Was surprised by the poor attitude of the bartender, far from what I would consider professional.

Yes this is a 5 Star because the Chef is increible! This food will satisfy a foodie pallet as it would a food critic. From LA to SF to Napa thank you for coming to Roseville. The Salmon melts in your mouth, not blackened at all. The Picatta is the best as good as Paesanos in SJ. They even have Bourbon or Whisky or Scotch flights. I cleaned out both plates. Compliments to the Chef and the owner for hiring & having a Famous Chef.

Really great dinner. The ambiance, food, drinks, and service were all great. We came on a Monday, so the noise levels were very low and we didn’t need to speak loudly to be heard. We had: 1. Chicken piccata with polenta, really delicious. 2. Filet mignon– prepared well and the sides were great. 3. Burger– very simple, but delicious. The potatoes on the side were prepared very well. 4. tagliatelle with meatballs– great, the sauce tasted very fresh. A really simple dish. 5. Meru with lentil pilaf– a really great Thai/Asian inspired dish. Was fresh and seemed pretty healthy(although probably not low calorie). 6. Butter lettuce salad– ah! So great! Loved the apricots and pecans in the salad. Delicious light dressing. We will definitely be back!

After somewhat difficult day, a martini was on her must-have list of evening must-haves. I was interested in a nice craft beer, some food, and a stool to prop myself on for an hour plus. It’s called Social Hour at Cibo 7. At the bar, you can watch the action in the kitchen; the basting and grilling of meats and making of cioppino. There’s also cozy seating area out front. Overall, a solid experience with friendly talkative staff, friendly peeps at the bar, really good food and large selection of libations at the bar. A chill atmosphere, not rushed, and very relaxed. A cold Old Rasputin and a filthy Tito’s martini preceded the warm focaccia. From the Social Hour menu, the Cast Iron Pasta & Pork Meatballs — a light serving of tagliatelle pasta with pomodoro, two pork meatballs, and topped with hand-pulled mozzarella. The ‘social hour’ portion is smaller but was all I wanted. From the main menu, her Butter Leaf Lettuce Salad — golden balsamic vinaigrette and sherry candied pecans. I’d definitely be back and would choose this over the wildly popular place a few doors down. It can be pricey here but I don’t mind when the quality and service reflect that it’s deserved. PS — if a blender is required for you to have a beverage, have the door opened for you, and don’t want to sit near older people, maybe this place isn’t for you. Yes, I’m referring to you, Marina from Los Angeles.

A bit pricey but wonderful place. Our favorite was the kentucky mule drink and the butter lettuce salad. The carbonara was great too. Friendly servic made us happy.

Nice family dinner last night! Our party of 9 was handled easily and with friendly grace. I found the menu to be more Med than the ravioli and red sauce Italian I was led to expect. Everyone enjoyed their dishes with the mushroom soup(although all felt should be hotter) and pork medallions getting most praise. My gnocchi with blue cheese foam was delicious but the companion chicken was ordinary and a bit dry. Portions are large and the desserts tend to be complicated combinations. Gingerbread French toast was my fave along with the chocolate mousse, which had too many other items on the pretty plate – it deserved to shine on its own! High end pricing and on the high side wine mark ups will keep this a special occasion spot for most folks

Went to Cibo 7 for an anniversary dinner and it exceeded our expectations. Definitely the best meal we have ever had in Roseville. We had excellent service from a friendly and professional server. He was there when we needed something and gone when we didn’t. We started with a signature cocktail and one of the bourbons off the extensive list. Next we had the baby beet salad. The beets were marinated in a grapefruit or citrus and when combined with a the radicchio and frisee lettuces and crunch of the pistachios it was delicious! We finished our cocktails and ordered a bottle of wine off another extensive list. Our server was happy to help point us in the right direction. Then we had the house bread with amazing truffle butter. The house bread is a toasted focaccia and when combined with the butter it is just simply amazing. Do not skip the bread. Then Mary’s Chicken and Dixon Lamb. Melt in your mouth meals with just the right complexity to keep you wondering how the chef pulled it off. The pace of the meal was perfect. Even more the presentation blows away any other restaurant in Roseville. This was not a cheap dinner, but if you understand what it takes to source the best quality ingredients and prepare and serve them to perfection you will understand. We can’t wait to go back

