I love checkers in general but I don’t appreciate how they can’t get my order right. Half of the time they don’t put extra toppings when I ask for it and I asked for one apple pie but yet I seemed to have two apple pies in my bag and got charged for two which isn’t cool to be honest.

This is your typical Checkers/Rally’s fast food burger place. The menu is the same as all the other locations though they only seem to change their specials very sporadically here. So, with all this«same as any other”-ness, it must be exactly as one would expect. Right? However, the one thing that usually sets one location apart from another is the way in which it’s operated. That is the case here. First, they must know they’re not receiving favorable critique if you call the number on the back of the receipt so they’ve scrambled the Store # in the header of the sales ticket, preventing poor reviews from being traced back to them. I’ve been playing 4Square for a few weeks now & have checked-in here a few times on my way home, since I’m the current ‘Mayor’, to collect my free soda(the Milk Shake machine is broken). Pretty much every time I’m here they make a mistake with my order… if only they weren’t so conveniently located in proximity to my house. The last two visits, I requested extra ketchup & extra pickles on my burgers. The first time I forgot to check until I got home, only to find the most pathetic excuse for one shredded pickle slice on each with the ‘standard’ amount of ketchup. Why did I bother asking? On my next visit, I didn’t mention their prior mistake but made sure to check if they got it right this time. Again, what appeared to be the regular amount of ketchup but this time one burger had two shredded pickle slices while the other had the same single slice as last time. I opened both burgers in front of them and stated(just as a matter of fact, not nasty or antagonizing) that I asked for extra ketchup & pickles but this is what I was given, showing them. I requested & received a small container with some pickles & a handful of ketchup packets. They do have great fries but seem to be hit or miss on how many you get with the same size order from visit to visit. The apple pie was stale the last time, too. The one thing that should be expected from one location to another should be consistency but they just don’t have that here. I mean, it’s a Checkers so I pretty much know what to expect but they fail to deliver on even the most basic of typical fast food items. Hopefully, they just need a management change to set this place right.

Situated oddly on a corner(not awkward in itself), I stopped by this Checkers on a beautificalmagnificous Friday. The dude behind the counter had no sense of personal bubble space, but the overall bubbliness he displayed during an odd squeal was so contagious that Ms. Caillat would be proud. He glady accepted my coupon for a free milkshake(went with vanilla this time around, which was alright) and sent me on my way back to the hustle bustle of Ronko; I’d almost go so far to say that the concentration of businesses along Portion Rd. is dross, but if all the spots deliver like this, I see no need to eliminate any of ‘em.

Checkers is a great fast food restaurant. Their main business is drive-thru(there are two sides), but they do have a walk up counter and there are a few tables and seats outside by the parking lot. Checkers menu is pretty similar to other fast food restaurants. burgers, chicken tenders, hot dogs. Burgers are pretty large and tasty. I always enjoy the Cheese Double Cheese Burger. The fries are some of the best of fast food places. Definitely make sure to order them. The only downside of this place is that they seem to make a fair amount of mistakes with orders, so make sure to check you have everything or everything is right before you leave! They seem to have gotten better in recent years, but I am still always cautious with this place. Checkers also often has coupons out, so you can usually end up getting a good meal at a really reasonable price.
