Worst and cheap customer service — cashier was mean and cheap service here, brought $ 30 of the packed meat to make a switch at home, and trying to take couple pieces of the sliced chili and a lady ran up and said you can’t take that it is only for sandwiches. Wow. How cheap can that be? The cost of sliced piece of chili probably cause $ 0.02 and she insists that I can’t take that because all the packed meant ingredients are not sandwich. Not sure what they are thinking — I got all those to make sandwiches … And didn’t know what else one can make that with. Just won’t come back again. There are so many other sandwich places that one doesn’t have to deal with mean cashiers and cheap business like this.

Personally, I only go here for the bread. They have the best baguettes for the price I have ever tasted. They have a perfect crunch on the outside with a softer bake on the inside. Many of the baguettes I have had are just plain hard and make me feel like I need a dentist afterwards. So, when I need baguettes this is where I go.

I’m sorry for cheating on you, Lee’s. I’ll never do it again. I hope you’ll take me back. Bad flavor, skimpy on the fillings. Literally one slice of cheese on the whole 12″(half a slice on each half a sandwich). Bread is ok but one half was totally burnt. Euro style sandwiches come only with pickle, not peppers or sliced red onions.(On the plus side they wrap the pickle so the pickle juice doesn’t soggify the bread, but I could live without toxic plastic wrap touching my food, not to mention the addition of unrecycleable plastic to the landfill.) Coffee has a weird, unpleasant, artificial aftertaste. Also, no restrooms and it can get crowded and busy.

This is the lightest, crunchiest baguette BBQ Pork Sandwich I’ve tasted this side of the LA River. You can’t go wrong with Mr. Baguette signature 12 in sandwiches. Good to the last bite and easy on the wallet.

Decently priced banh mi with super crunchy yet fluffy baguette to boot — cannot say no to that! We ordered a breakfast baguette and a special baguette and they were both delicious. They don’t skimp out on the meat of the sandwich and their pâté was super yummy. We also ordered café sua da(Vietnamese ice milk coffee) which was alright. Would definitely come back for yummy sandwiches!

I come here all the time for the Banh Mi dac biet(special) and the café sua da(Vietnamese iced milk coffee). I really enjoy snacking on the the Banh mi here. The baguette is consistently nice and crunchy on the outside and soft on the inside. The Banh mi dac biet consists of a combination of meats, pickled veggies, paté, and fresh herbs. I’ve never had a bad sandwich from this place. The coffee is another reason I come here. For $ 2.99, it’ll give you the kick in the ass that you need to wake up. It’s very strong and bitter but pretty good. It goes well with the banh mi. This place has its own private parking lot, but can get packed especially in the mornings. Overall, it’s my favorite banh mi spot in the San Gabriel Valley!

Sooooo I’m not sure if this is the particular location that my family buys their Banh Mi sandwiches/baguettes or the other locations but I must say that Mr. Baguette is pretty darn good! Lots of flavor in one bite after another. This is based on my experiences eating my Banh Mi since I myself have not been to Mr. Baguette inside. But I will say that their baguette’s bread is wayyyyyyyy better than Lee’s Sandwiches and Banh Mi Che Cali(Bakery). What makes it better than the others is that Mr. Baguette’s bread texture itself is hard on the outside/not super flaky(like the super cheap dough that Cali Bakery uses) but super soft in the inside. It’s almost similar to bread that you would get at an Italian Deli/Bakery. It’s really good quality. Plus, their bread remains the same texture the next day whereas the other bakeries’ bread gets dried up and hard(and crumbles into pieces). The break flavor profile from Mr. Baguette is great! Too bad it’s kinda far away from where I am… if I lived closer, I would make multiple trips here for cheap, inexpensive good quality Banh Mi sandwiches, especially for lunch or a quick bite to eat and go. Definitely will make a visit sometime soon here!

Fresh-baked baguette, delicious banh mi meats and sauce and veggies — bright and cheery décor. I drive 8 miles to come here, well worth it. Ok pastries, but spot-on espresso sweetened with condensed milk.