This place is kind of like a hidden gem. It’s not hidden, but they are neighbors with Paul Martins Restaurant, so don’t think they get good looks. But let me tell you, don’t let this place scare you when you walk by and see this place is half empty. You will be pleasantly surprised. The ambiance is lovely. A nice French and Mediterranean theme. The staff are all very friendly and happy to have new comers. Well obviously, we were seated right away because it was not too busy. We had a server immediately after we were seated. The server was personable, friendly, and professional. Their wine list is extensive and the server was happy he’ll find us a wine best for us. However, I decided to try one of their signature cocktails. They first came out with complimentary house made bread that was REALLY good. Kind of like toast but with good flavor, and some seasoned butter to go with it. Not too long after but also not too soon, our appetizers came out. Wow. What beautiful presentation. And the food was delicious! Amazing flavors. Not too heavy too, light flavors but really packs a punch. Pleasantly surprised. Then not too long after that, but also not too soon, our meals came out. Again, perfect presentation, and the food was damn good! Again, so much flavor. This chef knows what he is doing. And don’t let me forget, that cocktail I had was really good too! A nice little twist on the lemon drop martini; so if you are a lemon drop fan like I am, you wanna try this drink! Long story longer, hope this place stays in business for awhile cuz we will definitely be back. The food is a little pricey, but if you find value in good food, good service, good drinks, and a good environment, go treat yourself.

Cibo 7 opened some time ago, I live 1 mile away but for«reasons» I chose not to visit. Yesterday, by choice of others I was compelled to go. I went in with something of a negative perception. I went from that state of opinion to the opposite in short order. I mean as soon as I entered the room short order. The place is a no brainer — it’s rich and elegant interior makes the space an instant classic that deserves applause. The bar surface is deep and affords each person there own substantial domain and echo’s the sense of ‘plenty’ that the interior evokes, the chairs/stools are amazing — yes, I’m talking about the seating, nothing is missed and everything reinforces the perspective that this place is a cornerstone gathering spot and has flagship capability among this regions dinning hotbed that is the Roseville, Granite Bay, Folsom corridor. The menu is diverse with a great mix of offerings that is both classic and adventurous — very refreshing. There was one fail — the Octopus with chick pea gnocchi was not a total disaster but for $ 19 I expected much better — though the Octopus cuts were generous the dish was very salty, nothing exciting about it on the pallet thus was an overall disappointment. But, plenty of other food had by others was well executed with flair. I’m not one to believe that 1 fail defines the chef or his team — it happens to the best, that’s just reality. I was impressed by the commitment to Bourbon, the selection is DEEP. The wine list is very capable. However, a few criticisms here. I’m proud of our Sierra Foothills AVA, it is our local juice and just as I believe in farm to fork, I believe in vineyard to glass. There is much to be said for locals who support locals and unfortunately this wine list makes just one capitulation to the foothills via some dessert wine. I say support your neighbors, you are by definition asking them to support you, be it Amador, El Dorado, Placer or Nevada county, there is good wine out there and the gesture would go a long way with the many dinners who are proud of the home town appellation. Secondly, the entry level pricing was elevated, which is in concert with the pricing theme over all. I can however appreciate this on one hand, in that I’m one who believes that price discrimination can be a very good device, not to contradict myself here, but I can appreciate the possible motive. Which I believe is the case, in that the attention to detail at Cibo 7 is obvious thus the absence of something is by design and not by incompetence. The service. I interacted with a number of the staff and to a man I’d say that all of them are motivated, skilled, strong social I.Q.‘s, table maintenance, timing, friendly, assured — from my limited exposure of 1 visit, I give a hearty them thumbs up. In sum, Cibo 7 has assembled a quality team from the back of the house to the front of the house. It was a $ 400 dollar night and Cibo 7 provided a great backdrop to a charming evening of food, drink, conversation and business. 4 stars is the score and in time I won’t be surprised if I bump that up to 5 stars as I perceive this place is as an evolving entity. A job well done from concept to execution and, yes, I have the aforementioned philosophical differences and guess what? That’s just fine, that’s reality and the over all reality is that Cibo 7 is a very good place to spend your money.

