We had to remind them to bring us rolls, which did not arrive until after the food was served, half of which was cold. Had to get up and walk to find a manager. Replacement meal was on table before rolls arrived, then had to ask twice for honey and ask 2 different people for A-1. If I wanted to work this hard I would have cooked at home. 3 stars bc food was eventually tasty and wait for seating was not outrageous

Cannot complain about this location at all. I brought my aunt and uncle here for their anniversary, and of course we came in with the church crowd, so we wound up having to wait a bit. The wait wasn’t terrible because of the fascinating things to see at the store. Despite being busy, the waiter was fast and very friendly, so all around it was an enjoyable experience. We got in, had to wait for a bit, ate and got out in a relatively good amount of time. I’d be thrilled to come here again.

Food was yummy. It was old time home cooking. Really liked the biscuits, they were flaky. The pot roast was nice and soft. The gravy on the mash potatoes was really home cooking. The bacon cheeseburger was really tasty came with a side of cole slaw wish I would of added to the inside of the burger. The chocolate coke cake was so flaky and moist not wet like others.

Mom is a fan of their Country Fried Steak meal from all those cross country family trips. So naturally when I saw this after moving to Richmond, I decided to let her get a dose of nostalgia. Dropped in to order take out, and since its cooked fresh, there is a wait time of 30mins after ordering. Unfortunately they ran out of Baked Potatos, so the manager actually came out to apologize and when i said Baked Sweet Potato would be fine, he gave me one extra for the inconvenience! Very friendly staff, though service could be faster. Food was delicious!

TERRIBLESERVICE! Yesterday my husband, son and I ate there after I had been craving their delicious pancake platter. We were seated promptly; however, it took 10 minutes to get our waters, another 5 to 10 minutes to get our order taken and then about 45 minutes for our food to arrive. When we were seated, we told the waitress that we were on a time crunch because my husband had to work. After we finished breakfast, I told the manager that service was very poor and I had need a refill of iced tea for some time now, he did nothing to rectify the situation other than to have a pow wow with the waitress and from that point on, the service got even worse. The manager was a complete boob. Believe me, I am a diehard CB fan, but I was supremely disappointed yesterday.

While I wish I could write more good than bad about this Cracker Barrel. Don’t set high expectations for dinner. The servers are nice but don’t set your watch. However, kids do like the high chairs there better than most places along with golf tee puzzle.

I’ve been going to Cracker Barrel’s all over the South since I was a child. I love their little store and the good old Southern cookin’! Definitely worth a look!

I don’t understand some of the negative reviews on Unilocal for this place. For one, if you’re basing a negative review based on service alone even if the food was good then the review should be reflective of that. Anyhow, I’m a fan of this place even when it gets crowded. The longest I’ve had to wait was 15 minutes at the most and that was on the weekend but that’s understandable given how more people tend to go out and eat on the weekends. Plus, the wait time’s not that bad as there are rocking chairs out in the front that you can sit on or you can browse around in the store and shop. My favorites that I constantly order are the chicken and dumplings with the 3 vegetable sides or the chicken pot pie. The chicken pot pie is only available on Wed. Plus there’s the complimentary biscuits and corn muffins.

I didn’t think it would be possible, but they’ve gotten even SLOWER in terms of service. We decided to stop in for an early dinner on Saturday and even called in advance to give them a heads up since we had a larger party. Not too surprised, but when we got there, nothing was ready. There were barely 3 other parties in the entire restaurant yet we were still waiting a good 20 minutes before being seated. No complimentary bread/butter/jelly was brought to the table until we asked. Water cups were left empty. Food tasted bland. Definitely not worth waiting for.

This restaurant is one of my family’s favorite places to eat. The kids love checking out all of the toys and nostalgic candy. The have rocking chairs out front which everyone loves sitting at while either waiting for our name to be called or after we eat. Everything about the place exudes country store and home style cookin. I love how you can order breakfast all day. Their pancakes and bacon are delicious. The service is consistently great. Also be sure to ask for the free biscuits and cornbread before your meal. I don’t understand how they give away biscuits but then charge you for them as part of a kids breakfast meal. Overall, Love this place

I really love home country cooking type food that they serve but every single time we come here, the service is so slow. To make matters worse, the servers are also unfriendly. After you’ve been sitting and waiting, there is no «sorry for your wait» «how are you» etc. Tonight our waitress didn’t even greet us, just stood there and we proceeded to order. I don’t know why we keep coming back. This place needs service training STAT!

