Played here on 6÷30÷14 in a work golf outing. Definitely not a forgiving course. If you’re a novice golfer, this probably would not be your dream place to play. Fairways are pretty narrow and it is challenging to keep that tiny little ball in play. But, they keep the course looking great and the staff was friendly. And an added bonus, it’s connected to a JR Steakhouse, but there is a catch, the steakhouse does not serve quick food if you’re looking to grab a bite halfway through your round of golf.

Rolling Oaks is a step up for the people who have«graduated» from nearby Heatherwood. You need to be somewhat accurate with your drives because a few of the fairways leave you little room for error. If you’re unfortunate enough to hit the ball into the rough, recovery can be somewhat daunting since the rough is somewhat thick. It is not really that busy here. You can just waltz in and get yourself a tee time promptly. One downside to this course is that they allow people to drink alcohol while playing. So, us sober guys are waiting for ages to tee off while these drunk-ass guys play very slowly. I mean, why drink on the course when JR Steakhouse is right beside the dang pro shop?
