Pit Master’s BBQ

This is a nice little BBQ joint that I’ll definitely come back to. The location is a bit unconventional (the old Frisco Mall), but the food is better than most. Truth be told, sitting in the mostly empty mall was pretty enjoyable. Service was fast, competent, and friendly. Smoked sausage is good, the slaw was fresh and tasty and the beans were… well, beans., nothing fancy. The highlight was the Brisket which is very good, as good as any BBQ in NWA. Don’t let the ambience scare you away.

Pit Master is the master in NW Ar I’ve tried them all around here and their meat is the best.
You can see where they cook their meat and they don’t hide it with sauce you add it if you want. If you’ve been eating ribs somewhere else in town, go here next and you won’t be disappointed. I thought no one would beat what I grew up on but it is very close. They take pride in the wood, meat and home cooking. And you can taste it

Pit Master’s BBQ is located in the Frisco Station Mall in Rogers, Arkansas, right by the Hobby Lobby.
I tried out their pulled pork sandwich and it had very good flavor and was nice and moist, served on a hamburger bun. When I asked them what sauce comes with it, the reply was none. And the young lady talking to me also said, with much pride in her voice, that anyone that sauces their meats are trying to hide something. Now that is a true foodie at heart!
Their deep fried mushrooms were excellent with a made from scratch batter. Great consistency and wonderful flavor profile.
One of the sides that she told me was made from scratch was their potato salad, and I love me some good potato salad. This one feel flat though for me. The consistency of the potato salad as too fine for my personal liking. It was basically the consistency of a mashed potato made from flakes, but a little grainier. The flavor was ok, but a little bit chunkier would have been nice.
The staff was friendly and answered all the questions I had.
In summary: From what I have seen first hand and have heard from others, I would suggest this one to my readers. Go by and give them a try, it should be money well spent.