I’m going to be one of those people to say I NEVER write reviews. In fact, this is my first. My parents and I wondered in here after another restaurant was too full. And all I can say is WOW. This place is 5 star for a fraction of the price. The meals are not only delicious but beautifully plated. Seriously, it’s like a restaurant in New York that you need a 4 month reservation for. Okay, a bit dramatic but you get the gist.

My friends took me here for my 40th bday last night and we had the best service ever. The Chef(im sorry I forgot to ask his name) served the bday cake to the table and gave me the first slice. That was excellent 5. Ambiance: Perfect for a fine dining celebration, classy, cozy and elegant. Staff: Were amazing and very professional. Great service by Aaron, very kind and professional. All of us liked what we ordered from the main course. We’d definitely come back and spread the good news to our friends.

Outstanding. Great service by Aaron. Very classy and fun. Knowledgable staff. Comfortable tables. Extensive wine list and cocktails. I had ciopono and my wife had the filet. I had the beet salad and she bad the pumpkin, crab soup. All really, really good. Bring your wallet. Yikes.

While my wife is a foodie who enjoys small portions and variety of different dishes I am more interested in the service and the atmosphere than creative cooking. Worse, small portions that leave me hungry while I’m looking at a hefty dinner bill immediately earn a 3 star reduction in my simpleton mind. With all that as background, I have to hand it to these folks. Not only was I satisfied with the service and substenance, my wife also enjoyed all aspects of the evening. We started with cocktails; a Manhattan for me and a Moscow mule for my wife. I liked that our server allowed us to take our time with these before urging us to order. Before the entrée we both had salads; mine a generous size caesar and hers the foodielious, Roasted Baby Beet Salad that has redwood hills goat cheese, hazelnut, wild rocket For the record, the entrée’s ordered where the«Chicken & Pesto Ricotta Lasagna — sun dried tomato, hand pulled mozzarella, parmesan reggiano«and my wife had the«Braised Dixon Lamb Shank — spicy tomato risotto, baby squash, garlic streusel» Congrats to the team for giving us a nice night out.

Went here for an unplanned dinner with my wife. Appetizer: Beet Salad — Not too bad but highly overpriced at $ 14. Should be around $ 8. Entrée: Prime Beef Burger — Very bland. The meat didn’t have any flavors — not even salt! For $ 16 I expect a better burger than InNout. Im just glad I didn’t order any of the many $ 30+ entrees here. Overall Impressions: Ambiance — Classic/Rustic mix with warm and welcoming setting. By far best part about dining here. Service — Very Average. Doesn’t support pricing. Food — Average and overpriced. Feels like Crush29 quality food with markup. Food quality and pricing don’t make sense. I won’t be back. Try Hawk’s instead on a similar budget.

While the appetizers were great(the beets fabulous) the dinners not so great. The lamb shank was so salty as to not really be edible. Four of us got the filet. Two ordered rare and two medium rare. They mixed up the orders we found out too late. When you spend $ 38 on a filet you would think they would get that right. So in all, none of the dinners turned out to be right. We brought our own wine and paid the $ 20 corkage fee. That said, the $ 144 for two dinners given what we got was very steep. Don’t see myself going back. Paul Martins a better choice.

This place was a visit due to a spur in the moment… I was interested in trying something different, new, delicious, with great service, informal and relaxed. Well, this place exceeded pretty much on every level. The customer service was excellent, very attentive, friendly and something to brag about for sure. The food is delicious, presentation is great and definitely worthy of a 5 star experience. The portions are decent size, filling and appropriate to match the pricing that comes along with them. The ingredients and food is fresh, amazing and more than you would expect. The one thing I didn’t expect is this place being the formal, special restaurant that it was. I came here wearing my sweats and sweatshirt, coming out of a gym. This is not the place for a casual post gym snack session. Even though the staff didn’t make me feel any different or out of place, for coming in the casual, dress down clothes that I wore… It’s more of a suit or casual dress clothes type of place, but in either event, you will sure to have a great time. Did I mention the food and service is outstanding? Because it is… If you haven’t been here, go check it out, you won’t be disappointed!!!

