Wow. Came here on a Monday night. Place was empty. Ordered nothing too hard. Salad, spaghetti, an appetizer and a dish of something. All small sizes. Well… 75 minutes later the 2 main dishes come out. 75MINUTES. NOONEWASTHERE! The food? Wow… talk about boring. Blah. Chicken was gamey. The cost at any other place would of been 40 tops. Here? 100 $+. Such a rip. Horrid service. Horrid food. Horrid price. Goodbye. I expect this one to close down by year’s end.

I am really surprised I have never written a review for this place… there really is not a lot to say about this place besides it is a massive chain and the Italian food is pretty average. What I have noticed over the years is their prices have seriously gone up. For a family of 4 with no ancho to eat here was $ 100 w/tip. This to me is pretty steep and not economical for a family… now the dishes and portions are very generous so you do feel you are getting your monies worth. But almost every small portion is between $ 25−28…even a salad is $ 15 – 18? Come on its lettuce and few items. The wine selection as well is not even worth it a 9oz pour is on average $ 13 a glass. Now I could see if we were at a nicer restaurant but this is a family style chain… either way it’s just a middle of the road place for me and I could make the same at home for ½ the price.

This is not a typical chain Buca di Beppo. I really wanted to go 4-stars here because we had a great time for my sisters Birthday, but not because of the restaurant. The service was pretty inattentive, and the food was only average at best. I have been much more impressed with other locations of this chain franchise. We were eight people and despite reservations we got crammed into what seemed like a small 6-person booth. I am generally pretty generous with reviews and struggled with this one, but just can’t go 4-stars. It was average, only average. Here are my issues: –The food at other locations just tastes better. I found every one of the dishes runny and soaked with watery discharge as if prepared wrong. The sauce in the lasagna was bland, very bland and watery as well. The portion size was huge on salads, but the lasagna looked very small and the wrong size as if they gave us a small when we ordered a large. I also recall how I used to really enjoy this dish at other locations and this one seemed like it was prepared by my nephew and niece and a Easy Bake kids oven; nope, no way, NOT the correct dish at all. Obviously this franchise location prepares dishes on the CHEAP. –I could not get a water the whole night, I mean I asked at least 5-times and just gave up. –We brought our own wine as well as the wines on the list were, ahh, average and Costco variety and selection at above average prices; no thank you. –The hostess was a teenager and was very difficult to understand. –Not really their fault but this parking lot is a madhouse; just bad, full, and full of angry people fighting over too few spots. –They also have done away with at this location a birthday cake or special comp’d dish for the guest of honor. We bought desserts anyhow and we would regardless, but this once sacred tradition has fell by the wayside in cut-throat corporate greed; bad form Buca. All in all, not that impressed, and will not return to this location which seems to be a trend in this area(Roseville) of bad franchise restaurants that just don’t give a hoot and it shows!

I used to like this place. The décor is fantastic. But, the prices for mediocre food are insane. I paid over $ 100 for three people to eat an appetizer, a salad, and a bowl of spaghetti. The $$ rating should be increased to $$$$. I had a more reasonable meal at Waterboy. You would do better with a box of pasta and a jar of Ragu.

Disappointed. We are not strangers to Buca di Beppo chain but this one is really a bottom one so far. Service is good so two stars. But the main course Veal Saltimbocca is overcook with subpar material. It has slightly more flavor than a Michelin tire. Fried Calamari has a lot of starch in it. I hope it’s just today’s chef.

Came in for lunch today, which I have never done in the 12 years I have been coming here. I ordered the same thing as I always do and the service by Skylar was fanrastic. I will certainly come back for his great service as well as let his manager know how well he did.

Nothing like piping cold lasagna to warm you up on a 31 degree day outside. Maybe the ovens are outside. I guess the sign was right. Air conditioning inside. Baked Rigatoni and chicken parmesan was great but still could only do one star when the service was horrible. First the server poured 10 ounces of oil on the plate and then used a eye dropper it seamed like to float the balsamic in the middle. Then we waited for 50 minutes for our cold lasagna followed by some serious confusion on how to use a gift card and cash to pay for the meal.

Not good! 20 minutes after eating I felt nauseous and starting vomiting for two days!!! Had the eggplant parmigiana and garlic bread. Yuck!

This authentic Italian atmosphere is family friendly and very spacious. The family style menu and huge portions really set this place apart. The food is good but not fantastic although this difference is made up by the friendly staff and welcoming faces. I would come back again to try the other options on the menu to see if I can add one last star to this review.

Thanksgiving at Buca — who knew? Fabulous dinner for three, family style platters of turkey(very moist white meat) sausage stuffing, whipped potatoes, green beans. And dessert! Delightful waiter. Fun atmosphere. Highly recommend it. We’ll go again!

