Best dive bar ever! plenty of local people getting hammered while smoking inside the bar!

The place itself is cute and easy to get to. It’s cute and small, definitely hole in the wall place. The bartender is nice enough, sort of pushy to get a drink. It is Bring Your Own Bottle meaning liquor, not beer. Overall, it’s a cute place to come hang out with your friends if you are looking for a quiet bar to be at that’s in the area.

The service is great and there’s a general welcome family feeling here. It’s very biker friendly but you won’t be shunned if you don’t ride. We played pool and had some drinks and we loved it! The prices are GREAT, I think our tab was $ 12 for 6 or 8 drinks. Something like that. The bartender(Amanda I think was her name) actually introduced herself when we came in and left the bar to come check on us. I’m thinking we’ll go back tonight. :-)

My neighbors have been coming here for the longest and I had never joined ten until last night. We got there after two hours at Gringos, so we were pretty much in the mood to party. I walked in and was carded right away, I take that as a ‘complement’, then scanned the joint. Now it’s not the place I would normally go but I’m adventurous and like to try new things. There are jukebox, pool table, you can play darts, you can smoke inside(don’t care much for this), nice patio area, country folks looking at us like we were outsiders, but they were nice, soon we took over the jukebox, and the dance floor, and at times our choice of music took them by surprise leading to puzzled looks. Ambiance: pretty laid back, relaxed. Crowd: locals who frequently go to the place and know each other, newcomers welcomed. Staff:friendly, flirty, helpful and engaging. Overall: a nice country joint in the city, the perfect little getaway when you want to breakaway from the monotony of other places.

I love this bar… been coming here about 6 years now. It has everything you need in a bar… internet jukebox, pool tables, darts, golf and bowling game, and horseshoes outside. Seating indoor and out and it is BYO Bottle… its an icehouse… not a huge selection of beers, but they are always ice cold and they have your typical ones. They have dart tournament tuesdays and karoake Thursdays. By the directions shown on Unilocal you will wont find it, but if you know where kingsley street in Shadow Creek Ranch is you will be able to… cross over from Kingsley over 518 and its a mile down the road on your right. If you read this before Saturday, they are having a crawfish boil starting around 1pm.

Went here with a group of friends. It’s definitely a small town place that has its own crowd so we felt a bit out of place but we outnumbered them so that made it better. They only have beer and some bottled drinks like Smirnoff. It’s clean, though and they have indoor and outdoor seating with pool tables etc.

my favorite local dive… super chill and relaxing… comfy bar, internet jukebox, pool tables… i’ve met somebody interesting to spend my evening chatting to every time i’m there and i love the bartenders… well the ones i’ve met… laid back girls with good senses of humor… Bringing me a new cold beer right when i finish the last one… what service! the parking lot can get a bit full… i recommend taking as few cars as possible if you’re going with a group.

Greatest dive bar in Houston area! Great mix of patrons and a comforting feeling that you can come as you are with no judging. Cheap beer, excellent bartenders, tv’s and pool tables. They have an awesome deck in the back when you want to just sit outside and enjoy both your beer and the weather. I personally like that they offer setups if you aren’t in the mood for beer and the cheapest buckets of beer when you are. Great place!

I start this year off with a new discovery… that discovery is JP McNastys, mistakenly called PJ McNasty’s about 42 times last night. It’s every spot that I’ve ever loved. BYO, huge outdoor area, jukebox with great songs, darts, pool tables and FREE champagne for NYork NYE. I mean the name alone is genius — McNastys just rolls off the tongue. We rolled up in that bizness with a handle of vodka and some drinking to do. Thankfully, they obliged. My total NYE tab? $ 6. How is that humanly possible? It was just a dollar for diet cokes set ups. AND they had free snacks. Meat and cheese tray, black eyed peas, ham and everyones fave, lil smokies. If I lived in the Pearland area, I’d start a series of PJ meetups on Sundays where we went to JPs, in our PJs, drank bloody marys and played cards all day to rid ourselves of hangovers and inhibitions. Note: You guys should start chicken sh*t bingo. For serious. See Ginnys in Austin.

The name says it all. A laid back no frills drinkery. Beer and setups only, but you can bring in your own bottle. Sometimes TABC is a good thing. Great jukebox, a decent amount of televisions, two pool tables, out back patio, and good people. It’s a blue collar hang out with a mix of the suburban 30 somethings reliving college days in shady bars. Buckets of beer are cheap compared to most places I’ve been to in the Houston area and some times you get an extra beer or two. I’ve never had a bad time there. This isn’t a faux dive, it’s just a dive and a damn good one at that.
