Found this place on Unilocal and was not disappointed. The guy and I were greeted with a smile and served with one as well. The atmosphere was chill and conversation and laughter filled the air. I opted for a glass of the cab wine, not sure which one I was served but it was smoooth and mellow, so much that I had a second round. Food: I just had to try thePescado Crispy beer battered cod topped with our pico de gallo, cabbage and jack cheese, Yummy and Fresh must have more next time! Carnitas Fries French fries topped with carnitas, melted jack and cheddar cheese, black olives homemade guac, sour cream, pico de gallo, jalapenos and green onions These were good as well, the fries were crisp, but not greasy and the topping were well proportioned. Let’s me not forget out server, she was great smiley and attentive. I will be back for some more tacos and that oh so smoooth cab wine. I give this place 4 yums up! Review 2016 #25 out of 100

Always a great time. Great food(I literally have dreams about the fish tacos). Live music most nights. Great selection of local beers on tap. Just a good all-around local place.

My wife and I came here for lunch and a couple of drinks and were very happy with the place. The beer selection was great with a number of craft brews I hadn’t tried before. Food was what I would classify as very good pub food, which is to say it was the perfect meal with a good pint. Our server was friendly and stayed around to chat with us a bit, which we enjoyed. Overall very good experience and I will be back again.

Great Bloody Mary, absolutely chilling Moscow Mule with plenty of Vodka, down side we were looking for a burger to accompany our refreshment but alas no… kitchen is closed. I would recommend they stating food service hours… just sayin

I come here a couple times a week either for some lunch while I’m on my break, or for a beer after work and it’s one of my favorite spots to just relax with good friends. I usually order the Santa Fe chicken sandwich or the loaded nachos, they are both awesome! Joey is a great bartender and is always attentive even when it gets busy! Everyone else has always been very nice as well. Definitely recommend coming here!

We come here for Monday night Trivia. Love Greg the Trivia Master. Staff has always been friendly, but not over doing it. Have had several menu items. Husband likes The Hangover burger. That is his«new» find with the fried egg. Plenty of food with whatever we have order whether it is a sandwich or an appetizer. We like that the trivia night also has«flight night» with different brewers. Not every one has been a hit with us, but it is nice to see a good rotation of different beers and breweries. Einstok has been my favorite so far! Happy hour during trivia is a nice addition as well. Plenty of parking with a public lot across the street.

When we arrived, we were the first ones in the restaurant but there were people at the bar. Staff was busy cleaning to get ready for what seemed to be a busy night ahead. The atmosphere was light with tvs playing different sports-soccer, golf-motor cross. I think when they have entertainment, it’s probably a great bar to visit. Great service and food was awesome! Three of us had burgers and one had a roast beef sandwich. Garlic fries were the bomb!

Best bar in Roseville. I love Cooper and Brandy. They made a drink just for me. Order a Staci. With a French dip. Ask Cooper to twirl for you. Come to trivia on Monday with Quiz Master Greg! Good times.

Stumbled over to this bar by accident last night and was thrilled to see a stage being set up for a live music show. Then the band starts. Wow! These guys were sooo good. If I remember correctly, their name was Simple Creation. They had a reggae style that reminded me of sublime/irration/slightly stoopid. They performed a Bob Marley medley & it was awesome! Happy to have found this place & hope to be able to see more great bands/musicians perform here in the future. Oh, and I will definitely be back to try the food after reading some of these great reviews.

