Went through the drive thru and ordered a fried oyster poboy. I could tell the oysters were sitting there in the back for a wile. If you’re going to serve fried seafood, make sure its fresh. Worst seafood ever. Will not be going back.

BEAWAREWHENORDERINGHERE! I ordered the lunch special which was $ 6.50 and was told the manager doesn’t want to honor that special anymore. I couldn’t understand how a manager decides what he chooses to honor when it’s posted in the restaurant and on the company website for $ 6.50. I was then told I had to get a $ 10 meal. Definitely won’t be back here.

Fried oyster plate is awesome. They have a very large salad for a side and the onion rings are HUGE and flacky. Very friendly staff including the manager. This was my second visit. I will be coming back.

Stopped by for a quick lunch. The Restuarant was clean and the staff was really friendly. I was greeted at the door and they even made recommendations based on what type of food i enjoyed(fried, grilled, etc). The lunch specials were a little high in price. I paid $ 18 for the fish platter which was the special that day and consisted of three shrimp, two catfish pieces and two chicken strips with two small sides. A bowl of gumbo is $ 10, but they do have some more reasonable dishes if you’re looking to eat and keep it under $ 10. They didn’t really capture the flavor of New Orleans which is one of their slogans, but if you have ever been to New Orleans, you probably know that they are the kings of Cajun cooking. It was a good experience though, and I did enjoy the crab cakes. Like I mentioned earlier, the service was top notch.

Something fishy at this place… I ordered the grilled shrimp w/2 sides for $ 10.50 and an ice tea. When I got to the window and asked for my total, the guy said $ 15.10. I asked for a breakdown and was told that when he got in today, the owner told him everything on the menu should be increased by 50 cents… I know its only change, but come on! Grilled shrimp were not worth $ 11 as they were very small. I also ordered grilled vegetables and a side salad. They were«out» of ranch AND honey mustard. I opted for italian. So… why did I get ketchup for my salad? I will not be back and definately not recommending this place to anyone.

New customer and service great and food better. Had Cajun Pasta and a baked red fish… EXCELLENT, but spicy.

I would highly recommend the fish place in Rosenberg to anyone. I have patronized them several times and the food is always fresh, hot and flavorful. The staff is always very friendly and helpful. It’s gotten so that the drive thru employee recognizes my sons and I, as we visit so much. I had the good fortune to use them for a baby shower I was hosting for a friend. The guest could not stop raving about how great the food was, while going back up for seconds(and thirds). Everything was absolutely fresh and delicious. Using them for catering was an amazing value! I couldn’t have put together such a fabulous spread on my budget without them. The manager Ely was super friendly and accommodating in making sure we had everything we needed and stayed within our budget. Whenever the need arises for another family event or just a night off from cooking for mom, my first thought will be the Fish Place.

Too expensive for what it is, the fish wasn’t so good :(, but the green beans and fries are very good!

I had the fried oysters, fries, and hush puppies. SO good! My three year old enjoyed the garlic bread and«fish place» lemonade(because three year olds don’t prefer fried oysters)! We sat as we were pampered by the staff. Constant refills and unrelenting smiles. I asked for a to-go box(bc WOW this could feed an army) and they brought me a box AND to go cup with lemonade. They wished me well and, after I brought up that I was getting my inspection done, they gave me advice for new inspection regulations! This kind of service isn’t seen often. I’ll be back FORSURE!

First and last time visiting this restaurant. The staff was very attentive but the food tasted horrible and was very over priced for the quantity and quality. Never have I eaten coleslaw that was crunchy because of the amount of sugar in it. Although the staff asked several times if everything was ok, no offer was made to get me a fresh serving after I informed them that it was just not eatable. The so called Blackened fish was more like a skimpy filet drenched some kind of over powering seasoning. Total waste of time and cash. I’ll stick to Boudreaux Cajun Kitchen even though it’s a good distance away.

