Taqueria El Burrito

Some words of caution: you do not get the happy hour discount unless you specifically request it when ordering. They should apply the discount automatically but they do not like it’s some secret handshake. I don’t think that’s a good way of doing business. I assumed it was being discounted but I couldn’t tell because when they ring your order you can’t see the totals. When I noticed it on the receipt after I sat down it was too late. I asked them about the discount and they said sorry but didn’t offer me a price correction.

Best Mexican taqueria by far. Their servings are huge plus free salsa bar and chips. Their costumer service is excellent. Everything here is delicious but my favorites are the Carne Azada plate and their al pastor (slow roasted marinated pork) and carnitas tacos.

Finally a good mexican restaurant in Roseville. Try the wet super burrito. You won’t be disappointed.

Relatively new and a five star average? I was skeptical but after eating here, I can’t disagree. I went with a carnitas burrito and was impressed. Well layered and very flavorful. The carnitas is less crisp than some restaurants but that also meant it was not dry, which has been a problem at many roseville taquerias. Right in the running with El Sombrero for best roseville taqueria.
Downsides? the chips are nothing special but fine.

Wow. Such good food. Really easy ordering and fast. Loved the breakfast burrito and the kids loved tacos. This place is not afraid of spice. Everyone loved their meal– not easy with little kids.

Amazing! Authentic! Will be back often! Tried the tostada de ceviche, chimichanga, burrito, taco, and margarita for happy hour… Could not go wrong.

First time I visited El Burrito experience was great. However, second visit was not as good. Cashier over priced me, and food hurt my stomach. I will give it a third try in the future but as of now I give it 2 stars.

Just discovered this place a couple months ago and the food and service are excellent. We had a few Mexican restaurants that we went to regularly but this is my new favorite. Prices are the most reasonable around.

Taqueria El Burrito is located in the building which was formally our local Baja Fresh until it closed a little over a year ago. About the same time Rubio’s Fresh Mexican Grill across the street burned to the ground. We needed a quality Mexican restaurant to replace the two we lost over the past year and this taqueria fits the bill perfectly.
The food is fresh, the menu huge, and the portions won’t have you leaving the restaurant hungry. A great complimentary salsa bar with free chips that is even better than Baja Fresh. Great service, clean, with a nice new atmosphere and interior design.
Happy Hour from 3 – 6 Mon. thru Fri. offers some real bargains in both food and drinks. $ 1.25 tacos for a starter.
This is the third location to open for this small family managed chain and they have the menu and service down perfectly, knowing what the customer wants in terms of quality Mexican food.
No disappointments here, and a great addition to the small list of restaurants serving great tasting Mexican food at reasonable prices in Roseville.

This is a really yummy place!
My shredded chicken super burrito was dream worthy. My compadre complimented the carnitas lunch plate. And then we got free chips, a great assortment of self serve salsa, including cream con jalapeño.
Top it off with a jamaica drink that wasn’t half sugar.
And very friendly staff.
Perfection.

Their burritos are large, tasty and filling. The restaurant also has a well-​stocked salsa bar with lots of yummy, spicy salsas, my personal favorite being the avocado flavored one. Great staff and atmosphere as well.

This is a legit Taqueria with good food. I have tried the regular burrito and the super. Stick with the regular it’s a good value for the money at 6.50 They have a deal during the week from 3 – 6 that give you a burrito for five bucks or street tacos for a dollar fifty. Their al pastor is amazing they actually cook it the right way on a vertical roaster with pineapple on top. The salsa bar is also really good with lots of choices. The place is big and clean give it a try!

Great place! The home made Albondigas Soup is amazing. Fresh vegetables, meatballs, with rice and cilantro on the side. Truly delicious! Homemade tortillas! We have been here at least 6 times. Consistently good.
Lunch specials are a great value!!!

Strolled in around 11 am today and it was packed and after glancing at the tables there was a lot of bowls of menudo being slurped down but I was on a mission for a chorizo breakfast burrito. It came loaded with egg, potato, pinto beans and pico de gallo. Oh and it also loaded with chorizo. This baby is big and tasty but not too big that I went into a food coma but big enough that I have not yet eaten again as I type this. The chips were nice and crunchy and tasted fresh and I went all scientist and combined their hot sauce with their sour cream and jalapeño sauce to make a wonderful dip. Next level food and tv’s tuned to the football game, this place rocks.

This place has raised the bar for mexican food in Roseville. I have been here several times now and the food is amazing every time. The staff is also very friendly and helpful.

A little early for church, decided to check this place out.
WOW, not only was my safe «go to «cheese enchiladas amazing. I tried the Chile relleno. The best I had in a very very long time.
And for a taqueria they multiple varieties of salsa’s, peppers etc (more than any place I’ve been to) The woman at the register, came out to say hi and make sure everything was okay with my food.
You wont be disappointed. :)

We go to a bunch of places like this. This is one of the best mexican food places ever! It is very clean and actually smells clean when you come in. The food tastes fresh too. Not like all the meat is cooked in the morning and left in a pot until the next day. The salsa bar was clean, and all tasted well. Would recommend this place over the generic andaberto or carolina junk.

Awesome happy hour deals 3 – 6 Monday thru Friday. Friendly staff. Legit food, better than Chipotle and Baja fresh. Great beer selection and they do margaritas. No brainer.

My Girlfriend and I were just in the area weren’t craving anything in particular we walked in this place and was surprised at the size of the menu. I got the super torta and it was amazing it melted in my mouth every bite I took into it. And my girlfriend got the super nachos and she was happy.
The restaurant was clean and the staff was super nice and helpful. They had 3 big TVs and they had the game on. Over all if you want and authentic Mexican food I recommend it!!!

My husband and I have been here three times since they opened; so we obviously like it since there are a million restaurants in Roseville give or take. Perfect place to catch a meal before a movie or score some take out on a don’t-feel-like-cooking night. The wine margaritas are surprisingly good, and after making the mistake of each ordering our own the first time (they’re muy grande) we now split one. Last night our tab was under $ 25 for two meals and a drink!
We’ve got our food orders down to a science. I always order the carne asada plate sans rice and tortilla and Mr. T. gets the super ground beef taco with the guacamole on the side for me. Smart of me to marry a man who doesn’t like avocado, right?
I still miss Rubio’s across the street, which is nothing but rubble now. But this new place is a way better deal than Chevy’s, and you don’t have to stop talking every time someone has a birthday.
