The Moorings

I’ve lived here for about 9 months now. At its to loved the place «new» updates and a «nicer» community.
The updates are cheap. Cheaply installed. They look pretty but you can tell its rushed and installed by people who aren’t knowledgable in installing carpets base boards, counters and such. Upon moving in we found 10 nails laying around on the carpet!!! We have a 1 year old so it was pretty terrible.
ALL I REPEAT ALL!!! Of my windows leak A LOT of air. I even got the plastic covering over my sons window and it’s still freezing. My sliding door leaks air so bad the blinds constantly move! The office sent a letter out saying we MUST keep our heat at 70 all winter && if we don’t and the pipes freeze we are responsible. little did they know I have to keep my heat at 80 and sweat my life away just so my sons room isn’t freezing.
Between all the landscaping and paths the lawn mower in summer and the plow in winter my son barely gets a good nap here! My neighbors are quiet which is great. The pool is nice the ponds are nice but many kids play on them when it freezes over and I’m not cool with that!
I’ve mentioned to the office putting a wood fence around it so kids keep off and they said «there is a sign». To me that means they would rather kids fall in and hurt themselves then put up a 500 $ fence. Kids are running around everywhere! The park here is really really outdated and SAD the kids just run around and pretty much destroy things.
Parking gets packed some days and I walk extremely far to get to my building. Lugging groceries from my far parking lot is horrific with a 1 year old. I would have gotten a place closer to the parking lot if I could decide again.
The ladies in the office have changed since I’ve been here to rude ladies. They constantly send me rent reminders when I’ve paid my rent ONTIME OR EARLY.
This place is just not worth it to me AT ALL. For the money I pay I could find a cute town house or a nicer community. Will not be signing another lease I can’t wait to move!
