Wow what can I say… This bakery has all sorts of pastries. Hot dog buns, pudding, bread loaves, chocolate croissants, you name it. The croissants are my favorite because it’s crispy outside and soft on the inside. The outside rack is where they have freshly made bread. Smells good and is very light and fluffy! All the pastries are under 3 – 4 dollars! The workers are nice, but they need improvement in customer service. Highly recommend this bakery if you’re craving sweets, and if you’re looking for traditional pastries.

Rude lady(in her 50’s) works in the front counter. Went on Memorial Day(5÷30÷16) around 3pm. I bought 5 bread and ask for an extra bag, only because I want to eat one in the car so I have a trash bag to keep all the crumbs. When asked for the extra bag, the lady replied in Chinese:” What are we going to use if you use ALL of our bags?” You must be kidding me! By asking for one extra bag means I’m consuming ALL your bags. The lady could have replied nicely by saying we are short on bags, therefore I can not spare extra bags. But, no, she has to act with such a nasty demeanor. Now the bread quality. It is a two star quality.

Asian bakery near work that opens nice and early in the morning! They’ve got your typical Chinese bakery buns FRESHBREAD, if you want the freshest go to the trays by the cashier, that’s where the breads that haven’t yet been bagged sit for cooling —pineapple bun: soft bread with a crumbly top just like I like it for $ 1 —taro bun: soft and the filling was good but so much filling! I was stuffed afterwards They also have savory pastries in the hot case and I saw breakfast egg and meat buns in the morning

I bought tapioca drink today and it was all sour. Please don’t get this product from them as they cannot stand behind it. They handed me a product unfit for human consumption.

My family comes to this bakery almost every other week. Their breads are baked fresh daily and pretty affordable. I usually pick my breads from the cooling trays because then I would know it truly is fresh LOL! Cakes are fairly priced considering what you get.

Terrible customer service and goods you can find made at any other bakery if not better. People probably only go here due to their connection with most Asian families(like me) but would not recommend going here unless you want to have a baddd time.

Their coconut pineapple bread is so awesome and taste so good! I love their chrysanthemums tea too! I always come in the morning before I go to work and get my breakfast there. Good and fast customer service.

Not too happy with this place. The last couple of times I’ve come here I’ve gotten really old tarts. They were so old I had to throw them out. I always check when I get home and I feel like my money is wasted. They have also been out of a lot of things, mainly the slices of mango cake. I come far and I come early in the morning so there’s really no excuse. The strawberry cake roll is not good anymore. There’s too much cake and not enough icing. The icing could be a tad bit sweeter. The bakery just isn’t as good to me anymore as it used to be!

I like this place! They speak chiu chou here and apparently my mom has been going here for years. The ladies who work there are super nice. The pastries are pretty good and way cheap! Only thing I am not a fan of is the egg tart. Its okay but I’ve had better. But overall a great bakery! Ga Gi Nang!

This place has the worse customer service ever. Not only are the people working here rude, they are also dirty! I’ve been in here once before to get a quick cake and a lady was sweeping the floor. There was a rack of baked goods to my left and she’s sweeping towards my direction. All those dust particles going onto those pastries. disgusting. Today… My mom went in to buy something. A man left his pastries on the counter and continued looking. My mom finished and went to the counter to pay. The lady(with short hair, bangs covering her face) at the register and said, «It’s not your turn.» So she stood there and waited. The man was still looking. Taking quite some time. The lady at the register could’ve easily rang her up for the two items but she told my mom, «Can you move? I told you that it’s not your turn. People working here have no manners. They also try to rip you off by charging you $ 3 for a box to put your cake in. I would give them zero stars if that was an option.

Quaint little Asian Bakery. Preordered on the phone for 50 of the Taro Mooncakes. It was hard to speak to the lady as she knew little English, but she delivered earlier than I expected. Very good quality, they are known for the taro moon cakes! It used to be about $ 1.00 or $ 1.10 each but she rang me up for $ 1.40 each. Nevertheless, these treats are for my coworkers so money isn’t an issue. Quality is great!!! She told me to stick the Mooncakes in the freezer and either let them come to room temp or microwave before eating so they stay fresh the longest. Busy right after I left. Glad I came earlier than said on the phone.

I bought a wedding cake here. I asked for a square 3 layered cake with rounded sides. They delivered to me on my wedding day, an unfinished cake. Cake was lacking cream coverage and uneven layering. I don’t think I was asking them for too much when I just ordered a PLAIN white cake. I would NEVEREVER recommend ANYONE to get their wedding cake there!!! The cake looked so bad that my florist tried to cover/fix it! When I went back to the bakery to tell them how bad the cake turned out, they told me I should have stop the cake cutting and called them to come get the cake. I was like are you serious? Who would stop in the middle and call for a refund!!! This was partly my fault for ordering from them and not reading reviews first!!!

I mean I guess their cakes are good. not too sweet. I recommend their cakes. :D but mostly, I go there for their cakes. They really should have rainbow sprinkles. their choco sprinkles are fine and all, but I need a little color!

