out to me directly to rectify it, purchased fans and cranked up the AC. She went to great lengths to ensure I was satisfied and my daughter was happy and comfortable. Later, the owner even called to make sure we enjoyed our camp experience and will be back. Great customer service! Support this wonderful local business. :)

Regarding the mini tumble class(4 – 6 years): while the exercises are age appropriate… there is a lot of waiting in line and too much downtime for little ones. For the $ paid, I want my kid to have all her wiggles out when we leave. I’ll look elsewhere after this session.

Xtreme Acro and Cheer is a gym in Rockville for cheer-leading and gymnastics. I came here with a friend during their open gym hours on Friday night and we were allowed to have free range of the gym. There are two sections. The main section is located in the front, right when you walk in. There are two trampolines, one super bouncy and one less, and also plenty of padded floor space. I didn’t really check out the other section because the lights were out, but it seemed like it was more padded flooring. There is also an upstairs level for viewing. One of the employees, Nick, was super nice and patient in teaching us how to do a back flip. I didn’t quite get it yet, but I’ll keep trying! This place is great if you want to jump around or do flips! The other folks who were practicing here also seemed really friendly.
