The only reason why I decided to stay here was because the hotel that I normally went to had no more available rooms. This motel is filthy and as soon as I walked into my room the place had a weird sour smoke scent that made me nauseous. The showers smelled like urine and the tiles in the shower were cracked and stained yellow. In addition, the two beds were infested with ants, along with a trail of ants crawling along the wall and air conditioner. The air conditioner also had a weird scent like it hasn’t been cleaned for a long time. Would I recommend this place? NO

If you’re looking for a very affordable place to stay for a night or two, this place should meet your needs, but don’t expect any more than what you pay for. I usually come to LA once a year to visit family, and of course my family doesn’t want to spend too much on a hotel because we barely spend any time there. Last year, we started coming here because of their low prices($ 55 for 2 full size beds). It was also recommended by a relative who lives in the area. VIP Inn(Motel)‘s business card lists«Brand New» satellite TV — good; private phone — good I think, haven’t used it though; refrigerator — tiny!; radio — where is this located?; air condition — very nice, considering the hot weather; private bath with tub & shower — okay, the door has no lock, the toilet paper roll dispenser was clearly once installed, but is now missing, and there are numerous holes in the walls where things used to be. … «all at a reasonable price» — yes, this is true, i just wish the place were a little cleaner. I just got out of college, and I’ve seen my share of dirty apartments, but I would hope that a place with daily housekeeping would have a cleaner bathroom than what I usually see. Out of sheer luck,(or is it?), I got the exact same room that I got when I stopped by last summer. The place looks exactly the same, and somehow the problems are still exactly the same. I’m staying with family, and my brother just HAS to blow dry his hair, ridiculous. So last time we had a wedding to attend and of course using a blow-dryer isn’t out of the ordinary. Both bathroom outlets didn’t work, and we relocated the blow-drying to the desk area, which made the room very loud for everyone else.(another noise issue: I can hear EVERYTHING through the walls.) It STILL hasn’t been fixed, even though we told the office the first day we were here last time, and they told us they’d have it fixed by the next day. We’ve also found ants crawling around the dresser and the walls this time, which makes me cautious about leaving my belongings in here. There is a huge spider web in the corner of the shower with little dead bug corpses floating in mid-air – not the prettiest site when showering after a long day out. My final thought… they need to fix their parking lot entrance. It’s extremely steep from the street, and many cars have scraped up their bottoms while entering or leaving(as visible from the many markings on the surface of the pavement). I’m honestly not TOO bothered by anything else, there’s a decent bed to spend the night in, but don’t expect anything more than that.
