This is your place for tacos. You can’t beat the homemade tortillas made fresh. The variety offered is really nice too. We had everything from the standard sausage and egg, to the chorizo and carne guisada. Very impressed with the service as well. They were very friendly and answered all of our questions about some of the different ingredients. We stopped in during a busy Sunday morning while passing through town, but had no trouble getting a table and being served. The place is a dive, but seemed clean and neat. I will be back again when in Rosenburg.

2 breakfast tacos & a coffee $ 9, cmon now! However; the food was good and tortillas were fresh. That being said Brothers Tacos, Laredo Tacos & Alamo are all in the city/Houston and way cheaper than here and just as good or better. You’d figure prices go down outside the big city. Grabbed a menu and took a look at their lunch options as well… nah. Probably won’t be going back any time soon.

I have been going here for 12+ years. I’ve seen the eggs change several times over the years. They have never returned to their amazing status that Bob Sr. had created. Today’s wait was as usual– very long. I found this to be okay since this place has a special place in my heart. The disappointment came when the food came… Potato egg and cheese tacos are hard to mess up. The eggs are absolutely disgusting. They are so soggy that they«leak». You can tell they were made hours ago and kept in a pool of water and warmer. The kids even said«mom, these eggs are gross!» And theirs were covered in ketchup. Back in the day, the tacos were covered in shredded cheese that was melted by the time it got to your table. This cheese is not melted at all, maybe even cold. It’s a bad combo over warm at best eggs. The taco sauce has gone down hill as well. Nothing exciting there. The regular salsa is good though. The staff is the best but the real blow came at the end. Two kids meals at $ 8 and some change each. Two adult meals and four drinks came out to $ 55!!! FORBREAKFASTAT A TACOSHACK!!! I eat out at nice places often and don’t mind paying that price for quality. This is not. I could’ve gotten a better deal at Ruggles Green! Sad to say, my days at this joint are over. Not worth the high prices or drive.

First time at Bob’s this afternoon and was very disappointed. My boyfriend told me about their amazing breakfast tacos he once got to go, so we decided to dine in and try more of their menu. When we showed up, there were still a few empty tables. After we order, we become anxious for our food, as it has been a while and new customers have already come in and been served their dishes. An hour later, at 2pm(time they close), we get our food. Waitress didn’t say anything to us or even offer an apology until 2pm, when I asked nicely about our food. We were given the excuse that there were only 2 cooks in the kitchen.(Clearly that was enough for customers seated after us to get served). 2nd complaint: red hairs in my boyfriends rice and beans. Gross. We had every intention of ordering tacos to go before leaving, but seeing as how the kitchen was likely already closed as well as the long wait, we decided not to bother. Very unfortunate to have this be our first dine in experience. Sadly we won’t be returning. Good food, very terrible service.

This is a 4 and not lower, because of the TAMALES! They’re definitely the best thing there! If you go there for a normal meal, don’t expect the same deliciousness that you get on a take out order of their famous tamales. It is pretty standard, hole in the wall, tex-mex food. We live in the area and don’t come here for anything other than tamales.

Ever since they were on DDD, it’s not that good. You pay for chips and salsa. The breakfast tacos(which was featured on the show) are not fresh, meaning the eggs are pre-made, sitting in warm pans and then just scooped into your tortilla and it shows up in the taste. No Bueno!

I came here for the guisada for my husband. We had dinner and said the food had no taste pretty bland. Said the meat was tough and had no gravy. The tamales had no taste. I told him how much it cost he was not happy. So needless to say we want be going back. The customer service was pretty good though.

It was ok. We were prepared to wait for fresh food, but not for drinks or service. Food was average tex mex. I had the chicken fajita nachos and hubby got a tamale and taco plate. I had very little cheese on my nachos. Salsa was bland as well. I looked forward to another DDD place, but this wasn’t up to par. Maybe in 6 months we will try again.

The tacos are great! You have to make a stop here and order some to believe how great they are. They are home made with quality ingredients. It’s well known in Rosenberg.

Overall going to Bob’s was okay. The service is very slow. Even just waiting to get a drink refilled took too long. I sat with an empty glass for quite awhile waiting for the waiter or anyone to come by & refill it. We knew going in that the food would take awhile so we were prepared for that. But waiting so long for drink refills is a bit ridiculous. The food was okay. Nothing out of the ordinary. We might go back to give them a second chance but it’ll probably be awhile.

