I last went here in April or May 2016… Between that time and June 25, 2016… They have changed owners/mgmt/full staff, and it has taken a complete nosedive. I would have written a rave review in May because the food was great the service was a little slow but understandable because they were busy, but the food was definitely worth coming back for. Fast forward to today… food was terrible and the menu misleading. The previous owners had actual hand cut fries that were amazing… this menu says hand cut fries… but they were smooth from a bag… and cooked to a greasy mess. Menu says house made chips, previous owners had actual made in house tortilla chips with a signature seasoning… current menu says house made chips, but they are tortilla chips from a bag, and thrown back in the deep fryer for a couple seconds. I had a sandwich that was supposed to be grilled… but the bread was panini press-like toasted and the meat and cheese inside were straight from the fridge. It was a weird combo. Other diner at our table had a burger and said it tasted«like the burgers you used to get in a school cafeteria» In the restaurant itself is pretty, comfortable, lots of TVs, good bar, and looks inviting. As for the service… We were the only table in our waitresses area. She was very friendly and pleasant… But refilled a sprite glass with water… twice. Will never go back here and wouldn’t be surprised if they go under by end of the year. It’s a shame they kept the same name of the previous restaurant, bc they certainly didn’t keep ANY of the things that made it great.

Been here twice after work. First time just had drinks. Seems like they have some kinks worked out per the other not so great reviews. Nice neighborhood type bar/restaurant. I counted about 10 TVs so a good place to watch games. The menu is diverse: shrimp & grits; bbq nachos; burgers with either beef or bison & lots of other items. I ordered the pull pork nachos — pork not that good(dry) but this is not a bbq joint. Service each time was friendly. First time the young server checked on us a little too often– but not going to complain. The second night was on a Fri evening. Our waitress was busy– we sat in the dining area & I saw her waiting on tables across the restaurant in the bar. She suggested ordering the club sandwich. It was standard but they forgot the«club» part(the bacon!). She apologized & brought it. It came with«house made chips». They were crispy & had a hint of garlic. My friend ordered the dry rubbed wings. They looked like shake n’ bake had been used– wouldn’t recommend. The waitress said they’re changing the menu next week. Only complaint is shewing away what looked like fruit flies from our table. Will be back though as it’s close & convenient

Geeze, I have never walked out of a restaurant before tonight. We were served our food in a timely manner, his was correct as ordered, mine was a pulled pork with onions and coleslaw on top, it came out without coleslaw, not a big deal, I just asked for the coleslaw. I tall man in a backwards tan hat came out and without an intro as to who he was and with a deep authoritarian tone asked, «WHATAREWEMISSINGHERE?» I stated with shock as to his tone, «coleslaw.» The man turned around and walked of. My boyfriend looked at me, I looked at him and asked, «What just happened?» He stated, I’m not sure. Well I was done and so was he. Not a place that I will ever return. I left an untouched sandwich and fries sitting. Hope you enjoy your pulled pork sandwich big man in backwards tan hat!

Finding dairy free and fresh vegetables is not easy for lunch in The South. I am so grateful for these new restaurants that will help me to stay well and provide great music and a fun atmosphere too!

The food here is different. They seem to try a little spin on everything and it can be hit or miss. You cannot go wrong with a sandwich as the bread brought in from a local bakery is fantastic. The service here is what makes me hesitate to agree to return. Everyone is friendly, however I feel that they are understaffed or undertrained. It is a good restaurant for a change of pace.

