I really liked the work my therapist(John) did. I just wish I had more time. I had a two hour layover and hoped to have a Table massage. The check in area told me to come back in 45 minutes and that would have — at best– left me 30 minutes with time to pay and get to my gate. I arrived on time and was told it would be a couple minutes. A few minutes later they had me fill out a form. They could have easily given me the form when I had first arrived. After filling it out, I was told it would be a few more minutes. So much for scheduling something. I ended up going into the table room 15 minute late and had to opt for 25 minutes and pay for 30. While I was there others left. The group was well staffed but there seemed to be little concern for boarding times or scheduled appointments opting of give service to whoever may had actually been I the area first, even though I had booked when I arrived at the airport.

Kimmy, who did my pedicure was great! She was really nice to talk to and did a good job on my feet. A couple other members of the staff seemed rude. I had to wait 30 minutes for an appointment then the pedi itself took about an hour. I thought a regular pedi(not gel) would cost around $ 30 but it was pricy! $ 55 plus tip! I usually pay $ 35 for both mani/pedi. I suppose you pay for the convenience in an airport. I just wish they would’ve been upfront about the cost.

I stopped in for a manicure and was helped by a really nice man(he and the other massage therapist who was super friendly/helpful are getting the two stars). There was one person on the list in front of me and he couldn’t get a straight answer from one of the manicurists(there were 3 there at the time) as to how long the one in front of me would take, so he just told me to come back in an hour and wrote me down for an appointment. I came back and hour later and it appeared the appointment in front of me was only about mid way through and they were down to one manicurist. Since I had plenty of time, I just took a seat to wait. About then, another lady came in to get a manicure and they told her it would be a 30 minute wait. Since my manicure hadn’t even started and the one in front of me had taken an hour(so far) I was worried that they’d skipped me, so I inquired with the girl standing behind the desk. She showed me I was still on the list, and assured me it would be just«a few minutes». Fast forward a few minutes and directly in ear-shot of me, the same girl complains to a co-worker(who were both standing around doing nothing) «God, it’s only 6:19, what’s her problem?» At that point I got up and left. Snotty behavior in a very service-oriented industry is not in good form. I’d rather give me money to people who are not going to be jerks. Also, I walked by 15 minutes after I left and the person before me was still not done with her manicure.

Had a pleasant 30 minute chair massage while waiting for Delta to pull their heads out of their collective asses and fix the AC on the plane. I guess your experience depends on the provider, but I experienced a pretty thorough deep tissues massage, including my as and hands.

So glad I made the choice to stop in for a massage. I have been traveling for 25 hours at this point with a bunch of students from my school. I just spent 10 days traveling through Europe with them and really needed a little help. This place was the answer to my prayers. I stopped in for a 30 minute chair massage but they were a little busy. No worries. I had some time. While I was waiting, they allowed me to sit in one of their massage chairs. I don’t know if these chairs are available to the regular market but I absolutely need one. I could not believe a massage chair could feel this good. The shiatsu settings on my back were amazing. The calf and foot massagers were unreal! When I sat in the chair and the young lady who massage me got started I was in heaven. I asked for deep tissue and told her all of my issues and she went to work and undid all of the abuse I had put on my body for the 10 days prior. For 30 minutes it cost $ 67 which, for a normal massage, is a little spendy. But it was worth every penny plus the tip. If you are ever in a travel nightmare and stuck at the Detroit airport, make no mistake, this is the place to kick back and relax for the little time you have here.

1) I was iffy at first to get a manicure because I had an hour before my flight took off. However, I was assured that the express manicure took 15m. It skimped a few things, but was cheaper($ 30), and most importantly, only 15m. Fast forward 40m, and I’m running out the door, and get there as they’re closing the gate for my flight. That sucked, especially since I kept asking throughout if we could finish up, and it STILL didn’t include the normal manicure things like a hand massage, lotion, etc. 2) I thought I was looking at the gel manicure price of $ 30, which seemed reasonable given that it doesn’t include most of the standard perks of a manicure. Nope. Sticker shock at the register. A gel manicure costs $ 50, which I would have passed on, had I seen the real price. 3) After the hassle of a long appointment that nearly cost me my flight, and a price that was almost double what I expected and was willing to pay, my gel manicure is now chipping after 48 hours. This place doesn’t win on service, price, or quality.

Absolutely loved my pedi. Lasted approx 45 mins. Busy place. Great color selection. I will definitely be back if I’m ever caught up at this airport again.

Great surprise for a deep tissue neck and back chair massage. «Mike», the massage therapist, at the Detroit Airport, Be Relax Spa gave an outstanding deep tissue massage. I was waiting for my connecting flight on 11÷26÷14, and my neck and shoulder muscles were tight and sore. Mike gave an excellent 20 minute chair massage, which really helped loosen the muscles and relieve the soreness. He is also a professional personal trainer and gave me exercises to help stretch and relax my neck and shoulders. The spa also has great full body massage chairs, which provide good relaxation. I wish I had a longer layover, so that I could have had a full body massage. So, when you are in the Detroit Airport stop by the Be Relax Spa and ask for«Mike.» He is an outstanding massage therapist. I wish that he worked in Chicago, IL.

Wow. What an expected surprise. Popped in for a massage during my layover and was lucky enough to get Amateis. She does not mess around! Friendly and professional and incredibly strong. I booked two minute with her but then did an additional ten minutes because it was so incredible. Her skills rival massages I’ve had at five star hotels. They also offer mani/pedis and the chairs there are very high end — powerful and lots of features. It was $ 40 for 20 minutes and worth every penny. You’ll want to see Amateis!