For Roseville this place definitely deserves a five. It’s not cheap, so that is going to stop 80% of the residents in Roseville from trying Cibo, which is unfortunate. I do think the cost to value ratio is more than fair especially since there aren’t many other small nicer boutique restaurants in Roseville. So if you like fine dining and don’t feel like driving to Midtown or Folsom, Cibo 7 should be on your list. We started off with the roasted baby beet salad and the braised and grilled spanish octopus. Both were great, the goat cheese in the salad was the perfect complement to the beets and the arugula. The octopus was meaty yet tender and the added ahi tuna was a nice touch. For our entrees, I was very happy with my duck breast and my wife had the salmon over beluga lentils. Both were expertly prepared and were filling. We finished with the chocolate mousse which was a superb way to end dinner. The service was friendly and prompt and the restaurant is nicely decorated. Cibo 7 would be perfect for a nicer evening to celebrate a special occasion or if you don’t mind spending the extra few dollars you’ll get a great meal. My wife and I will definitely put this restaurant in our monthly rotation.

See Beau at Cibo! We were running late on our girls’ night out and the hostess seated us right away! It wasn’t super busy for a Friday, but it was still nice of her to keep our reservation. I didn’t catch her name, but Beau was our server and he was just as friendly and accommodating. The lasagna may take a while to cook, but all of our orders were well worth the wait! Presentation and flavor were on point, especially for the pappardelle and burger. Also, if you’re with a group, they can split the check upon request. Great for special occasions!

I came here with my parents to celebrate the last of my birthday. Get this! As my table was seated, I asked for their cocktail menu, and the waitress tells me they don’t have a blender(a kitchen with no blender? What???) or a cocktail menu, so no cocktails for moi. Does that mean they really don’t serve cocktails, or are they just too lazy to bring out a blender on this ever so slow day? THESTAFF — Our waitress was pretty nice, but had a hard time opening our wine bottle. There was no door man, but one of the staff members were nice enough to open the door for us entering and leaving. THEFOOD — Pan seared scallops were delectable but I was a little confused on the onions with the scallops and thought it had a Mediterranean taste to it instead of Italian. I enjoyed the sauce that was used and it was caramelized with lettuce. The half dozen West Coast Oysters were palatable as usual. I enjoyed the onion with vinaigrette dipping sauce but their cocktail sauce tasted pre-packaged Their pan roasted Mary’s chicken breast has sweet mashed potatoes with corn that did not work well but I wouldn’t send it back for that, I took one bite of my mother’s polenta and made an immediate switch. My mother ordered their lamb with polenta, which was absolutely delicious, my chicken was underseasoned and unsatisfactory so i just had to switch with her, it saved my review from being a 2 star. Seared Diver Scallops($ 18.00) Half Dozen West Coast Oysters($ 19.00) Pan roasted Mary’s chicken breast($ 22.00) 8oz Prime Beef Burger($ 15.00) Veal Picatta($ 27.00) — — — — — — — — — — — — — — — — — — — — — — A bit overpriced for Roseville. While the next two restaurants were completely packed, Cibo 7 was empty. Two other tables with only old people whom left early and only my mom, dad, and I were there. The vibe felt as old as the other dining guests that were here.

People… Social Hour… A MUST do a Cibo 7! Delicious appetizers at half price — come on. Who could resist the Wagyu Beef and Lamb meatballs? Recommended by our server Mike. Also, the whole blackened prawns with Romesco sauce are incredible. Ask for Beau as your server. He will take great care of you.

