This was a great massage during an extended layover. Yes, it is slightly more expensive than a normal spa but I was more than willing to pay for the convenience.

No matter how long your flight is delayed, do NOT go here for a manicure. This was single handedly the worst experience I ever had. The woman who started my manicure had NO idea what she was doing. There is no way she could have been trained to do this, she must have been filling in for someone, but WHY would anyone let her do this? I attempted to walk out after she had completely ruined the shape of my nails and had proven that she did not know how to cut a cuticle. They even attempted to cut my cuticles before they soaked me. Hello? The point of the soaking is to puff up and soften the cuticles in order to cut. When I attempted to leave, the manager came over and finished my manicure. She was very sweet and apologized for what had been going on so I stayed. However she has NO idea what she is doing either! She attempted to fix the shape. They looked terrible. The polish was sloppy and the top coat dried with bubbles. The cost was $ 27.50 of which she charged me $ 20 for the inconvenience. Worst $ 20 I ever spent. Spent another $ 15 when I got home to have them fixed. Avoid this place like the plague. I don’t believe that either of them were ever professionally trained to do manicures.

Clean. Friendly. Great massage. Good way to kill time in the McNamera terminal. But a bit expensive for what you get.

Services are entirely overpriced. I paid $ 50 for a pedicure, yes a pedicure. Nothing fancy about it. I sat in a high chair and my feet were placed in a large metal bowl. In addition, to the lack of professional chairs, no dryers were available to dry the polish. I was given disposal sandals and a paper towel was placed between my toes. Professional much? After a 45 minute wait, I felt it was safe to place my shoes back on. Sadly, it was not. My polish was ruined. $ 50 down the drain.

As a frequent traveler, and connecting at DTW often these days, this was a welcome addition to my 3+ hour layover. I had an hour massage that was on special, and got a very good massage. Was it 20 bucks more than I would typically pay? Yep. Was it AWESOME to get a massage during a layover? YEP. I will most likely be back for a 3rd, 4th or 5th time. Unless I get more direct flights. :)

Sadly, my second visit was right out of keystone cops, and I left with a deep sigh, really bummed out. They were really understaffed and the customers already having services paid the price by having to wait while the new customer appointments were booked. This meant that I had to leave mid-service or I’d have been there much longer than anticipated. Also, the esthetician I thought I was booked with was off, and I was so disappointed, as she was amazing during my first visit. It was not a very professional environment this time around. It’s a great concept that needs some adjustments.

Also had a 2 hour layover and was looking for some time to kill. i had seen this place before, but didnt have the time to stop. The prices were more reasonable than i thought they’d be($ 20 for 15 chair massage, $ 10 – 15 oxygen service) and the staff was very nice. Also offered a whole variety of other services from full body massages to manicures and pedicures. I visited around 9−10am, so i was able to walk right in without an appointment. The chair massage was good and as expected, and i decided to tack on the oxygen treatment afterward for $ 10. That was a first time experience and i was hoping for a little more from the 98% oxygen, but didnt feel much of anything after sitting there for about 15 minutes.(I was hoping to at least feel a little refreshed and energetic) Overall, a good stop at reasonable prices, but nothing i couldnt miss the next time.

I don’t know if I can Unilocal!A HELLYES! loud enought, but… I’ll try! I fly out one or twice a week, and coming home and stopping in for a 15 minute chair massage is the best way to spend some cash and cheaper than stopping off for a $ 12.00 beer at the airport bar… ok they aren’t that much, but… you get the idea. Staff is awesomely friendly(if that is a word) and they know what they are doing. They almost talked me into getting a pedicure, but if those poor ladies only knew what was hiding in these shoes… Don’t be like me-try and make an appointment. Sometimes I get turned away. Well worth the money.

I had a layover in the Detroit Airport(DTW) last year and I was very dreading the 3-hours of lull time before my connecting flight home. Thank goodness for the McNamara Terminal, this terminal had high-quality shops and this Spa. I look at the price list and saw that it was 20−25% less than what I pay for in San Francisco or even Dallas. Most travelers prefer the reflexology or hand massage with foot bath right in front of the spa. I chose the full body massage. The rooms and general feeling of the spa isn’t like the Sonoma Mission Inn & Spa but it is what it is. The only drawback was the airport noise that was distracting. I had a great massage and I’m always looking to see if I could make a try with a layover in DTW.
