Food was delicious! Our waiter Paul was the funny, confident, and experienced thats forsure. Again the food was divine! That Ice Cream desert cake was extremely good. All the food was mouthwatering. The only downsides include how crowded it was but that’s what happens in one of the best restaurants in Chicago. The last downside, is that we made reservations and we had to wait to be seated an additional 10−15min…

My oh my! This place was the best last minute decision we made on our trip! We were sold when our«butcher’s smock» wearing waiter came to the table and displayed the different cuts and seafood. We thought the prices were a bit steep for the size of meat but damn, when I took a bite of the 22oz Chicago cut after it had been in an 1800 degF broiler I understood why and had no complaints. Highly recommend this spot. Oh yeah, the dessert portions are enough to for 4 people. Cheers!

Gibson’s was great. I had the filet, a Mojito, and crab cakes. It was all delicious! About the steak. I am used to aged steak cooked with seasoning. This steak tasted like 100% MEAT! It was great. Though my preference is seasoned steak, I can fully understand why someone would come here for delicious, juicy meat that tastes like meat! I appreciated that. I loved the sauce they served with the steak, as it complimented it very nicely, but you don’t need it. The mojito’s were nice, but didn’t have enough flavor for me. Our server was amazing as well. Very attentive, had a great sense of humor, and polite the entire time. The décor is very elegant and well done. This place is great for a nice business casual to dress up night out, with free valet, so you can wear the heels! Overall, great experience and great staff!

The food is always delicious and service on point. The staff is gracious. I would recommend making a reservation as they are very busy on the weekends. I wouldn’t recommend their Pinot Grigio wine it’s very bitter. Valet parking for convenience.

Had Gibson Steakhouse for dinner with coworkers tonight, it is one of the best steakhouse in town. I’m from LA so my steakhouse expectation is pretty high. I would give 4⁄5 on their steaks and 5⁄5 on their service. I ordered a Chicago cut steak(medium) and shared with my coworker along with many side dishes we ordered. That steak was huge! I mean huge! I normally can finish the whole steak myself but boy, it was a mouthful! Glad I shared with my coworker. Aside we ordered sautéd spinach with mushroom, green beans with mushroom, double baked potato that came out to be triple baked, and hash brown. That’s a lot of food! We ended up devouring every dishes. The best part was, the waiter gave us a free Banana cream cake that was twice the size of my head. It was ginormous! We shared with 8 of us but there was still a lot left. That was sweet of the waiter putting the cake on the house. Overall I had a great experience at Gibson Steakhouse. Finally get to taste the best steakhouse in town! Didn’t disappoint :)

I like this location because it is private, but downtown is my kind of location full of vibes and energy.

Came to Chicago for my hubby’s birthday and came here just for dessert because we saw a segment on guilty pleasures on TV. Little did we know it was a great quality steakhouse. If you want quality and excellent service come here. Yes it’s pricey but you definitely get what you pay for and the staff is on point. They start you off with 3 different types of bread with butter. We shared a very generous portion of garlic mashed potatoes. I had the Australian lobster tail and it was incredible. Just melts in your mouth. My husband had the peppercorn filet mignon and it was perfectly cooked medium plus. The staff and the other guests that dined there were super friendly and everyone seemed to enjoy themselves there. I would definitely go back.

I rarely feel like I give 5 star reviews but everything about this place was excellent. As a single women eating out service is usually good, but this was spectacular. At least three waiters came by within like 1 minute to see what I needed. Granted it was a Monday night and before the rush they were probably hoping to get my table, with that said they were all great and be server I ended up with was fantastic. Explained the cuts of meat and gave great suggestions. I wasn’t hungry enough for one of the huge cuts of meat, nor did I want to spend that much money, so I went with the filet medallions with a Parmesan crust and broccoli. It was perfectly cooked and just the right amount of food! I really wanted to get dessert but I knew I wouldn’t eat it all nor did I need the calories! I would definitely stop back here again!

Great filet, great wine and great atmosphere(well at least in the private room)… It is clear why this place was packed by the time we left. The servers treat you very well. The desert was fantastic.

What can I add? Great steaks and atmosphere! We were very late for our reservation, but there was no judgement and we were seated within 15 min, on a Sat. night. We did call but were still later than we anticipated. Free desert for our anniversary and the manager came to introduce himself, which was a nice touch. All staff member’s were extremely friendly. Pricey but this is what some special occasions are all about. Great night!

You know, that rare occasion when, sometimes the sequel is just as good, if not better than the original? Well, Gibson’s in Rosemont is, much to my surprise, was just as good as downtown! I frequent the downtown location a few times a year, mostly when someone else is paying. I have been to Rosemont a few times, and even on my own dime, think is is awesome. Steaks are perfectly selected and cooked. Service is tip top. Drinks are generous. If Gibsons downtown is the best steakhouse in the city, which it is, Rosemont may just be her nearly-as-hot little sister.