I feel like I really gave this place a good honest try. The first time it was pretty decent. Went with a group from work. Very friendly people. Great atmosphere. Food was pretty good. Not as good as other options we regularly hit, but not bad. Second time, I took my wife because I thought she’d like the atmosphere. Pretty swanky for being in an area next to Golden Corral. I got the chorizo burger, and I think my wife got some salad or something. I think hers was ok, I’m not sure, I don’t really listen to her much. She’s always going on about something. I’m like, «Bish, eat your salad and let me look at you». Anyway, back to my chorizo burger. I love some chorizo. I’ve had it on burritos, tacos, in rice, breakfast eggs, and even once out of a strippers asshole in Tijuana. But, never on a burger. I’ll be honest, it wasn’t that great. I know, I know, I should have just stuck with a regular burger or a chicken sammich. I like to try new things though. Third and last time. Ugh. The wings usually have a very unique flavor. Not this time. They were totally different. I could have had better wings at Twin peaks, but then you risk a side of chlamydia when you eat anything those skanks serve. The Grove is still a nice looking place. I just don’t think it’s going to last long. Weird location for a restaurant like that. I would still recommend you try it thought. It might be just what you are looking for. I may stop by again sometime, just for a drink or fourteen after work. It does look like a nice place to sit at the bar and send out some vibes. If you don’t pick up any wimmins, you can always just stumble across the parking lot to Cavenders and wait for a Brahma momma to pull up in her F350 Powerstroke with cowshit slung up the sidewalls. Or, wait for a wildebeest to finish her 7th turkey leg at Golden Corral to wobble out the door. Easy pickins if you are in a real slump. So, give it a try. Or don’t. I don’t care. Me and my boner will be at JJ’s.

went for a business lunch. wait staff very friendly and stopped by at the appropriate times to see if anything needed. ambience very good, not too noisy and ports on tv all around. ordered the Reuben sandwich which comes with a choice of side. got garlic mashed potatoes. Rueben was very good! maybe a little hard on crust which I didn’t eat. potatoes needed much salt and pepper. a little pricey at $ 11 …

We made our first venture to the Grove to watch the Raiders game. I was impressed with the bar and the knowledgable bartender. I had a cheeseburger and it was enjoyable. They did offer a fry sauce for my side of fries and I enjoyed it. Will request it from now on. This may be our new Sunday afternoon football bar.

I love this place. The fish tacos, the salads, the veggie wrap are amazing. The chicken nachos are huge and played beautifully. The servers are all very nice!

I read the reviews and should have taken the advise of others and not wasted my time and money. We Made reservations for 12. Upon arrival wait staff had no idea there was a reservation. But We Were seated promply but drink orders were not taken until 15 min after seating. Silverware was not set. Stacked at the end off the table. We ordered two appetizers we got one. Half off us were served then 15 min later the other half of us recieved our food. My food order was not complete. My wife’s food was cold. French onion soup. The service was terrible. It was like being in a episode of Gordan Ramsey’s Kitchen nightmares.

Awesome atmosphere, great gourmet bar food, delicious drinks, and friendly helpful staff. Couldn’t ask for anymore from a local bar/restaurant. We had the tuna tostadas appetizer. This dish is amazing! Like something you would find at a gourmet restaurant. Fries were crispy and delicious, burger had awesome flavor and cooked just right, and the soups were all delicious. I will definitely be back soon to try more things.

House salad with grilled chicken, fresh, clean, big portions. Friendly servers. Luke is great! The collective of the staff is focused on clean, fresh never frozen ingredients for the benefit of all but especially for those who strive to eat«clean».

I had a great experience. I recently ate here for lunch around 1:00 on a Thursday and it was not busy. I got a seat in the bar but the dining room was very unique. What sports bar has a water wall in the dining room? Very unique place. I had the Philly cheese steak on sour dough with the hand cut fries. The fries were mostly crispy, but not burnt. The steak was perfect. The bar tender was great. She was very cheerful and seemed happy to be there, which makes me like to be there. Definitely recommend this place… a nice break from the cookie cutter fast food.

Good over all experience. I had the Old Main and my husband the Italian sandwich. Neither were anything special and we probably wouldn’t order either item again. He had a side of veggies which were great but the portion seemed extremely small. I had a side of the garlic mashed potatoes, which were by far some of the best I have ever had. We also had the truffle fries and they were great as well. Great atmosphere but a little pricy. We will probably try again.

My reuban sandwich was phenomenal and the fries were excellent too! I also ordered a Moscow Mule and it was probably the best I’ve ever had. Atmosphere is super important to me too; the Grove was comfortable but still classy enough to take a nice date.

