Ordered take out tonight. Everyone was so professional! Over the phone customer service rocked, and the pizza was great! We will order from them again for sure! Bravo!

This is the type of place you go when you have kids who don’t care about the pizza flavor. The pizza dough is too thick with not that much cheese or favor. We also ordered chicken wings which were probably the worst ones I’ve had in a long time. They didn’t have any sauce on them. They looked and tasted soggy. If you want good quality pizza just go to Mary’s pizza shack right down the street.

Gluten-free pizza with lots of toppings is the secret and then you discover with each bite the crust is just okay, probably even as tasty as it is due to the olive oil. We did take-out so we could enjoy our Benziger Pinot Noir with it elsewhere.

The Pizza was great, my girlfriend didn’t like the combo so they replaced it with the chicken bacon ranch. Excellent customer service and the delivery was fast

This was the most disgusting pizza I’ve ever had. The dough was undercooked, the cheese was barely melted on, the pepperoni scarce, and the sauce was clearly an afterthought. We waited over an hour for the pizza to get delivered and when it got here it was cold. The lady on the phone was very helpful and nice so I’m guessing the service is great, but I will not be eating their food ever again.

Love half price Tuesday! Very good pizza at an awesome price on Tuesday. Service is good. Very friendly staff. The dining area is clean. The basic salad bar is available, if that’s important to you. Every time I drop in, sports are on the big screen and other programming on the screen on the other side of the dining room. Makes a good place for a cold beer and pizza after a long day.

Just had a bad experience with this Straw Hat location. The chicken wings we don’t know if they’re boiled, deep fried or what– but they are horrible. The pizza didn’t have any sauce on it barely, the veggies tasted old, the crust had a hole in it where it supposed to be filled with dough. Would have been better off going next door to the new Walmart and getting one of their pizzas to go and cooking it at home! That’s when you know that your pizzas bad. Hey Straw Hat, stop skimping and being cheap and start giving good food to your customers. That was $ 30– what a waste. Had multiple bad customer service experiences with them in the past and bad food experiences with them in the past but kept giving them chances — but this was the last straw no pun intended not going back anymore.

Had the buffet today for lunch. Good selection, nice full salad bar and sport and news on TV. Pizza crusts the thin type, fine by me. Meat and veggie plus garlic bread. $ 7.00 Salads included eggs, cottage cheese, and some pre made salads. A great lunch deal and fresh.

Good lord. Seriously? I’m reading the reviews saying they have good pizza and other food. My god it’s the worst pizza I’ve had since Cici’s pizza. Pasta was inedible. Reheated frozen pile of slime. Seriously not over exaggerating. Just awful. Sorry.

Personally havnt tried this straw hat, used to go to the one in Novato along time ago with my dad and it was good. I just wanted to comment on one of the reviews that a lady made complaining that her two pizzas she got delivered cost over $ 75 with claims they made charges on toppings she never made… why would you pay that much without asking why it cost that much in the first place? If the person taking the order did make a mistake you might have caught it, but instead you agreed to paying that much most likely just so you could complain on Unilocal… its people like you that i dont allow in my restaurant.

THE worst pizza I’ve had in a long time, over $ 75 for two large pies, the order was late, charged for toppings that never made it on the pizza and the over processed crust was apparently previously frozen. Never again…

Gluten Free Eaters BEWARE! We chose to get our pizzas from here because of their gluten free menu. Half of our party was allergic to wheat gluten while the other half was not. Both of our gluten free member did not feel so well after eating these«gluten free» pizzas. I suspect that although gluten free dough is used, no precautions are in place to prevent cross-contamination. The stuff tasted good but feeling ill afterwards is not worth it.

I recently moved to the area and was having a really hard time finding an approachable restaurant experience, I have found this at least here. The crust on the pizza is not too thick and not too thin. The sauce is probably the best part of the whole pie. Fast service always friendly. To go orders, delivery available, dine in. Straw hat even has 50% off tuesdays.

There is one middle aged lady that always works there and is so friendly. I feel bad sometimes she gets bombarded with too many guests trying to order. Anyways, the food is delicious. My personal favorite is bacon twists. For awhile I would get them everyday for a couple weeks. They welcome me warmly as soon as I walk in sometimes which made me feel at home. I like this local joint, even though they’re a chain pizza restaurant the employees make it as if it’s a local privately owned pizza place. I would come back if I wasn’t on a diet now…

Great fresh food, great service, great prices, great people. We love Straw Hat RP and eat there often. I love the salad bar! My husband can pig out on pizza on the Wednesday night buffet deal and I can stay healthy eating salad. They also have wonderful hot sandwiches, wings, cheesy bread and potato wedges. Cant say enough great things about it. .Oh. Love the owners!!!

Very Very nice locally owned family small town pizzera. Great value. Tuesdays they do a all you can eat for lunch special. Good spot for the family in a pinch. Pizza could use a little touching up.

Oh what to say, what to say? Good place for watching games. Pizza is okay. I prefer a more thin crust pizza, but the toppings are fresh. The salad bar is nothing special but does the trick. They even have cottage cheese! Not a fan myself, but you usually only see that at bigger salad bars. Otherwise, the salad bar is full of pizza toppings. The salad bar typically is all you can eat, however when we went I knew I wasn’t going to eat very much. So we asked the owner if it was okay to share one plate, and one trip. She laughed and said it was okay but we usually shouldn’t ask that, and just do it! The pitcher of beer is about 0.50 more than two pints, where you get more like 3.5 pints. I know they run specials most days of the week, and I believe there are beer specials during the games. Since we always came at dinner time(we were doing our laundry at the laundromat around the corner) can’t comment on the lunch specials. What we really did love?! Were the hat calzone thingies. OMG, so good. We got the pastrami and cheese one and asked for onions to be added. She warned it wouldn’t be as good with extras in it, but we had her do it anyway. It was so good, almost a little bit too much cheese and that was WITH us splitting it. I liked that she served it with mustard packets and a pickle sliver. And some potato chips! If I ordered it again I would totally add bell pepper as well. Be warned though, these take longer to get to the table than ordering a pizza. So if you know you want one of these you may want to order ahead. They hand make them when you order them. I also like how it’s a good place to bring kids. If I had any, I would bring them here. There’s a mini-arcade that caught my attention the first time we walked in. I just had to go check it all out. Mostly young kid stuff, but on the whole, cute. I love the service, wish I could love the pizza, but definitely love the hat calzone thingie. And it’s a great spot for beer and a game.

The healthy eating foodie in me shudders to admit this, but sometimes I crave an icky, horrible for you, greasy pizza. Straw hat is up there is this category. When I heard a rumor that they had gluten free pizza, I was shocked, and then double shocked that I actually cared to try it! It’s in the old Roger Wilco/Pacific Market shopping center with barely surviving stores, anchored by the lone starbucks. The lady at the counter was super friendly, and went to the back to triple check that the toppings and cheeses were gluten free for me. I was slightly dismayed that the gluten free, non healthy pizza set me back over $ 15, where a normal person could have the lunch buffet all you can eat pizza for around $ 8. It was a very thin crunchy crust, with ample cheese. I got the garlic mushroom chicken pizza, and the flavor was very authentic to the cravable horrible for you pizzas around. For the regular pizza person, they have beer specials that were very good, and i think they are trying to bring more business by expanding their selections, which is great.

I’ve been a customer of theirs for about the past 7 years. They are very convenient, as they are just down the street from me. The service is friendly, and quick. The pizza has always been pretty good, and I haven’t had a complaint about the pizza yet!