The struggle is real. And real as in trying to consume my entire plate of food in front of me. I am one of those people who always finished every last crumb off my plate until it looks clean. Well, this was one of those occasions where this did NOT happen! And this is where I am bringing to you on a trip to Old Town Roseville at «Bar 101 Eats & Drinks». Located directly on Main Street in the heart of Old Town Roseville, this place looks like your typical gastropub that serves your typical run-of-the-mill burgers with beer and well drinks. Well, looks can be deceiving because it is much, much more than that. «Bar 101» offers a full-on mecca of menu options to choose from that I will get into later. The inside was clean, spacious, and offers extra room for dancing and/or live music. Additionally, they offer 13HDTV’s, a 10-ft projection screen, a pool table, and lots of seating for you and your guests. The drink selection is also impressive as they offer 27 beers on tap as well as many known and hard to find bottled beers. They also include a few types of wines as well as all the major liquors in case you wish to go for a well drink. But what had me sold on this place was their food choices. You are able to order an amazing amount of appetizer options(wings, chicken strips, calamari, nachos, and fries) as well as 8 different types of burgers. Everything from the traditional classic burger to the more elaborate peanut butter, jelly, and bacon burger! They also offer a nice selection of salads, sandwiches, street tacos, and fish & chips. I had come here with my lady and our friend on a Sunday evening after spending most of our day bike riding. And you know that type of cardio will build up your appetite. So as our tummies were growling, a nice juicy burger would absolutely hit the spot. And that is where I went for the traditional«Classic Burger»(for $ 8.95) with a side of garlic fries. If you do order standard fries, they are included in the price while the garlic fries substitute was only $ 1.50 more. My lady ordered 4 of their«Carnitas» street tacos(at $ 1.95/each) while our friend went all out and ordered their«Hangover Burger»(for $ 12.95). And since the weather was mild and sunny for a February afternoon, all three of us decided on ordering cold beers to accompany our food. I had the«Americano Espresso Stout»(8.7%) for $ 6.50. My lady tried their Hefeweizen while our friend had their apricot ale. All of the beers were iced cold and tasted great. Additionally, we all split an appetizer which was their«Chicken Strips»(for $ 8.95); best of all, this included a side of their seasoned fries. The chicken strips arrived first and tasted crispy and tender when dipped in their house made BBQ sauce. The fries were on point; definitely seasoned to perfection and made crispy; just the way I like them. Only a few minutes later passed and all three of our entrees arrived! Now I’ve had some big burgers in my time but I have got to tell you, this behemoth sized burger was ginormous! There must have been OVER1lb of meat packed inside the brioche bun. And the inside had very generous amounts of cheddar cheese, lettuce, tomato, red onions, pickles, and their house made Thousand Island sauce. The flavor was absolutely on point; definitely one of the much better burgers I’ve had in my time. I also tried one of my lady’s carnitas tacos and just like my burger, the loaded it up with meat. I do have to say for a bar/restaurant offering this amazing tasting food at very competitive prices, this place is a true winner in my book. And if you’re on the search for top burgers in Placer County, I’d have to rank«Bar 101» in my top 3. It’s just that damn good! I do have to say, I was sweating after attempting to eat my last bite of this burger(I couldn’t even finish the fries) but it was worth it in the end. So if you’re on the hunt for some damn good comfort food and drinks, I highly recommend you check out«Bar 101»!

Visit #1 to Bar 101 was 100% perfect. I thought I was never going to get to try this place! I happened to be in the area for a meeting this past weekend and jumped at the chance to enjoy a lunch all by my lonesome. It was just after 1 pm and there were plenty of open tables I was able to seat myself at. As I mentioned I was without my charming children but was pleased to see a couple families enjoying lunch on the patio. There were also many couples seated at the bar.(I had to return to my meeting so I have already planned a return trip to try some of the beers on tap) The waiter was very quick and attentive. I went with my gut and ordered the Santa Fe Chicken sandwich. Served on toasted brioche with house made thousand island, the blackened chicken breast and roasted Poblano chile were individually delicious and came together like a wonderful explosion on my taste buds. I had a side salad to pair with my sandwich. There is an additional charge for onion rings or garlic fries but no for the salad so… bonus points. I love salad and this one was a bit indulgent with cheese croutons. More points for chopped veggies in the salad… it just makes it easier to eat than gigantic pieces of veggies and cherry tomatoes sliding all over the place. You know what I am talking about. All these delicious fresh flavors and just a really cool place to hang out. I was able to catch a bit of 2 different college basketball games they were playing on 2 of their many TV screens. Visit # 2 to Bar 101 is in the near future. I inviting the husband for sure. Basketball, Beer AND Fantastic Food? He will be in heaven.

Cool little bar. Went here for the first time because our friend recommended it. I was not disappointed. We had the carnitas fries which were super delicious! Then we had the cowboy burger. The burger was big so you could split it if you had appetizers before hand. We also had the onion rings which were to die for. I will definitely be back. I always stick with hard cider when I drink and I forgot the name but it was really good. Our friend tried the chocolate hazelnut beer and loved it also. The bartender was friendly and the food was ready fast. Very clean place also. They have a bunch of tvs so we were able to watch football there too. Cool place I would recommend it to anyone who likes good food and beer.

This place is not bad. Came here from a Unilocal recommendation. We came on a Friday night. Was a little busy. So maybe that was the reason for slow service. Took us a minute to get drinks ordered. But we were greeted right away. Not like the server wasn’t trying… but, it wasn’t THAT busy for the size of the building. Just a little slow. The food came out. Great presentation. However, for a burger, not a lot of flavor. Hubby said the same thing bout his burger. And yes, we ordered different burgers. Not a whole lot to say, this place was ok. It’s not the go-to. But, if other places in Roseville are packed and super crowded, and I was starving, I would come here. If the service was faster and probably is if we sat at the bar in front of the bartender, I would come here for quick drinks again.

