Very solid Mexican food. I love their homemade sauce that they have in the containers! Probably one of the best Mexican places around.

My best friend introduced me to Nela’s (when it was still called Eva’s) about four years ago and since then, I’ve been hooked! BEYOND AMAZING and cheap too — trust me, I know my mexican food. so so good !!!

I came here with my boyfriend, who loved the original restaurant called Eva’s … But this was disappointing. The service was the only good thing about the experience. The food wasn’t impressive. The enchilada was dried out, and tasted old. Over all just not impressed with quality. I do not recommend Nela’s Mexican Restaurant.

I was tired of paying for burritos that were small and contained more rice and beans then meat. I discovered this place and not only are the burritos very large and good but they contain a significant amount of meat and the price fair. You are getting what you paid for. you will not be disappointed, their whole menu is great!

Nela’s used to be Eva’s. Same style restaurant, same location. I believe a family member took over the business and renamed it. It is very familiar Mexican food. Good sized servings .You get bang for your buck here. Generous portions. The chips are good but I do wish they would have heated them up. The tostada salad was good and the enchilada filled with tasty cheese. Nela’s is a fixture on Vernon Street. I have walked past here a least a million times… so when I saw the name had changed I decided it was a good time to give it a try. Pretty standard menu. Lot’s of Velvet style pictures on the wall. Its a great place to take a family as they have pretty big tables and booths. Parking is not a problem as there is usually a space on the street. If you like to seek out different little places in off the beaten track areas I would suggest giving them a try. The hot salsa is excellent.
