I was stopped by a salesperson at the Woodfield shopping mall kiosk, not Rosemont Fashion Outlets. However, I was so appalled I had to find a way to leave a review. The salespeople are TOOAGGRESSIVE. You are left with the need to walk away mid-sentence and looking like a jerk, because there is no polite way to decline or say no thank you. They bait you by handing out free samples. I learned my lesson, never even look at these people, never make eye contact, not even a friendly nod. The man hooked and reeled me in and before I could make up some excuse that I had to leave, he scooped a spoonful of scrub in my hand. Although annoyed, I let him wash it off. It was mid-winter. I am a mom of 2 young ones and I wash my hands so often they are dry, cracked, and bleeding. The salt scrub irritated my hands, and he continued to try and sell it, «Look how smooth and soft your hands are.» OMG, they are red and burning!!! As he rinsed the salt scrub into a white clean bowl, he joked, «Look how dirty your hands are! Did you wash your hands today? Just kidding.» The final straw, I have acne. He told me my current skincare is worthless. He tried to convince me these products will«suck out the dirt like a vacuum, and in two weeks, I will be pimple-free.» I have HORMONAL acne. You cannot even make claims like that!!! He insulted me, called me dirty, insulted my facial routine and implied the acne is a result of it. I walked away mid-sentence as he called out to me, making ME feel like the jerk. I don’t even know if the products are any good. But I will never even try this brand. And I will run away from them if I ever see them in a mall.

I agree with all these people. The people from Dead Sea Cosmetics come from Israel and are Palestinians .They come to America and have Middle Eastern Mentality of forcing you to buy stuff which was the same Experience in Jerusalem. It was like that in other cities in Israel and in Egypt. No wonder tourist do not like to go to the Middle East the way business is forcefully handled just to buy any product. Now they use this Mall to sell Dead Sea Cosmetics with these sad people as sales. I hope they get a taste of their own medicine to being swindled and scammed. See if they will be upset and feeling like a victim.

I cannot believe the high pressure sales tactics this place uses. I was caught by one of these people in the first floor of the mall and was stupid enough to actually listen to what they had to say. Even if I liked the product I would never buy it because of how they pressure their customers. It reminds me of car salesman in the 1980’s. When I saw the second kiosk at the other end of the mall, I was approached again but this time kept walking. The next time I am in the mall I know to ignore these people. Shame on this company for having their employees sell like this and shame on the mall for allowing this to happen.

** BEWARE of the overly-aggressive sales people from the Deep Sea Cosmetics kiosks at the Fashion Outlets of Chicago. Yes, there is more than one kiosk here. If you have been to other malls, you know what I am talking about. They try to sell you their dead sea products. You walk by & they approach you with a free sample & tube of hand lotion they are trying to hawk. Even if you do not make eye contact, they practically run up to you, which happened again this time. The mall loses a star for having them. I had an unfortunate encounter with them 11/24/2013. Whenever I see that kiosk, I practically walk along the wall, the farthest as I can get past. I managed to avoid the salesman on the 2nd floor by tossing out«No, thank you» as I quickened my pace. I didn’t fare so well on the 1st floor. The salesman pretty much ran up to me. If you have been approached by them before, you know they all learned from the same training manual. They attempt idle chit-chat with you & try to entice you with a free sample. Most people, myself included, when cornered don’t want to be to rude & stand there & let them do their schpiel. Unfortunately, their casual conversation usually runs along the lines of inappropriate questions to determine which products they can up-sell to you. You can tell they have a basic sales outline which starts off with complimenting you while squeezing a huge dollop of their lotion on your hand. Then they start asking questions about what you do for a living(none of their business). This particular salesman started guessing(badly) about me. Bad move. It’s not good to stereotype people, esp women. Then he started in on my hands(they have an $$$ nail kit). I politely, but firmly said«I’m not interested, but thank you.» His demeanor changed & he acted like I had wasted HIS precious time. He suddenly turned his back to me & rudely walked away. The smell from the lotion he slopped on my hand was overwhelming as I drove home. I scrubbed my hands three times before the overly-scented smell started to dissipate. It took a few more to completely wear off. It takes one bad company & their sales tactics to ruin an otherwise pleasant shopping experience at this mall.

BUYERBEWARE. They are scam artists. They don’t tell you about the return policy until after you purchase. No returns and exchange only within 14 days. They then tell you that you can have a return if you contact customer service but when you go on the deep sea cosmetics website, it says all returns must be made at the point of purchase. I tried contacting the«customer service» number that was an 847 number and was someone’s cell number that wouldn’t pick up after they conveniently hung up on my after asking what my concern was. NEVERAGAIN. My partner ended up making a scene and loudly told anyone that approached the kiosk to not give them their business as their return policy is bloody shite. NEVERAGAIN. Look them up online and you will see all of the complaints that covers a spectrum of toxic products to overcharging.
