It’s ok here. We stopped by after another restaurant we hoped to eat at was closed that day. We had two types of pierogi, the spinach and cheese and the potato. They came with some sour cream, grilled onions and chopped bacon. They were good, but not spectacular. I’ve enjoyed some store bought pierogi about just as much. They have some beef stew and potato pancake options that sounded intriguing, but we were too full from our meal to try it out. I guess I’d be ok with coming back here if I had to, but I’m not in any big hurry.

Pierogi Place is another hidden gem in Rolling Meadows. Last summer I went to Pierogi Fest in Whiting, IN, and I must say that the pierogis at Pierogi Place are easily better than any single pierogi I devoured at that celebration. Friendly staff and excellent daily specials make Pierogi Place a must-visit location.

My favorite are the potato pierogi’s. We have had the potato and cheese and maultaschen(meat and spinach) as well — they are pretty good. You can have the pierogi’s boiled or fried — I prefer them boiled because the fried ones are a bit too greasy for me. They will give you all the apple sauce and sour cream you want. I also like to get the stuffed cabbage which isn’t as good as my grandma’s but it is good for the price(2 smaller pieces for $ 5).

What a yummy little place! 15 kinds of pierogies and plenty of other Polish specialties to choose from. Tried them for the first time today with my husband & mother-in-law. We all had the lunch special: 3 pierogies(any kind), 2 potato pancakes, polish sausage & a bowl of the soup of the day– all for $ 6.99! And all comes with sauteed onions & bacon, plus sour cream & applesauce. OMG– it was all deeelish! I really like how you can choose to have your pierogies fried or boiled. I’m not sure what our soup was but it was very tasty, and a big bowl. And these were the best potato pancakes I’ve ever had. Plus the presentation of the dish was something you’d expect in a pricier place, not a walk up counter casual joint; Very nice. Add in the pleasant décor, clean bathrooms, and great tunes playing– my new fave for lunch!

I hadn’t been to Pierogi Place in awhile, and was looking forward to going there for a meatless Lenten Friday dinner. The cheese and plum pierogi were really good, but I was super disappointed in their customer service. The cashier proceeded to say disrespectful things about women while talking with another customer, and it REALLY turned me off to this place. He seemed young, but if you are old enough to be a cashier, you are old enough to know better. Pierogi Place has great food, but I don’t think I’ll be returning. I hope they learn to step things up with their customer service!

Finally stopped in here the other day after meaning to check it out for a while and dreaming of delicious pierogi… The pierogi were, in fact, very fresh and oh how I enjoyed them. However, the star for me were the potato pancakes. Crispy on the outside, moist inside, just a perfect pancake. I ordered the«Lent Special» advertised in the window, but unforunately they were out of fish and replaced it with sausage without any warning :-(Imagine my surprise and disappointment when i walked up to the counter to retrieve my food. The sausage and bacon/onion mix on top of the pierogi looked AMAZING, but no can do :-(They were nice enough to give me 2 additional potato pancakes to make up for the mishap. All in all, very cute little place, with delicious food. Can’t wait to go back and try the sausage and other offerings.

Oh my my my. where do I start?!? If you love pierogis then check this place out! I’ve pretty much tried every kind(except the fruit ones) and let me tell you — de-friken-licious. You can order them deep fried or boiled, they come with a side of bacon and sour cream(not a low fat meal). Its a pick up your food at the counter and go sit down type of place and avrg. price for the area. OK — so I do have to admit I’ve never tried anything else off the menu besides the pierogis but I’ll try to live on the wild side next time I go in.

Pierogis are decent, a bit greasy. The service needs to learn how to be friendlier to customers. They seem really apathetic and don’t reflect well on the place.

We ordered a whole spread for a party. Gramma’s 90th party to be precise. Gramma can judge some polish food, and she gives this place 4 stars, cuz it’s not as good as she would’ve done it. I give this place 5 stars, because she didn’t have to do it. Honestly, they were great to deal with, honored a coupon that was mentioned after ordering, and provided a wonderful polish spread(pierogi, stuffed cabbage, polish sausage, salads) that everyone enjoyed.

Best Pierogi in Chicago hands down. They have the highest quality filling and the food is cooked just right. Extremely clean you can eat right off the table. The apple sauce is very good and sour cream is fresh. I don’t think I have have better pierogi in a restaurant. It is very nice inside and plenty of seating. Inexpensive food very hight quality and delicious. Best Pierogi place around. Five star everyday

It’s not that often can see any polish restaurant in this area. Pierogi place is a fast food restaurant, where have a huge selection of Pierogi and different variety of polish food. Boiled meat pierogi and potato pierogi, potato pancakes always are my favorite, My polish friend told me that their food is very authentic, price is fair and restaurant is clean, staffs are nice, good service, it is always the place for me to grab a quick lunch!

Plump, soft morsels of goodness. That’s what Pierogi Place serves up. All of the pierogies were so fresh, I wish I lived closer to this joint! I especially liked the meat and mushroom ones. Order up the polish sausage, but save room for the cheese blintzes! The sweet pierogies are also a go and come with dollops of whipped cream on the side.

This place has it all. There is a damn good ‘Polish Plate’ that is a nice sampling of traditional Polish foods. It has Pierogi, potato, kraut, kielbasa, and goompkie. Really good, except when I think of fried pierogis, I did not expect deep fried. I prefer boiled. The staff was really nice. The work friend I went with is Polish so when she spoke with them in Polish, they gave us free cake at the end. This place is good stick to your ribs filling.

WOW. Their selection is, indeed, huge, and if the pierogi sampler plate is the special of the day — get it. I did the last time we were there, and discovered that meat & spinach pierogi are TERRIFIC. And one of these days, I’m going to work up the courage to ask them how to make their soups; twice now the bowl of soup that comes with has been fantastic. And the spicy sauce they offer with the pierogi is delicious! The sampler platter of Polish goodies includes pierogi, stuffed cabbage, sauerkraut, roasted potatoes, and of course Polish sausage. It’s a great introduction if you’re not familiar with Polish food(also if you look at their menu & realize that EVERYTHING looks good). The hunter stew with potato pancakes is marvelous, with a smoky flavor that is really satisfying. And hey — the weather’s getting colder, it’s time for more substantial food. Oh, and the prices are friendly, too!

This is a great new Polish restaurant that just opened, specializing in Pierogis. They’ve got a huge selection of sweet and savory pierogis, your choice of boiled or fried. They also have many other traditional Polish foods like Borsch, Stuffed Cabbage, Goulasch, and Potato Pancakes. For a new restaurant, they’re doing quite well — the place was packed when we got there and food was coming out of the kitchen pretty quickly. Service was friendly and the food was great! Apparently there was an untapped huge demand in the Northwest Suburbs for Polish lunch spots — and Pierogi Place has stepped in and does it well.
