Went into this salon after the salon across the parking lot was a huge hassle and I am glad I did. Lots of compliments on my new hair cut and Janet was fantastic.

I’ve been a client at Charles Scott for several years now and have recommended them to numerous people who have in turn done the same thing. In all of my years of going, I’ve never had one bad experience. I go for two services; hair styling and waxing. I’ve donated my hair a couple of times at Charles Scott and am happy with how they provide the service free of charge(I obviously tip heavily because of this). In terms of waxing, I go to Moira and/or Charmayne both who are excellent! Extremely personable, entertaining, and talented in what they do. I always come out 100% satisfied. If your wait is longer than anticipated, other employees check in on you and offer refreshments so you don’t feel neglected. Fabulous service from an extra-fabulous salon and spa.

Went in recently and was NOT happy with the outcome. Paying $ 34 for shellac that looks like it was worth $ 15 is not what I was expecting. I could have done a better paint job myself. The girl who did do my nails was super nice and friendly though. Receptionist could have had a better attitude. Will not be going back.

My mom won a gift certificate at a fundraiser and passed it off to me, as she isn’t a salon-type of a girl. I have been on the quest to find the perfect stylist and keep coming up short. I hate spending $ 150 every time I get my hair done, but whenever I go for a salon that may be cheaper, I end up regretting it and hating my hair. I digress —- Yesterday I had a cut and highlight(balayage) with Tina. She made my hair look incredible. I’ve received so many compliments, including that I look like a I’m 18(I’m 30!) She’s totally awesome and sweet. I will be re-booking with her for my next appointment. I recommend her to everyone!

I’ve been seeing Tina now for about two years after having a stylist of over 8 years doing my hair. She’s the absolute best. I’m pretty adventurous when it comes to cut and color and Tina has been able to not only help me change my hair up every few months, but also keep it extremely healthy in the process. She’s always giving advice and offering up products that will help to keep my hair healthy and in the best shape possible. I’ve also been going to her for up-dos and styles for special events and I have never been disappointed. The best part? She truly listens and understands but will always advise her clients — something that has been a huge help for me, personally. She’s always on time and beyond fun to hang out with for the hour or two while you are getting your hair done. Because of the service, I’ve started to go to Charles Scott for all of my services(spa treatments, waxing, etc.) and all of the people that I’ve seen have been helpful and extremely professional. You can’t ask for a better salon!

I have been a client of Charles Scott for a couple years now. I always used their spa and had at least a satisfactory experience. I needed a cut and color today. I called at noon to schedule and after an agonizing experience trying to schedule because I could barely understand their receptionist and she kept changing what she was saying, I booked two back to back appointments. I should have had an appointment from 5:45 for a color than 7:30 for a cut. After my hairstylist shows up at 6, she tells me she can’t do my hair because what I am asking for isn’t enough time. Number one: I told them when I scheduled what I wanted, the receptionist couldn’t communicate that so my time was wasted. Number two: the hair stylist was late, not my fault. Number three: I have never been told by a hair stylist they can’t do their job. I was on her schedule for over two hours and apparently they booked someone in between? Is my appointment less important than others? I have spent hundreds and hundreds of dollars at this place and to be treated with such little respect is upsetting. Timing should not have been an issue because I was booked back to back with two appointments — it is not my fault they booked someone in between. Also, I had no idea what she was talking about. She kept trying to explain why she couldn’t give me the color I wanted and it was making no sense. I don’t think she was listening to me in general when I explained what I wanted and that she didn’t need to «re-color» my root because that wasn’t the color I wanted. Her apology was incredibly disingenuous. She didn’t really offer any other options besides a corrective color, which in my experience is expensive and probably would have cost another $ 100. I would expect more from this place for their prices. Incredibly unprofessional experience and I will not longer be giving them my business.

I recently went to Charles Scott for the first time and had a great first experience. received a spray tan from Michelle and I highly recommend her. She was very professional, friendly, and helpful. She also gave follow up instructions for my spray tan. The spray tan itself looks natural and I will definitely be going back to her for this service!

Horrible experience. My appointment was for 2 hours and 45 minutes. However it lasted 1 hour and 30 minutes. They were late already so they rushed to do my hair! I asked for a partial highlight with color(roots). She did the minimun using only 4 pieces of foil. She agreed to use hair toner after the highlights were done. Toner was never used! The stylist used a hair dryer on my hair for 3 minutes. I have thick and full hair and after 3 minutes my hair was still very damp. She didn’t care. She tried to straighten my damp hair with a slightly warm flat iron which she just had turned on. Then she told me she was done. I was completely embarassed to be around people with my hair like that… I wish I had something to tie my hair before walking to my car. The bill… $ 173. It would be okay if I recieved a 4 or 5 star service. I told the receptionist I was very unhappy and she offered a redo. However I was so upset that I will never ever go back to that place again.

So I am a constant customer of this place and have been going there for a couple of years now… specifically for brazilian waxing. It is not easy to find someone that actually knows what they are doing down there. I have been with about 4 of the«waxing» professional and all of them do a great job. There are two reasons why I give them just 4 stars: though the service is good, they are a bit pricey and… I decided to get my hair cut and styled and dyed for my 30th birthday party. Since it is so nice inside and the cost… you are going to get a great hair cut, right? Dye was perfect. But the cut was not even close to what I wanted. I think my stylist only worked on old white people hair(FYI i happen to have asian hair). But one bad experience does not mean everyone is bad. With respect to the facility, Its always clean and professionaI. I like the fact that I usually can get an appointment on the day that I call but I do agree with Ben’s remark about always being put on hold. Parking can be a problem if it is a busy day since they share parking with so many other businesses.

I have gone here to the same lady for a good many years now. I really like this place and recently it has been given a facelift. There are new floors, new chairs, new lighting and a newly designed waiting room. The stylist I go to is very nice and a good friend. The business itself has good policies — I’ve never had an issue. My only complaint is that I always seem to get put on hold every time I call. Thankfully now there is an online reservation system — however you must prepay when booking online so if you have to change your appointment you would then have to call in the change.
