Alright, after being in Rosemont for a year, I’m adjusting my rating from 1 star to 3 stars. Deli Time is located on the first floor of the business building I work in. It is fine for low expectation lunches when you just can’t get out or didn’t bring your lunch from home. The key is knowing what to get. They did some pizza and flatbread rotations that were pretty decent a few months ago, but they have discontinued them — these might have earned them another half star. Those were probably the best things they made. But now, I generally get one of a couple things there if need be. Their barley soups are fairly good. I’ve had beef, mushroom, and chicken and all 3 are decent. I am not a fan of their cream soups though — more emulsifier than actual soup/food ingredients. Their made-to-order omelettes are also very good. And I agree with a previous poster — the staff is always very friendly.

I gave it four star over three because I like getting breakfast from here as it is super convenient. Although the eggs on the sandwich is some sort of egg patty(on bagel $ 3.16). I then usually default to chili for lunch — jumbo chili is $ 3.96. The flatbreads are decent and salads are pretty good. The other reason this gets four stars is that the folks that work down there are great!

For Columbia Centre I All I want in the morning is a hot cup of coffee, and after lunch too. I would rather be late to work and go out of my way to get coffee from Starbucks(or even Dunkin if I have no choice) than get coffee from here. My first day, I thought I’d never get coffee from anywhere else. It was great! I don’t know what happened towards the end of April, but their coffee is the coldest coffee I’ve ever had. I can’t even make it up the elevator before the coffee loses all heat. The people that work there are very nice, so they’re the reasons this place gets 2 stars. 1 star is for the food. It’s okay. There could be healthier options, I’d be willing to pay for that too. The tea options could be better too. How about some mint tea? That’s pretty standard I’d say. My office doesn’t have a microwave, otherwise, I’d probably never get anything from here(unless the coffee improved). Hot coffee, pleaseeee!

This was my original review for the Deli Time across the street(oops!). Here is the repost and I’ll update it soon: This D-T is rather convenient, especially if I’ve forgotten my Breakfast or Lunch at home. I enjoy the reasonable prices for the breakfast sandwiches; however the lunch prices seem a bit high for what you get. For example: I ordered the Big BLT one day, and it was about $ 8 with chips and no drink(I’m rounding up slightly), and although the bacon had good flavor, the bread was a little disappointing. I was excited for a toasty BLT on sourdough, however when I unwrapped the sandwich at my desk, the bread was barely toasted and left it ‘gummy’ on the palette. Additionally, when I tried the egg sandwich, the English muffin was very grainy and needed a little toasting love. I’ve heard their croissants were good so I plan to give that a go when the opportunity strikes, but it seems like I’m having bad luck with the bread. Ideally, I want a sandwich I can’t make myself at home, and these aren’t quite doing it for me yet. I’m trying different things to find my go-to order when I need a good lunch/breakfast. Note: I’ve also heard the club Panini was good too. I haven’t given up hope on Deli Time, and hopefully I’ll have any update that will add some stars to the rating. But for now, 3 stars is my rating.