I wanted to try the chicken dumplings and it was packed, which only means the food has to be good. I wanted to order it to go, but it’s set up so weird. To order to go, I had to go to the register and they call a host to take your order, and tell you to stand in the same crowd as the people standing to be seated. After the chaos I left. How are they supposed to know who’s at standing to place an order to go or waiting to be seated?

This has to be the slowest Cracker Barrel I’ve ever been to. I keep coming back because the food is still good most of the time, and it’s the only one within a reasonable distance, so my options are limited. Go in on a weekend and you’ll have at least 15 minutes of wait time. Then when you sit down it’ll generally be another 10 minutes before anyone shows up to get your drink order. Your best bet is to order food then too, or else you’ll have to wait even longer. Because drinks take about 8 minutes to make it to the table. Then, finally. About 45 minutes after you walked into the place, you may have food. Maybe. I think I may start looking elsewhere if I want breakfast in a reasonable amount of time.

First off if you want an amazing dining experience ask for WES if he isn’t there you might as well just leave. My husband and I always call ahead to make sure Wes is there he is the perfect waiter he treats you amazing the whole way through. We have given many other waiters/waitresses a chance and nobody has been better or even close to Wes’s customer service. Besides Wes the food is also amazing! I always order the chicken fried steak with mashed potatoes and their amazing hash brown casserole.

We were seated two minutes after walking into the store. One waiter, John, came over to take our order and we were ready to order food but all he wanted to know was what we wanted to drink. We asked if we can order food now since we already knew what we wanted and he gave us attitude and reluctantly took our order. Because of him our whole dining experience was ruined by his rudeness. Our food came out within a good amount of time. Carla was our second waiter who had a bit better customer service than John. She started being more friendly when it came time for the check. I’m not sure what the stars on the apron mean but John had two stars and Carla had three stars. Wish we had one of the other servers with 5 or more stars to give us a better experience. Overall food was great but service was mediocre. Ordered the pancakes with southwestern sausage and hashbrown casserole.

The manager of this place is pretty useless, the staff are theives, and the service sucks. Left my table for 1 minute come back and the table had been cleaned and my sun glasses were gone. When I very kindly asked the staff for help nobody could help me and I was ignored until I got the manager who offered to take my number and call me if they showed up? Seriously? USELESS.

Lunch turkey and dressing. Ask for extra cranberry sauce(if you like it) bc they only give a small dab. Ask for gravy on the side if you don’t like gravy on everything. LOVED this meal. Perfect portion. Bread service was exceptional. Service was FASTFAST and professional. I’ll go back!

While Cracker Barrel has a great atmosphere their food is not that good. We went on Thanksgiving and the wait was long. They werent busy but I can understand short handedness due to it being a holiday. The employees are friendly and courteous. We ordered the Thanksgiving Meal due to the waitress recommendation. When they brought it I thought for a second we were eating at the Star of Hope. I think even homeless shelters give more food on the plate than Cracker Barrel does. The only thing good about it was the biscuits. A family sitting to the table next to us left and their kids made a HUGE mess with food on the floor under their table and around it. They bused the table and left the floor as it was… filthy. The waitress lead a man, his wife, and an elderly woman to that table to sit. After a short time the man made mention about the floor and only then did the staff clean it. It was more of them just moving the mess to one side rather than cleaning it. They should have moved this family to a clean area. I will NEVER go back here again. I have been here about 10 times and I tell myself that it will get better next time, but it never does. The food portions are rediculously small for the price and not even that good. The little store inside is nice, but pricey for the junk they do have.

Wow this place gets busy! But maybe it was because we came on Mother’s Day. Stopped by with a couple friends around noon and were told it was a 50 min wait, so we left and came back a couple hrs later and magically the wait was only 5 – 10 min at 2 pm. While waiting you can either relax on the rocking chairs outside the main entrance or you can peruse the shop which has lots of goodies including sugar cane sodas, old skool candies and… well that’s all I was really interested in. If you’ve never been to a Cracker Barrel before it’s best described as traditional country home cooking. We ordered off the breakfast menu, which you can do at any time if you just ask, even when they hand you a lunch/dinner menu at 2 pm. I got the chicken fried chicken which came with hash brown casserole, grits, and 2 eggs. The food was good at this location, but I have had some bad experiences at other locations in the past with food being overcooked or orders being incorrect. My only complaint here was that our food took quite a while even though the Mother’s Day brunch crowd had already died down. They did bring us some warm cornbread and biscuits so that was nice since we were starving! When you’re done and ready to pay, you simply bring your bill to the store cashier and cash out there. This also means you can add in anything from the shop to your restaurant tab and pay altogether! Also keep an eye out for their daily specials, which are written on a board next to the host stand.