Horrible tacos and expensive. I ordered 4 potato egg tacos and they were awful, the potato left a bitter taste and they were super dry. I tried to add fresh tomato and salsa to help eat and nothing helped the taste. I couldnt believe my bill total was $ 9.00 for 4POTATOEGGTACOS!!! Thats insane and they charged me $.20/each for some salsa. I could only eat 2 tacos before I gave up and wasted the other 2. What a waste of almost $ 10.

High expectations and low delivery. Saw this place on DDD and decided to checkout out. The aesthetic is nice and charming and the signs posted that everything is made fresh was a good sign. The food arrived fairly quickly for a place claiming to make fresh food. I ordered a variety of items such as the carne guisada barbacoa taco and a plate which had a tamale. The items featured on DDD were ok but not blown away. The rice seemed it had been sitting for a while and the chicken fajitas I had ordered were dry and did not taste fresh at all. Refried beans tasted bland and reminded me of cafeteria lunch beans from grade school. Adding to the disappointment was the«spicy» green sauce that the waitress kept hinting at me. The side of lettuce given had more of a kick than the sauce. All in all it does have some decent food items but nothing I would say is worth a 45 mins drive to Rosenberg from Houston.

We saw Bob’s on DDD several years ago, but never had the chance to go there. When we did, we were unbelievably impressed with the food. The salsa was great with fire roasted tomatoes, chilies, and onions. Best I ever had. Took some to go. We naturally tried the Carne Guisada tacos and the tamales that were featured on the show. Both were out of this world. Tamales were all great filling and very little masa. Took a dozen of these to go as well. We have been back twice in recent weeks and have invited fiends on repeat visits. We will go at least once/month even though it is an hour drive for us for us each way from the other side of Houston. Want to try everything on the menu, including breakfast. We met Bob and he is a great host — making sure everything was great. Service was great. This place is a winner… and did anybody mention the shaved ice cups around back with a gazillion flavors? Dreamsickle with cream is to die for.

On our way through Rosenberg so we decided to stop for breakfast. The red and green bottled salsa is good, the refried beans were ok, the Carne guisada had good flavor(could actually taste the cumin, and a lot of places don’t even use cumin, which is necessary for good Carne guisada) but they used the wrong cut of meat and it was over cooked, and the gravy was more of a liquid, eggs are eggs right?, tortillas were homemade, the potatoes were ok, no crisp on them. I believe they are overpriced. Would we come back? Naw, probably not… maybe if we were in Rosenberg.

On my trip to Houston I venture out to visit a Triple D alumni Bob’s Taco Station. I was amazed at how busy this place was and equally how excellent my food was. The tamale with sauce was remarkable the sauce could have be eaten like soup and the tamale was excellent too. The corn and flour tortillas are made in house(as well as everything else here). The Chicharron Guisado was made with the same tamale sauce the Carne Guisado was a brown stew like gravy and the crispy beef taco was seasons differently as well a nice touch. The TV food find deal during my travel pays off again Each dish had its own unique flavor profile all the meats were tender and cooled to perfection. The rice chips and everything else here is just fantastic. Fun and interesting junk collections is everywhere and the friendly staff makes you love all town Texas! I was so happy with this place I bought a shirt! FoodDude! Better do some cardio so I can show my Bob’s Taco shirt with pride!!!

I went here with high expectations. It was on TV, it must be great, right? Don’t get me wrong, the food is ok. Better than average. But for the price they charge it should be much better. Not to mention the service. I don’t think I’ve ever had service as bad as I’ve had here. I had to walk up to a waiter and ask if someone could take a drink order at least, after waiting for 15 minutes. He begrudgingly took our order, then never came back go our table without me grabbing him while he walked by. Seems like it’d be a one time thing, but all 3 times I’ve been here it’s been the same. So, I’ll go there for the novelty. But there are places in town with cheaper and better food, and much better service.

Just as described. This is a taco house that stands out because of the tortillas. I prefer the«beefy» variety that are thicker and this place delivers. I always get the carne guisada with a little solo cup of shredded cheese. Good stuff!

The Tacos are delicious and I have a lot of fond memories of growing up on these tacos. It is a bit pricey for being a taco restaurant though and I am not a fan of their potato tacos. It is basically just french fries in a taco. I prefer other local taco places around town. The only reason it was on the food network was because it’s so old.