The food is very good! It comes in variety of options to be served grilled or fried. If any member of your family is not a seafood fan, they even have chicken options. I’ve been to this location well over 15 times and have never been sick once. Food cooking quality is very good. This is not a prestigious seafood place, so food is not high end quality, which also means no high end prices. It’s affordable. The gumbo is not that great as per Texas and Louisiana standards. This place has the best customer service that I have ever seen in a small seafood restaurant. The owner is excited to greet you whether you’re a first time customer or a repeat. The staff seems to echo the same sentiment. The location is in a prime shopping district of Rosenberg. You can make this as part of your shopping adventure. There is ample parking space and this location has the unique feature of a drive thru compared to other Fish Place locations. I drive from Sugar Land, the next city over to come to this place. The interior is very casual and laid back, not fancy and designed for the family. Maybe a couple of more TVs to help provide proper coverage for the entire seating area will definitely help. The area is kept very clean compared to others that we have been in the same area. A go to place for seafood.

I’m in the area a few times a month and had a taste for something other than fast food so I decided to try this place, especially since I LOVE Cajun food. I was immediately greeted when I walked in. I looked over the menu(on the wall by the entrance). I decided 2 order a small cup of gumbo, 2 boudain balls & a tea. Whyyyyyy were the boudain balls $ 4? My order came out to $ 10 and some change — way too much! The place had 1 dine-in customer and a flat screen tv. It was also very clean kept. My food took about 5 minutes to prepare. I must give props, the customer service was superb but the food was not even close 2 being good. The gumbo was straight from someone’s box & the boudain balls were bland. Will not be returning.

This is my first time coming to Fish place. I always drive by here and finally decided to stop in. Everyone was very nice and attentive to me before and during my meal. Someone even helped me bring my baby inside. It’s very rare that you can go somewhere enjoy the food and have good service. I’m happy to see those places still exist.

This place has an identity crisis. We are greeted by an extremely attentive staff, the way you are greeted at a 5 star restaurant. Then we had to get up to get our own tea, napkins and sweetener, as there was nobody around to take care of this. It seemed like we were at Mickey Ds. Food was good but not memorable. So, pls make up your mind and decide if you are going to be a full service restaurant or an inexpensive fast food joint. Can’t be both, it just hurts your ratingsl

Excellent food & service. The manager & employees treated our table as if we were royalty by providing an explanation of the menu, making suggestions, constantly checking on us to ensure we were satisfied throughout the meal & even refilling our drinks for us-things one would expect from a server; yet, this is not a typical restaurant where there’s an expectation to be served to such extents. There were also, two other employees that appeared at some point, to also, check on us. I look forward to returning again & hope to see the same manager & employees.

Just moved to the area from South Louisiana, thought we’d give this place a try since it was supposed to be «Cajun». Sorry people, not even close. The gumbo tasted like a boxed mix, not even sure how the«jambalaya“came about, it was just horrible, the grilled shrimp had a decent flavor, fried catfish was pretty good, just not seasoned & the salad was the typical bagged salad with italian dressing like I’ve never seen.(I’ll eat it plain, thank you). Hubby had fried redfish(which we catch & eat often) it tasted like muddy catfish. The kids said the chicken strips were o.k. I will say, the staff was very friendly and attentive. The manager even brought over 2 huge slices of OLD, cold carrot cake to welcome us to the area. Thanks? Lol Giving 2 stars — 1 for service and 1 for the catfish Don’t think we’ll be visiting again though.

I love this place. The owner is so friendly, courteous, and attentive. And his crew have come a long way to match his service level. We order the shrimp/catfish combo in the large serving with greenbeans, which are the best I have ever had, yummy red beans and rice and buttery French bread. The sauces that come with the meal are great and the huge serving always satisfies. We always feel welcome and the setting it casual so we can take our time and enjoy our meal. You can’t beat great food with great customer service. It keeps us coming back for sure.