Horrible service. The lady at the cash register was looking at receipts and when I walked up to the cash register I literally stood there 3 – 4 minutes before she acknowledged me. Then after I order she doesn’t give me a receipt. I notice there’s multiple signs posted about free meals if they don’t give a receipt. I walk back to the front and ask for a recept and ask about the sign. She makes some bs up about how it’s only if I realized I didn’t get the receipt when I am picking up the bread. And she even dramatically sighed and rolled her eyes when I told her the sign shows ATTHEREGISTER. They need to take the signs down if they don’t honor them. And fire the lady in the front she has a bad attitude, totally killed my appetite and made my sandwich taste bland.

I visited this location today for takeout and I have to say I’m rather unimpressed. I ordered the veggie turkey banh mi and, when it arrived, it was clearly not turkey — it was ham. My party and I attempted to kindly explain this to the young lady behind the counter, who then insisted the protein«looked different,» but was indeed turkey and not ham. Rather than argue, we took her word for it and left, only to discover later that we were right after all. All in all, good food, but customer service could have been better in this case… at least in checking the accuracy of the order instead of blithely insisting it was correct. I doubt Mr. Baguette himself would approve of this kind of thing. P. S. We just found a strand of hair in the sandwich too.

Delicious vietnamese banh mi! One Load is under $ 5. Vietnamese coffee is good too. Good spot for a quick meet up with fast food. Liver Pâté is good, graphics it for to go then using them for breakfast at home. Must place I will visit when I down El monte, san grabriel area.

Mr Thomas T, In response to your last post(8 mos ago), my favorite all time sandwich is the #4? Just with chicken meat with julienned carrots on a sesame baguette. I am not a cilantro fan so l always forget to ask them to hold that. But l just pick it out at home; no biggie.

If you want something quick, easy and fast then this is a place to visit. You can say that it’s like a fast food restaurant with no drive thru. But that’s okay, you will be in and out in just few minutes anyway. I only have order the number 1 special. I love to drop by here and get Bunh Mi for all my co-workers. I love this place but the only problem is that their food need to be more CONSISTENT. Out of 9 order of number 1 Bunh Mi Special, only 3 of them have decent amount of meat and they also forgot to put jalapeños on all of the them. Boo!

The baguette is really good when it’s fresh because of the bread. Once it’s been sitting for a while the bread does not taste as good. I really like their chicken option. Personally I do not think they give enough veggies, very stingy with the cilantro and carrots. Also they dont give any cucumber like other places. Prices are pretty cheap though. Sometimes there are long lines and sometimes none but they are pretty fast. I found a fly in my water. Gross but it didnt make the baguette taste any less good.

My favorite bun-mi place! I either go here or to the one on Atlantic. Can’t beat their fresh baguette or their pâté! Always consistent and always delicious. Honestly, not a fan of Lee’s so I always get Mr. Baguette!

This is solely about the bread. No sandwiches, no croissants, no drinks. Breakfast/Lunch 101 is get a BAGUETTE($ 1.25) warm and chewy(they were still cooling on the rack) Go to Claro’s italian market nearby and get the prosciutto $ 27/lb. Make a chopped tomato salsa, drizzle olive oil and Boom — instapicnic. The bread is excellent, i can’t find myself buying any other baguettes(Brea bakery, even Sams club fresh baked aren’t as light) If you like dense baguettes, this is not for you.

Came on a Sunday afternoon. Ordered their special and Saigon style bacon sandwich. Wanted to get boba milk tea but they were out… Wtf?! So went and got boba else where and ate the sandwiches at home. They were both pretty good. The bread was crispy and not too hard, didn’t scrape the roof of my mouth. I don’t know if I would return… I was annoyed about them not having boba, it was a weekend, shouldn’t they stock up? It was even that busy.

I am a fan of these sandwiches. With a Lees sandwiches just across the street I would pick this place 10Xs over. I normally just get the regular because that’s what my Grandma always got me. The bread is nice and crispy and flaky on the outside and soft on the inside. They don’t skimp on the meat portions nor do they skimp on the sauces or the veggies that complement the sandwich overall. I like how they have packaged veggies and jalapeños so you can put it in your sandwich when you please so it doesn’t make your sandwich soggy if you don’t eat it right away. Did I mention their sandwiches are huge? I always have a hard time finishing it. Service is lacking but that doesn’t deter me from getting one of these bad boys when I’m visiting my grandparents. Parking is in their tiny parking lot and can be quite challenging on weekends and durning peak hours.
