Hard place to find if you aren’t familiar with the area. Street parking is okay, not hard to get a spot. Neighborhood is quiet and mainly residential. Inside atmosphere is cute. You can definitely eat in here. Now. the food. I came here spur of the moment once because my beloved Au Bön Gout was closed. Food was delicious. I wasn’t sure what to expect, so I went with a safe chicken option. It was more«stew-y» than i like(still yummy) but it is possible I didn’t order it correctly. I wasn’t familiar with their menu. However, I would DEF go back, and plan to. I brought a Haitian food«newbie» with me and he is HOOKED. So they did something right! :-)

There aren’t many Haitian restaurants around, so when you find a gem you keep it. The food is consistently good. The menu is just the right amount of items. The only downside is, they do not make djon djon often enough. Only on Fridays. I love that rice!

If you like Jamacain oxtail try Haiti’s version and I promise you, you will have found a new favorite. Timane’s really knows how to make a great oxtail. The sauce is perfect and the meat is fork tender… No, spoon tender. Call ahead because the daily specials change but believe you me you will personally thank me for sharing. :-)