I don’t know why my father kept insisting on ordering take-out from here. We’d already tried their spaghetti and meatballs in the past and there was ZERO taste. Nothing. We just ordered their veal parmesan to try and same thing– absolutely no taste whatsoever. And the worst part was when I found out how much he paid for it. $ 57!!! And that was w/a $ 15 coupon, so it would’ve been over $ 70! UNACCEPTABLE considering how terrible. So much for this so-called«Italian» restaurant…

If you’re looking for old world Italian atmosphere… you gotta go here! If you looking for a lot of quality food… you gotta go here! If you’re looking for someone to coordinate a business or family meeting… ask for Toni! If you’re looking for friendly and attentive service… ask for KATIE!!! We just had our Kiwanis Board of Director’s meeting in the Pope Room and what a delightful treat it was. Only hitch was trying to split a 12 person bill… probably our fault. Other than that… Una grande esperienza(Google translate it) RickyD

My partner and I eat here on a regular basis. The staff have come to know us very well. You’ll always find us dining in the kitchen, where we enjoy the company of the servers and managers. You can never go wrong with Buca! The bonus? You’re almost guaranteed to have enough leftovers to last you the entire next day!

What a great Italian restaurant. Much better than Olive Garden or Macaroni Grill! The flavor of the food is great. The atmosphere is very cute and home-y. The servers are pretty friendly. It’s better to have an appointment if you’re going in the evening. The portion sizes are big and enough to share with others. Absolutely love the spicy chicken rigatoni. The sauce is so good that eating it meatless is just as good. Also love the cheesy garlic bread and the Italian sodas. We always leave very happy when we come here. There are SO many restaurants on this street, but it’s by far one of my favorite restaurants out here.

Buca di Beppo is fun! Before even entering the door, there are kitschy signs saying«air conditioning» and other fun stuff. After entering, there is a never ending plethora of weird things on the wall and ceiling to stare it. It was my husbands birthday and so he got to pick where we were going & Buca was one of his top choices. We ordered a small pizza, baked rigatoni & mannicoti. When the food arrived, i thought the waiter accidentally ordered us the large sizes. The small servings were HUGE! My favorite was the baked rigatoni. It was perfectly done and just so yummy. My husband ordered a drink for his birthday and the waiter said it was«on the house». Whoohooo! TIP– Before you go, sign up for their birthday club online. You will get a free small pasta coupon. Also, when it is your birthday, you get a $ 20 off coupon! We definitely will be back!

The chicken plate we ordered came with no pasta and had no flavor thank goodness we ordered a salad and garlic bread so I could eat something. Worst meal I have eaten in years I’m glad McDonald’s is down the street I’m so hungry. UPDATE!!! I was phoned by the VP of Bucca di Beppo and he was very passionate about my experience he asked me to try it again and sent me a gift card. It was really nice to see they care about their customers so much, we went back and paid cash again not using the gift card and the food is what I always remembered so they did listen. Great place love the food again. Thanks Bucca di Beppo. I even ate the left overs for lunch today!!!

Love the food, décor, and portions of food at this chain(especially for larger groups)! Came here tonight with my boyfriend, parents, grandmother, and brothers. Eight of us in total. Service was attentive and fast, food was also quick and delicious, and the drink I had was really good! But here’s why I’m giving THIS location three stars: This was a late celebration for my 21st birthday w/my family, which was actually back in early September. When I ordered a drink, they asked for my ID — totally normal, no problem! But being only 21, my ID is one of those vertical cards instead of the horizontal kind. Because of this, they had to call a manager over to «verify» that my ID was real before I could order an alcoholic beverage. And the manager barely looked older than 21 himself! It was embarrassing, and frankly, stupid. My boyfriend even leaned over and said«That just means they accidentally sold alcohol to someone underage recently and now they’re trying to save their own asses». We went to the Bucca di Beppo on Howe Ave. in Sacramento recently and didn’t have this ID issue when ordering drinks. Actually, I’ve never had this issue with any dining establishment/bar since turning 21, period. Overall, Bucca as a chain gets five stars from me. Unfortunately, this ID situation left a bad taste in my mouth and I don’t really care to return because of it.

This was my first visit to Buca! It was a neat experience to see all the pictures, décor, style of the restaurant. It’s great how they are all about Family style, so this place is perfect for large groups, Friends and Families!!! Customer service was friendly and helpful, we got a great server! We ordered the Lasagna and it tasted very good. My favorite part of the meal was the Antipasti salad. Loved it, but they forgot the chopped pepperoni and our nice server brought it out to us on the side! The only reason I noticed is because I was looking at their website menu/pictures the night before. They have an awesome website! Also, they do not put Salami on the Antipasti salad anymore, I really like Salami, so that was disappointing. Overall, the salad was great and lunch was very good. I didn’t care for the bread or olive oil and balsamic vinegar. I did notice they have a nice bar area, so would be a great place to enjoy a few drinks as well. I thought it was kind of expensive prices too, but I guess it’s all worth it if you are with a lot of people or Family enjoying a big dinner. If we do come back, it would be for the atmosphere and socializing together, good customer service. I’ll have to try more foods here, I wouldn’t mind trying dessert :)
