Growing up with the Metroparks, I appreciate all of the events and memories offered. It’s located off of Jefferson. You can find many trails, picnic areas, boat launches and nature reserve area. The trails are kept up nicely as well as the grounds. They offer so many picnic areas with tables and large grass areas for large gatherings. Another great offering here is the public wave pool open during the summer. I can’t count how many times I’ve been here with friends and family. Next to the pool area is a tot-lot for smaller children to play. A surprise for me was the bald eagle located in the park. They have it by the Marshlands Museum and Nature Center. This is a wonderful learning experience and sight for any age. Annual passes are offered which is a great deal for frequent visitors. Otherwise it’s $ 7 for a day pass.

If you are looking to go golfing at this course be prepared. The course is great but the people working there are complete assholes. I know I have been dealing with them for years. They could give a shit about you or the Metropark. All they care about is putting there time in for a free round of golf every once in a while. The club house has a lot of potential too but instead of taking advantage of the great setup they have they would rather just put up a hot dog roller and make you eat the same crap that they serve at a gas station.

I love Lake Erie Metropark. Beautiful place to just go and walk around, and not feel crowded. I couldn’t fit here everything that’s good to do there, but my main interest are the trails. There’s also a wave pool, marina, and other things like that, too.