Well kids, it’s like this. My wife and I came in about 45 minutes before close on a Sunday night. We were hungry, and the torches out front along with the bright sign lured us in. We were the only ones in the establishment, and were told we could sit anywhere we liked. The interior of the restaurant is very pretty and modern, and very, very clean. Our waitress was very friendly, and told us some of her favorites on the menu. She talked up the hamburgers, so my wife ordered the avocado burger, well done, and I went for the fish tacos. Now, I know that walking in to a restaurant at closing time and expecting the best is not smart, but this was far enough away from the closing bell for us to expect anything to be amiss. When our food arrived after a short wait, my wife cut her burger in two and we could see that the meat was raw. Not a little pink, not a little rare, flat out raw. Cold, blood red, and bleeding. Ok, a quick call to our waitress and it was hustled back to the kitchen to be placed on the grill. I then turned my attention to the fish tacos. For some reason, the tortillas were not flour, but white corn. When you bend a raw corn tortilla into a taco shape, it breaks in half. So I had two fish sandwiches on my plate with the terrible tasting corn tortilla serving as the bread. Soldering on, I just ate the taco filling with a fork. It was very bland. Without a doubt the most disappointing fish tacos I have ever had. By now my wife had been returned her burger, cooked thoroughly this time, and we had had a visit from the apologetic manager. My wife took a bite of the avocado burger, and spat out the hard stem end of one of the avocados that had not been cut off. Well, that sealed it. We asked for the check and got out of there. We did get the«J.B. Hunt» discount, whatever that is, for our trouble, but it was so not worth it. So, to be clear, the staff are very friendly, the place is cool looking and spotless, but the food was found lacking terribly.

Looked forward to having a new restaurant in the area. However the food is just mediocre and overpriced for what it is. Will not be going back.

My daughter and I went to dinner at The Grove. I got the Reuben with broccoli and she ordered a chicken wrap. They did not have the first beer I ordered but I nailed it on the second try. Our waitress was attentive and helpful. She kept our water and teas full and checked on us frequently. The food took about ten minutes to prepare. Both orders were very good. The sandwich and wrap were served on sandwich boards versus plates so it was a little messy trying to keep the generous serving of meat and Kraut off the table. We enjoyed the experience, including a variety of sports on the TV’s. It is a nice atmosphere with good casual dining choices for a dinner with friends.

My first time at the Grove today for lunch. The place was packed… a good sign. The place is split into three areas, the dining side, a bar side(with a lot of tables and booths as well) and an outdoor patio. Full bar and long list of specialty cocktails. Several tv’s. The menu had a strong list of appetizers, several salads, a long list of sandwiches, tacos(think fish, brisket, pork, chicken), enchiladas and pizza. We started with the truffle fries since they sounded good, I read a tip on Unilocal and they were the least expensive appetizer. They were great! Fresh cut fries alted with truffle oil and salt, sprinkled with parm cheese and cilantro. I opted for the fish tacos which the menu said was on corn tortillas but I asked them to switch out to flour. The grilled mahi was good with slaw, sauce and some grilled onion and pepper. I would eat them again. My friend had an enchilada that she said was really good. I spotted several sandwiches that others had ordered. Huge French dips and Phillys! I’ll be going back and look forward to happy hour on the patio with $ 5 apps and cocktails or $ 1 off drafts. Booyah.

Great service with courteous staff. Took the kids in for pizza. They loved it! Added an order of Truffle Fries just for kicks — they were fantastic. 7 flat screens with multiple sports playing with Zac Brown on the speakers. Doors open to the afternoon breeze. Really enjoyed our visit. We’ll be back!

The Atmosphere is unique. Sports bars meets fine dining at a reasonable price. The food is absolutely amazing. We had the smoked Gouda dip as an appetizer. We replaced the toast points with fresh made corn tortilla chips. It was akin to the best vodka sauce I’ve ever had. For entrée the mahi mahi tacos were superb. Served with black beans and rice. The chicken Marsala was probably the best I’ve ever had. Not over the top. Perfectly cooked with a simple, delicious wine sauce. Had a cucumber ginger margarita that was good, but personally wasn’t fond of the basil. The strawberry line caipirinha in the other hand? PERFECTION! Will be back… Want to try out their gluten free pizza!

Ran into this little place on accident and so happy we did! Friendly staff, nice atmosphere, and great food. I ordered the Hangover Burger and he ordered the Gorgonzola Caramelized Onion burger with fries. Both were delicious and the presentation is super cool. The menu isn’t huge but still gives you a good variety of foods to pick from, definitely something for everyone as far as foods and price. Try this place out if you are looking for something new!
