Just ate here for the first time. Food was excellent and service outstanding. Highly recommend!

A good throwback to the days of diners with real food without too much of the modern fluff. The food was excelent and the atmosphere inviting.

My husband really enjoyed his Samosaurus burger. My cheeseburger was decent. Fries lacked seasoning and flavor. On the bright side, the chocolate shake was good and staff was great.

Great food, people and prices. And did I mention the pie?! Great atmosphere. Kid friendly. The all you can eat rib plate hit the spot. Everything tastes home made, like mom makes. Great place.

This is an out of the way restaurant on the way to Beaver Lake on AR12, just east of downtown Rogers. I had passed this place many times and had never stopped in. I had a coupon, so I thought we would go for dinner and check it out. I was impressed. There was a lot of seating for such a small looking building. The service was prompt and attentive, and the server gave us some great suggestions. I had the Samasaurus burger(sort of their«kitchen sink» burger) which was juicy and was definitely hand-formed and not a frozen patty. My wife had the rib dinner, which she said was delicious. My son had the macaroni and cheese kids meal, which was a nice sized serving of mac and cheese with fries. We also had an order of fried pickles, which we were very impressed with as we could tell that they were hand breaded and not out of the food service freezer bag. The prices were reasonable and the atmosphere was very family friendly. I really enjoyed my visit and will be back. A couple of notes: When a couple at another table found out it was our first time there, they suggested that we come for breakfast another time. Evidently Sam’s makes a killer breakfast. Also, the cashier told us about a couple of specials. Monday is all you can eat cornbread and beans and Tuesday is all you can eat ribs, with an added special that if you buy a drink to go with your ribs, you get free dessert, which are all homemade. If you are like me and have always passed them by on the way to or from Beaver Lake, stop in and give them a try. You won’t be disappointed.

We live very close, went one time and it was standard diner food. Nothing healthy or exceptional. Think they are riding on good location and signage.

The atmosphere was nice. The waitress we’re sweet hearts and keeping up with us. No choice of how«done» my burger was done. Would have liked the fries seasoned. Chips we’re about burnt but crispy. The bathroom was small with no changing table. And the end the cheese cake was pudding pie. Though being good the cake was too soft more like pudding.

Pros: friendly staff, good parking. Cons:fries and chips were overcooked and under seasoned. The flies stole a piece of my burger No baby changing table Sandwiches were bland and boring.(pretty good quality of meat IMO but that’s about it) I’m no expert, but cheesecakes were actually cheese pies. They were one step away from cheese soups. Good luck sam.

Went with coworkers two separate times. The food is greasy and disgusting. How do you screw up a ham and cheese? Burgers, everything sucked. The service was terrible. We practically had to get our own drinks. Apparently this is one of those places that only hires women to wait tables and they all looked like they came straight from a meth-ed out trailer park. There were flies everywhere. The patrons all look like pirates. And I don’t mean Disney Caribbean pirates, I mean the scary kind you don’t make eye contact with and hope they don’t follow you out. Any positive review for this place has to be a plant because this place is terrible.

The last time our family went to sam’s was for breakfast. We sat at the table for over an hour before any one asked for our drink order. Finally someone came to take our order. About 20 min. latter there was a crash in the kitchen. We were told the pilot light was out on the oven so they could not complete our order. Just before this happened the owners family arrived and received there order in less than 15 minutes. We have not nor will we ever visit this establishment again.

I have been driving this place since they moved into the new building and thought I would give them a shot for Ribs on the way to the lake. I am sure I got the re-heated ones from the day before. they were cooked twice too long and were lowest on the list of ribs I have ordered anywhere. The potato salad was very regular but not bad. I haven’t tried the burgers but not sure I will stop back by this place.

Not Great, Not Bad… When you have burger in your name the expectation is you are going have a great burger. Sam’s had a good burger with good meat and good flavor. Notice the recurring theme of good… That’s what it is just good. You can tell they are trying to achieve the level of a «local institution» by selling t-shirts and hats but unfortunately they put more effort into branding than into creating a unique and memorable hamburger.

If you want a good burger and homemade cut fries, then this is the right place. Its one of my favorite places to grab a burger during the workweek. I’ve tried a couple of the daily specials like the chicken fried steak, not too crazy about. I always go back to the burger and fries. I like the ribs, and sometimes can’t help ordering one rib as a side item. The only downside is the strong«smoke» smell from the smoked meat. It permeates the restaurant. I have yet to try to breakfast but will plan on it soon

Great food, very fresh! When you are looking for a break from chains and want made to order food, Sam’s Old Time Hamburgers is the place to go. Food: The name doesn’t say it all. My favorite is actually their breakfast. They open early and offer a good variety of country breakfast. This is not a continental breakfast spot, but there isn’t much demand for that in Northwest Arkansas. Don’t miss this stop on your way to Beaver Lake or the Prairie Creek golf course. Burgers are ample, the soft-drinks flow quickly and the soft serve ice cream is a great dessert for the kid(in all of us). Service: Don’t be shy about asking for the mix of food that you want. I use the menu as a guide, not as a hard and fast rule. The wait staff is always eager to please. When to visit: Early mornings and dinner are best. Lunch well attended so plan a little time to get from hwy 540. This spot is a bit of a secret treasure of the Rogers crowd. Don’t let the cars in the lot keep you from stopping in. The table space inside is bigger than it looks.
