Jade Auto Service

I can’t rate Jade on anything other than customer service and the oil change I had there about a year ago, but I left with a slightly off feeling toward the place.
I was charged roughly 6 dollars to refill the fluids in my car (washer fluid mostly). They asked «would you like the fluids filled»… which sounded pleasant, and I had never before and never since found a place that charged for washer fluid. I didn’t think to ask about charges or I would have declined.
My hood latch on my older car stopped latching just after (I’m guessing it did it in the shop, but I’m not entirely sure). I brought it back, they oiled it up free of charge. Maybe I’m spoiled by all the other awesome mechanics I’ve had… but this is something they should have done without me bringing it back. It took 2 minutes.
My oil was sparkly and my engine was happy, but I didn’t get any sort of «thanks for your money, please join us again, we have your car’s back» feeling. This is the most hit and run place I’ve been to in the Twin Cities.

I had a brake repair that couldn’t wait, and got a decent price for walk-​in service. They had the work done in an hour, gave me a discount on my oil change, and even washed the car when they were done. Thanks, guys!
