Starbucks

I must have hit them on a good day because the server/​baristas were super nice and apologetic that they could not let me use my free item on food (drink only). I got my tea and I was out of them. All good.

Two people take over 5 mins to make two drinks for ONE CUSTOMER? And then can’t read each others writing on and cup and can’t even remember the order I have them 5 seconds ago??? Get another job… worst Starbucks I’ve ever been to hands down

I seriously think the girl taking the orders was high or hung over this past Friday morning. Every order she took was wrong. Lady in front of me wanted her chai latte iced — they made it hot — remake! Lady in front of her asked if they could heat her croissant before she ordered it. Girl at register: «uh-​huh» — the poor lady got her croissant cold. Then she asked the girl to heat it and she said «oh we can’t do that» Then that lady got iced latte when she wanted it hot — another re-​do! My passion fruit iced tea unsweetened came sweetened — re-​do. Then my hot oatmeal had so much water in it it was nasty and the high or hungover moron left out my brown sugar. I was already on my flight by this point so I couldn’t go back to get some. Oh, and the manager on duty who came out to check when the croissant lady was complaining — he was about 18 years old and didn’t say a word — just looked and went back into his office. Guess when you have a place in the airport where you have no real competition you can put virtually anyone to work there because your captive audience can’t go elsewhere. I’d like to say I won’t be back but what other choice do I have?

Get your food when u get thru security. Few options by the gates.

Coffee.
I want to preface this by saying that I am not normally a fan of Starbucks but will hit them in a pinch.
I had one of the first flights out of Islip airport on a Wednesday morning and having a few minutes to spare, I decided to stop at Starbucks as it was right down from the gate and there were only two people ahead of me.
I got my large coffee ($ 2.93 ouch) and went to put the sugar and cream in — mind you I had a back pack and a laptop bag — and a gigantic boiling hot cup of overpriced coffee. How do I know it was boiling hot? Well apparently I didn’t snap the lid on tightly and when I went to pcik it up it spilled all over my hand and burnt the shit out of it. two weeks later and I still bear the scars. I can only thank the stars that my jacket slid down and covered the rest of my hand or it would have been worse.

I just tossed that disaster and got on the plane.
Avoid.

The staff is very helpful even to those of us who don’t like coffee. Yes, I went there for yogurt and their fruit and nut packs. They were quick and efficient even with a line.

Yet another Starbucks review, my friends. =) The only Starbucks at the MacArthur Airport and thankfully past the security gates. It’s perfect because you can grab a coffee right before your flight and be well hydrated for the duration of your trip.
The service is quick and the folks working here were very friendly. They also sell New York mugs so if you’re a collector like myself, you can grab one on the way out of town.