The food is amazing. The service is hit or miss, but usually good. Have been here multiple times, summer is fine. Winter, do they even they turn on the heater? Literally every woman in here has their jackets on, one has a beanie and gloves(not kidding). It’s 45 degrees outside right now, doesn’t meet feel much warmer than outside. The shows are good but the music is way too loud, to the point where you can’t hear anyone you are with unless you cup their ear and YELL in it. But food wise, this is five stars. Winter, being your beanies, music time, bring ear plugs.

TACOSTACOSTACOS! My experience with bar 101 is solely during the day life, I have never experienced at night so my rating is based on such. The service is average, normal bar service. Standard selection of liquor and beers, decently priced happy hour, But they get a good rating for the fact that if I think about tacos, this is the first place that comes to mind. Located in old Roseville off of pacific and main you have quite a selection. But this has been one of the better experiences in this area. Especially food-wise. The tacos are small, not greasy. I tend to lean towards the carnitas, but every single one is worth trying.

Pretty disappointed. The 3 star rating is generous — 4+ stars for the staff and 3 stars for the space/atmosphere and 2 stars for not very good food. Having read the reviews and seen the food pics, my experience was not as inviting. Overall, service was good, atmosphere and décor could use some additional character, and the food was barely ok. Arrived at Bar 101 early evening on a Saturday. Fairly quiet inside and we were greeted quickly; sat at the bar. The wall behind the bar is covered in corrugated metal sheets and the remaining walls in the space are fairly sparse; tall open ceiling. Table are placed around the open room concept and look like they may be moved for events/dancing later in the evening. There is a pool table off to one side and a couple dart board machines off the other end of the bar. The brick is nice but some adornment would add to the character. Our server was prompt to take our drink order and deliver. Nice draft beer selection and full bar option. The wine options were basic. The food menu has some regulars burgers, sandwiches, salads and some mexican flare. the favorites here seem to be the burgers, carnitas fries and loaded nachos. The 2 others in our party of 3 ordered street tacos(a la carte) — pescado and carnitas. For something a bit more hearty, I chose the«classic burger» with cole slaw instead of fries(to make myself feel better about my choice). I didn’t try the tacos. The burger was disappointing and I was not impressed with the cole slaw. The burger: served on a brioche bun, the patty was very uniform, dense, with very little flavor — I could be wrong but I’d guess it was a frozen patty, not at all like those I had seen in photo’s. Honestly, the burger would have been better without the patty. The slaw: probably bagged cabbage blend with very watery cream style dressing with no personality of any kind. It was very bland. If at home, I sprinkle some vinegar to brighten it up and give some depth. I think it’d be fair to try Bar 101 again and update this review; definitely pass on the burger and try something with their carnitas(fries, nachos, or tacos). I’m perplexed by the previous reviews and my experience.

Gave this place a try again and am now a fan! Came here late Friday night because the kitchen were already closed at the other bars in the area. On the menu it said that the kitchen closed at 10PM on Fridays but we were still able to get food around 11PM. I ordered carnitas fries and my bf ordered the Package Burger. Both were surprisingly tasty. I had low expectations because bar food doesn’t tend to be impressive, but I was pleasantly surprised by how well marinated the carnitas was and the size of both plates. I’m also a stickler for fries and somehow they got these thick fries to be both crispy and soggy – best of both french fry worlds! The crispiness also held up underneath the huge mounds of guacamole and sour cream. Had a bite of the burger and the patty was juicy and flavorful. Might need to make a stop by here more often!

After a LONG day at work on a Saturday, BOOOOO, we wanted to grab a bite before making the drive back to Reno. My hubby knows his way around this town and found this place on Unilocal for us. I had the carnitas nachos and they were incredible! So much delicious melty real cheese and perfectly cooked pork was a mouthwatering combination on obviously freshly cooked chips. I got the salsa, guacamole, and sour cream on the side(cuz I’m just like that) but if you like your nachos smothered I bet it’s good! Good beer selection and friendly bar, with a local feel to it, but doesn’t leave you feeling like an outsider. If you’re not familiar with the area, old Roseville can be kinda hard to navigate. The streets are relatively narrow and can be crowded on a weekend. Some street parking is available as well as a lot a short walk away.