The good: Amazing restaurant, decorations, theme ext. Service was very good, attentive, The off: It’s a modern European restaurant, yet playing rock music during lunch. Some Italian music would have been nice. The bad: Walking into an empty restaurant at lunch is never a good sign. 12 on a Thursday afternoon is a symptom of major problems. Paul Martins next door was packed. Limited lunch menu, sky high prices. Seriously, 14 for a basic salad without protein. This is Roseville, not downtown San Francisco. More and lighter options would be welcome. We had the wedge salad and meatballs. Wedge was swimming in dressing, so much so we could not finish the dish. Flavor otherwise was great. Meatballs were fantastic, my wife and I had a fork duel over the last one. Shocking, unlike most Italian restaurants we were not offered bread and oil. Verdict, the lunch experience needs a major revamp. No excuse for the type of experience, unless the owner likes losing money serving a total of 3 folks from noon to 1. May try dinner for wine and dessert, but with other high quality options near by. It’s not likely. The waiter did take 10% off the salad, which was a whooping 1.40… Again, service was great, overall experience for the price… Not so much

The urban dictionary defines CIBO(pronounced– chee-bow) as a name for a non-pretentious person who enjoys all food. The owner might admit that the 7 is just a number. Not just any number but his favorite number. I’ve been to Cibo7 a few time now, mostly for the social hour that hosts a wine list unlike any other. This time however, we decided to dine, non-pretentiously of course. That being said, I’ll give you ‘7’ reasons this place is unique and why you should, by all means indulge. 1. The wine list– You won’t find a wine list like this in the area. In fact, I don’t think you’ll find it anywhere. 2. The Chef — Chef Chris and his team make everything from scratch, and it’s good! It’s damn good! 3. The Décor– Every inch of this place is adorned with taste and class. From the brick walls to the coper ceilings, it’s beautiful! 4. The food– The food is unreal! If it’s not flown in from its natural habitat, it’s grown locally. Everything is made from scratch, and everything is delicious! 5. Social Hour– Happy Hour, take note… This is how you should be representing. 6. The owner– Unique in his own way, Chad blew all my expectations out of the water. Bravo! 7. Did I mention the food?! Enough said…

Having been there for wine tasting, social hour, and dinner I can say that each time we are there we look forward to going back. Chef Chris has put together an amazing menu with highest quality ingredients and a fair amount of creativity in the savory and sweet items. Cibo 7 is the kind of place to have a nice sit down meal or sit at the bar area and relax with your friends. The wine list is great and the food tastes amazing; from apps to dessert everything is spot on and memorable. It is a new restaurant and we have found the service to be inconsistent: when its busy you may have part of your order forgotten or received the wrong food — not the end of the world and all of this is pretty quickly resolved — but none of this is unusual for a new restaurant. When it’s slow you feel like your server is your friend & you feel special: lots of conversation, attention and intuition. The reality is when the food is outstanding you can easily overlook the service hiccups. It’s hard to get the front and back of house together in a new restaurant but I’m sure in another couple months they will be in sinc.

A much needed addition to Roseville! There are very few options in the area for a high quality dining experience. So far I would put this ahead of all others I have been to but surprisingly it’s more reasonably priced. I ordered the most expensive plate on the menu I believe, which was the Ribeye for $ 55 which is a steal for the size and quality. It was perfectly prepared and came beautifully plated with sides. I will be back for that alone, but I’m also excited to try some of the other dishes on the current menu such as the house made gnocchi. A lot of the other plates were much more inexpensive so you could probably grab a bunch of small bites and get out of there fairly cheap if you’re not looking to go all out. The place is good size but not huge so I suggest reservations just in case it’s a busy night. Interior is kind of an old world European vibe, which is a nice change from the light bright feel of every other new restaurant if you’re looking for something different. Open view directly into the kitchen which I always like in nice restaurants. Service was great and staff was very friendly and helpful. I saw someone on here mention about wine tastings on Saturdays, so I’ll have to go try that out soon!

This place is aaaaamazing! We stumbled upon this great find heading to lunch, a couple suites down. We decided we wanted to extend our lunch date and get a drink at this local wine bar, which then turned into spontaneous wine tasting. They have wine tasting on Saturdays, which is at a great price for the amount of wines you get to taste, and brands. The company was warm and welcoming, very social, and generous. Our party of three felt very well taken care of by the staff and manager. We easily spent a couple hours tasting and conversing. There will be another visit in the near future, for the dinner menu. The only reason the rating is four stars is because we have yet to have dinner with them. However, if their entrees are anything like their antipasto spread, or sorbets, it will easily be a upgraded to 5 stars! Thank you so much Cibo7, for the wonderful hospitality. We felt like your special guests!
