This is a to-go review only LOCATION: easy to find on portion road, down the st from Khol’s and Wendys. Parking is a bit tight. DECOR: very nice inside, small, but decorated nicely. They have a small bar area w high top stools and then regular seating also. FOOD: ordered a chicken parm pie and margherita pie. Both were tasty. There could have been a bit more chicken pieces on the chicken parm pie, they were a bit skimpy on that compared to other places ive been. But overall the pizza was good and flavorful. SERVICE: very quick and efficient. The blonde man behind counter that helped me was very friendly. I think I would probably return here in the future. The chicken, bacon and ranch pizza looked amazing– I would like to try that out.

As others have stated, they have a large selection of specialty pies to choose from, including one of my favorites the fried clam slice. The place is clean, and the staff is friendly and seem fun. Would definitely recommend if you’re in the area.

Ronkonkoma is pizza city, one spot gets all the glory, surly people serve greasy pies for exorbitant prices. No need to name names, but Gino’s is not it. Newly and beautifully renovated Gino’s serves Fresh, hot pies of incredible variety. Peroni on tap, friendly atmosphere. Bring the family. Highly recommended.

Absolute BEST pizza on long Island. I have always come here and they consistently have good quality food. A newer item is the baked clam pizza which is awesome if you like baked clams. Even though pizza in general is a little more pricier these days, this is where to get it. You won’t be disappointed.

Ah 3 ½ stars, I’ll be nice. My son tells me, Dad this is the best pizza I had in my life. We gotta go!(The same kid who doesn’t like cream cheese on bagels, I question his choices) Now I’m reading the reviews, someone wrote I should be privileged to eat here? What the HELL does that even mean? Get out much pal? My wife ordered two specialty slices that we split. One of them was the«clam» pizza. Maybe it should be called the bread crumb pizza. Not a single clam on the slice. Read my Pizzetteria Brunetti review in Westhampton regarding clam pizza. What I did notice was the crust. A Long Island slice is foldable, this slice stood straight up. I also noticed sesame seeds on the crust? The next slice was for me to guess. Fresh mozzarella cheese, nice sauce and a crust so hard that I was actually crunching it like a pretzel. We all get up and I asked the counter guy what flavor of pizza is this? It’s a pizza called a Margarita? Gino’s Pizza is a nice looking place, I’m pretty sure I’d rather have it closer to me than what’s being served in East Setauket/Port Jefferson. The clam pizza made me lob off a star, the margarita pizza wasn’t bad

Seriously, what happened to Ginos. Just ordered a pizza and penne al a vodka. Worst crap I ever had. I called immediately and complained about the penne and they sent a new one out but was just as horrible as the first. I also had a large hair in the slice of pizza I had. I always loved this place for it authenticity but won’t be returning anytime soon. All I really want is my money back.

Well, we have been coming here for a few years after using other places in the area. We now drive by all the other places just to come here. Pizza is great, the deep fried calzones are great, the food is great, but it’s the people behind the counter that make it all worthwhile going there. We could have the food delivered, but I would rather go there and chat with these guys and pick up our food. They just renovated the place and it looks fantastic! Keep up the great work !

Newly renovated and it’s way bigger and nicer, looks great! Ive eaten about 4 times and it is very consistent… I’ve eaten the regular and the Brooklyn slices. The crust is a little bit thicker than I prefer but it’s always the perfect well done and crispy. A little«heavy» but one slice is very filling. A favorite of locals in the area and my boyfriends favorite pizza place as well! The place is constantly packed so that speaks for itself. The guys behind the counter and the girls that waitress are extremely friendly and super helpful. Parking is horrible. Big bonus is that they deliver locally.

This is probably one of my favorite full service Pizza places in the smithtown/Ronkonkoma vicinity. The pizza is generally pretty good as is the food They just remodeled so it’s nicer inside and much more room. I always refer to this place as the«NICE Ginos» because everyone here is SUPER friendly and goes out of their way to be cool, as opposed to the Nesconset Ginos where they make It seem like you should feel privileged they are allowing you to eat there

Great pizza the sauce was a little plain, but the workers are extremely friendly and nice, the buffalo slices are great too. The grandma slice was made with mozzarella as well as Sicilian slice which is great, the sauce as I said was a little plain however just for how nice the guys were I would go there again.

