Best Greek salad you’ll ever have in your life. Please get it. French fires are also very good and always crunchy. I suggest the strombolisnas well. It’s my fav local restaurant.

I really like the Pizza and Garlic Knots from Mario’s. We go here once in a while and enjoy a family dinner. The staff is helpful and courteous. Also, they have the BEST Cannoli around.
If you’re looking for a relatively good priced family meal, and want as authentic to italian as you’ll find in this area, stop by Marios.

Excellent pizza and the Stromboli is among the best I’ve ever had. Food portions are very generous. The chicken parmesan chicken comes with two full chicken breasts and is basically enough for 2 adults. We often get take out and it never disappoints.

It was a freezing cold and rainy evening, and we were in a hotel about a mile away. We came here because it was the first place we could find and we were starving.
It turned out to be a good thing. We were the only ones there because of the weather, so service was great. We got a pizza and a side of garlic rolls.
The garlic rolls were exceptional! Very, very tasty. We got the pizza with half-mushrooms, half-plain and well-done. They accommodated all those requests perfectly. The pizza was very good and the price extremely reasonable.
Mario’s is in like a strip mall, and there is plenty of free parking in the lot.
This restaurant was very clean, the service was friendly, and it was overall a great dining experience. I don’t live in NC, but if I find myself here again, I would most definitely return here.

I travel a lot for business and I eat at some really great places in some amazing cities. But today I found myself in Rocky Mount NC eating at Marios. Let me say this place does not take a back seat to anyone. I ordered the linguini with white calm sauce. The seafood was very fresh and the sauce was delicious. If you ever find yourself in Rocky Mt. Do yourself a favor and eat here. Delicious

Love this Italian place. We stop by every time we are in Rocky mount. It’s nice to get away from chain restaurants. The lobster ravioli was delicious. The sauce it came in was to die for. Hubby had tour of Italy sampler and he bragged about it too. A must try !

Stopped by here on our way back to DC from Florida. We wanted to sit down to eat somewhere that wasn’t a chain and sort of stumbled on this place. Glad we did! The service was great, food was excellent! Our waitress was named Rissa? I think? Either way, she was so friendly and attentive. I ordered the eggplant parm dinner. It was SO good. With that came a side salad with their house dressing. The house dressing was amazing — like, so good I want to take some home with me. Boyfriend and daughter had the meat lover’s pizza and said it was good. I tried the crust and it was really flavorful, crunchy on the outside, soft on the inside. Very good. Our waitress let us know that the dough was made in-house. I would definitely return if we ever somehow find ourselves in the area!

I was looking for a place to eat in Rocky Mount and wasn’t feeling any chain places. THANK GOD! I enjoyed the homemade marinara on the generously garlicky garlic knots! The Greek pizza was amazing and if you the salad, make sure you order it with the house dressing. It’s a homemade Italian that the flavor just jumps!

We ended up in Rocky Mount as we were evacuated from Rodanthe. We read some reviews and decided to give it a try. There were 13 in our party. Everything that was ordered — from salads to pasta dishes to the pizza was excellent. Everyone in our party was more than happy with their choices. Don’t forget to order the garlic knots … Delicious! Our waitress was fantastic! We do have 1 in our group that is allergic to Parmesan cheese. The description of her pasta dish did not mention cheese but arrived with it. They very promptly and happily remade the dinner. I would not hesitate eating there should I find myself in this area again.

Let me begin by saying that we have had quite a few good experiences here, unfortunately the steady decline of quality was so severe that it culminated with Mario himself throwing a childish fit and refusing to recognize the fact that my meal was under cooked and poorly prepared. I ordered the chicken parmigiana, which was disgustingly undercooked and crunchy in the center instead of crunchy on the outside. When told about the issue, Mario refused to accommodate us in any way and didn’t seem capable of doing simple math to calculate a discount. I offered to pay for the percentage of the meal I ate, he refused and could not offer a suggestion to save his life. It was an awful experience and we will not be returning our patronage.

Stayed in Rocky Mount overnight on the way to Charleston. Ordered a cheese pizza & a grilled chicken salad. The pizza was good. The salad was fresh but I asked for balsamic dressing & instead got only balsamic vinegar & no fork.

Stopped here on way to 95… Heard it was good and that it was! We ordered to go … Garlic knots and pizza by the slice. Though this is not advertise they have it. Garlic knots were fantastic! Pizza was thin and good. Pizza could have been crispier but that’s a personnel preference. Pizza also could have had more cheese flavor to ur very bland. I would return and recommend.

Thoroughly enjoyed the experience. Our servers was a little over enthusiastic, but I’d rather have that than inattentive! The food was awesome! Everything was fairly priced. If I make it back to Rocky Mount I will definitely be stopping here again.
