Rosa J. typically does her Christmas shopping online, or at some random «knickknack» stores in the city. Wait, it’s looking a lot like Christmas! Of course, I had less than ten (10) days left to complete all the shopping I had to do.
I work at a couple of stores down from L’Occitane. Mama J. is a fan of this place, so I have seen her getting some hand lotion and shea butter from here.
I did a brief research online to see what deals they’ve got. However, this particular location is an outlet, so they carry discontinued scents and sets that I didn’t see while I was browsing through their official website.
For $ 72 and some change, I was able to get
— one (1) 3-​piece lavender voyage kit ($ 25)
— one (1) 3-​piece bonne mere travel set ($ 20), a cosmetic bag included
— five (5) sets of Shea solidarity soap ($ 30, or $ 6/​set); there were (2) pieces of soap per set – I used for my associates’ stocking stuffers.
— Jasmine & bergamote shower gel and body lotion set (GRATIS, a $ 15 value); this was free with $ 65 purchase when presenting the Fashion Outlets of Chicago Green Savings card.
I also received a 10% mall-​employee discount since we see each other’s friendly face often. A little free samples were thrown into the bag.
It’s a store for scent-​lovers. I could have spent hours here smelling every single bottle of lotion, perfume, and soap. Nevertheless, I needed to get back to work.