Quite simply a delectable slice of pizza. Even though there are many great pizzerias in the pizza belt, this place stands out from the rest. Not too greasy and overly cheesy like jersey. A thin crust cooked to perfection. It will be a true test of my will power to not have too much pizza from Gino and friends.

Grandma pizza was pretty good — a bit salty. The restaurant has nice outdoor seating. We were able to enjoy the nice weather. Staff is very friendly!

Gino’s is our go-to for pizza. You might not think so, but it can be tricky to find an over-the-top killer take-out pizza joint on long island. Gino’s is that place. Everyone sings the praises of Little Vincent’s up the road but we ordered from there exactly once in the 9 years we have lived in the area and that was one time too many. Overhyped, undercooked and bland. But that’s a story for a different review. Gino’s is stellar. It’s just perfect NY pie. Crunchy on the bottom(what is worse than soggy pizza? Please tell me.), lots of stretchy, real cheese and a delicious pizza sauce. Simple perfection. I have never once called to place an order and not heard total chaos in the background. This place is consistently busier than hell and with good reason… and yet, when you come to pick up your order, they are always friendly, joking, energetic and seem stoked to be there even though there are like nine hundred million people in there trying to feed their faces. Love that. I’m super intrigued by the specialty pies I see behind the glass but I always end up just ordering the standard cheese pie or adding fresh garllc if we’re feeling feisty. The knots are almost always perfect too… crunchy on the outside and soft on the inside with oily, buttery, garlicky yum dripping off them. I think I got a burnt batch like once. Whatever, it happens. There are a couple of other good pizza joints in the neighborhood so we do try and mix it up every once in awhile but we always come back to Gino’s.

On Long Island pizza by the slice is part of life. It is a delicious pleasure we partake in block by block. But when you find the right combination of a crunchy bottom + gooey cheese. My God. Visiting Long Island, where I grew up, I have been eating my way strip mall by strip mall. Gino’s has been on my to-do list for about twenty years. Yes. While conveniently located near Sachem high school(*my* high school) I never quite made it there. Yesterday my Dad and I finally had time. I’m so glad we did. The location is brightly lit, absurdly clean and(and !) serves beer. And wine. The pizza crust is delightful. The crunch satisfying. The cheese a heavenly balance of something you simply want more of. I loved. it. My Dad loved it. I’m trying to convince my Mom we should eat pizza for breakfast. But perhaps I’ll just sneak out… My expectations were set in the middle range as — full disclosure — I babysat all four of Gino’s soccer playing kids. I figured, «Eh, pizza.» But Gino hails from Italy. And in Italy they apparently know something about pizza.

I am in the area, visiting from out of country, so I have been relying on a Unilocal to help me try local food and dinner places. After reading the reviews, I thought I would give this place a go. The moment I walked into Gino’s Pizzeria I was hit with the scents of rich tomato and pizza, it was pleasant to arrive in a store that didn’t reek of fat and grease. The store was clean and not overly crowded or busy, especially for 12:30 — which I assumed would be a lunch time rush. The décor is simple, and not overbearing — to me, it is a comfortable atmosphere and I would happily eat in here. At first it was a tad difficult finding the menu, the man at the counter pointed out the small printed menus. The lack of signage was a tad bothersome, but the staff were quick to help. The smell encouraged me to order a large cheese pizza rather than a quick single slice which I had originally planned. The gourmet pizzas in the front counter look appetizing but a tad old, I would rather a fresh pizza, which is what I ordered to go. The men behind the counter seem friendly outgoing and have an overall positive demeanor. On to the pizza itself: I ordered a large cheese pizza for $ 13.35 and was told there would be a ten minute wait. Pizza came out on time! The crust and base was crisp, the tomato sauce is rich and fresh the cheese was good, not fantastic. I believe even a basic cheese pizza should have at least a handful of basil thrown on to add to taste. I was still happy with the pizza, as the sauce definitely added to the overall taste. It was definitely enjoyable — enough for me to come back in the future if I ever find myself up this way again!