Guilty as charged. Loading up on the Carbs here. Best time to arrive is around 9ish. If you come any earlier, not all the pastries are baked & brought out on the racks. That’s right, the baked goods are all on racks for you to choose. They have trays & tongs for you to use. Now the hard part is to figure out what’s what on the racks. There’s no labels so it’s almost like a box of chocolates. You won’t know what you’re gonna get! If you really want to know what it is, you ask the staffs there. The baked goods varies from savory to sweet fillings. You can get curry ground pork fillings in a round bun & deep fried. Croissants filled with cream cheese, with or without fruit & plain. Sponge cakes, dinner rolls plain or filled with pork sung & you can get one with an omelet wrapped around the outside. They have squared shaped bread, a display of sliced cakes. You can also order Celebration cakes besides from the pastries. They also make moon cakes when that time. comes around. This place is Cash Only so don’t forget to stop by the ATM. Enjoy!

I actually really like Domies. Is it the best bakery? No, but it does offer a wide variety of fresh, tasty pastries for a good price. Their bolo bao is my favorite I’ve had(besides the ones from Family Pastry in Chinatown). They are always soft and fresh. The tops are softer and don’t have that pineapple ‘look’ that they’re named after. but I actually prefer them this way. They have a huge rack at the front where you can pick out the ones you want yourself. The dan tat are good too, they serve them up front in a case that keeps them warm. Flaky and the egg is smooth without being clumpy like you sometimes unfortunately find at other places. I’ve also had a few other various treats from here, one of my favorite was a green tea/cream filled bun. Don’t know the name. There are a few other treats I’d like to try out next time I’m in California, if I can manage to break away from my usual favorites. The ladies up front have never been rude to me. Terse, yes, but I’m not here to make friends. They usually have a smile on their face which is good enough for me. They stay open surprisingly late, too. I don’t like going to bakeries past 2pm or so but it’s good if you need to drop in for an afternoon snack. Parking lot can be a pain depending on the time of the day.

I used to like this place sooo much. But after the last twice experienced here I’ll have to go else where! I was snapped at for not having right name to pick up a cake. I gave a name that I assume it was under, loud sigh and she asked what type of cake?, mango and strawberry. Grabs a paper and said Mandy? Ah yes that’s me, so sorry guess my mom put it under me. Aiya, ask she hits the paper, next time you get right name, u make so hard if you don’t ok? Ok? As she hits her paper a few more times! Sorry lady it was two sentence we exchanged in Chinese and your getting frustrated with me? Had this cake not been for my brother birthday I would of left and told her to stick it. Second experience, paid a tab of 5.10 and gave her 10 pennies, oh next time you don’t bring me this?! It’s money, what’s the difference?! This lady has to be the owner, with that type of service I am surprise they are in business! Sorry folks I speak the language, I was patience but I would be out of my mind to spend my money here with the treatment I’ve gotten lately from this witch!

On our last few visits to Tin Tin Restaurant, we’ve been stopping by this bakery too. It’s always busy which in my mind is a good thing because you know the breads are fresh if they’re still on the racks. Even if they’re on the shelves, the time that they were pulled out of the oven is written on the shelf tags. The quality’s pretty good and the prices are comparable to other bakeries of this sort. Love their taro and mochi-custard breads. I like that they always have some ready-to-go tea drinks in the display case. There’s this one, Prunella Vulgaris, that I’ve been picking up. Despite the off-putting name, it’s actually not bad tasting; just something that’ll have to grow on you. It’s supposedly a «healing» tea. You would think that it would help with constipation just by the Prunella name, but it does the opposite. Only $ 1.50! There’s a few negatives though. The parking lot is hellish. I wouldn’t come here just for the breads. Only if we’re already there for a meal at my husband’s favorite Chinese restaurant. Sometimes, you’ve got to be aggressive just to make your way to the cashier. I don’t speak the language and every gosh darn time, I’ve had someone behind me rudely call out to the workers and get their attention first. I really wouldn’t mind shopping here more often, but as good as the breads are, it’s a hassle to get them. 4 stars for the bread items. 3 for the customer service.

I buy bakery goods from this bakery every once in a while and have never had any problems with customer service. Yes it is true as previous Unilocalers had mentioned that most of the employees do not really speak English. But honestly, all I am doing is picking the bakery items I want and bringing them to the cash register. Not really a whole lot of talking is involved in that. And the employees have enough broken English to be able to help me anyway if I need help. Anyways, this bakery location is located in the same plaza as an Asian Supermarket(name escapes me for the moment) and Tin Tin Restaurant. I love that each and every time I have gone to this bakery that I can just smell that sweet baked breaded item in the air(always a good sign for the nose and the tummy). The bakery is pretty standard in terms of offering and set up. And like most Chinese bakeries, this place is also CASHONLY. I usually get their sponge cakes, coconut tarts(yeh– tots for you Chinese peeps out there) and their barbecue pork buns for my husband. The buns and cakes are always moist and lightly flavored(just the way I like them). My husband and I like the light sweet glaze on the bun portion of the barbecue pork buns. I am rather particular about my coconut tarts. I don’t like when the coconut tarts taste either too artificial or old/stale. The coconut tarts here are pretty good and are still good even a few days after purchasing(I can only eat so many bakery goods a day and a girl’s gotta watch her figure, especially when working in the healthcare field now). Parking can be a challenge, as it does get pretty crowded in the plaza on weekends. I usually park off to the side of the Tin Tin Restaurant and walk over.