I enjoyed getting take out from here two nights in a row. I was staying at the Hyatt Regency for a conference and would call in take out and walk over to pick it up. The first night I called later and it was super easy to give my order. The second night I called a little earlier and had to be put on hold several times to give my order. The walk on the street from the hotel to the restaurant is easy and enjoyable. First night I tried the steak sandwich with fries and a crème brûlée. It was basically a thin cut ribeye on garlic toasted bread. I ate the delicious piece of meat without the bread. The crème brûlée was good but I was to full to eat the fries or much of the dessert. I put the dessert in the fridge and it was not good the next day. Second night I tried the filet sliders and chocolate mousse pie. The sliders were filet mignon on three small buns toasted with a garlic butter.(Basically a repeat of the night before with different meat on a different sized bread.) I prefered the steak sandwich though the sliders were good. Again to full to eat the fries which were disgusting the next day. The pie was amazingly delicious and huge!!! It was close to $ 15 but I ate some the first night, some for breakfast the next day, some for lunch the next day and some at dinner time the next day and still threw away almost ½ of it or more!!! Really yummy — highly recommend.

Better than average steaks but not wonderful. This place is highly hyped yet does not pass muster. A la carte so meals tend to be expensive. Service is excellent with friendly, helpful staff. Very crowded as Rosement has many hotels and a huge convention center within walking distance. My coworkers were very impressed and would probably give 5 stars I will hopefully not be back unless coerced for political reasons.

Came here for a couple drinks and apps because I feel like this is one of the only nice places around the area. The service is exceptional and the drinks were pretty good. Planned on grabbing dinner here but earliest they could seat us was an hour and a half away so we decided to go somewhere else. Make sure you make reservations, even for a Wednesday night. Will come back, definitely recommend this place!

Great service and wonderful waiter. Although it’s expensive, the food comes in HUGE portions. Everything tasted amazing. Our table was packed full. And if you can’t finish, leftovers is like a meal on it’s own!

I went to Gibson’s in Chicago almost 10 years ago and loved it… when I saw there was a location in Rosemont, I was very happy… I had the Bone-in Sirloin and Double Baked Potato and the meal was fantastic. The meat tasted very good and I enjoyed having all the savory starchiness from the potato. The service was very good and the atmosphere was lively. I definitely recommend this spot!

Gibsons is a Chicago staple. If you’re in need of a night out and you’re not afraid of a hefty bill, I’d definitely suggest you head over to Gibson’s. The food is cooked to perfection and the drinks are stiff. The menu features a nice mixture of steak to seafood to classic American. Their specialty is steak, so I haven’t strayed away from it on any of my visits, but my girlfriend has tried a few seafood items and has loved them all. The service could have been better, especially for a $ 200+ bill for two. Gibson’s should be on your shortlist if you’re in Chicago and have some money to spend.

Gibson’s is well established and offers a nice selection of premium beef. Not in the mood for steak, there’s quite a few options for you too. When first glancing at the menu, I think it goes without saying that it is pricier than most places. But, it goes without saying that one would expect the service to compliment the price tag. On my last visit, I experienced poor service in the bar but luckily for me, we opted to move to a more accommodating location in the restaurant. Our second server was a class act. He was great. Having dined at this location several times, I can say service is typically very good. Not sure who hired or trained our initial server, but her personality and demeanor was better suited for a pub. The meal was solid as usual. Last night we enjoyed the Crabmeat Avocado(my favorite appetizer here), Filet, Lamp Chops, Spicy Peppers, Hash Browns and Macadamia Nut Turtle Pie. Things I appreciate most: — the décor, lighting and music — the variety of cuts; it’s a beef eater’s paradise — the portion sizes; everything is oversized. … You can request half orders of several menu items. Ask the server. — they are open late; the kitchen open until midnight on weeknight. — the piano player in the bar area; nostalgic & entertaining — non steak food items– banana cream pie, crabmeat avocado and French onion soup — free validated parking at this location — if you came in on a budget, there are several local favorites that are very reasonably price. Same quality at affordable prices. The undesirables: — service in the bar; service is slow and of lower quality. When paying Gibson’s prices, one should be able to expect pleasant, professional and prompt service. Servers should not cry foul when you move to a section where the servers appear to be more engaged. — their sides are less than desirable absent the potatoes.(1) creamed spinach; like it elsewhere. Gib’s style is soupy.(2) their green beans — very basic(3) asparagus with hollandaise– nothing special — their Midori sours. Eek! Worst ever. Too much sour.
