The best steakhouse on LI if not all of NY. I have been coming to B&C for many years– and have never been disappointed Salads are great-clams fresh and the best crabcake I have ever had! The sides are all excellent but the steaks are the best I have ever had-cooked perfectly to order. The Poll brothers have the midas touch in restaurants-this is their crown jewel.

So I heard so much about this place I took quite a ride to check it out. First the good, the asparagus was very fresh & flavorful & the Hollandaise sauce was excellent. The restaurant had a very local flare. Now the bad, the restaurant had too much local flare, unless you enjoy fake wise guys cursing at the bar. I ordered a Colorado rib eye rare plus. I would say it came out medium & was quite tough for a 59 dollar steak. I don’t know maybe I just hit them on a bad night but for those steakhouse prices I don’t want a bad night.

The service was excellent. My boyfriend and I arrived an hour early to our reservation yet we were seating right away. We were greeted multiple times as we arrived at the table and they made sure we understood the menur and specials. The food came out nicely. The fries we ordered were so crispy i nearly broke a tooth trying to eat them so I wouldn’t recommend those. I would return.

Started off my night right with a great dining experience. We had a reservation for 8:30 but arrived an hour early, got seated immediately even with the limited tables they have. Our server was pleasant and never did we have to ask once for new utensils or water refills, that’s great service. We ordered a porterhouse for 2 and it was cooked perfecly to our liking. The oysters that we started off with were really fresh and sandless, worth the money for half a dozen. If you’re going to order any side dishes, the creamed spinach is highly recommended, very rich in taste and by far the best i’ve had considering every steakhouse i’ve been to. Although, don’t get the hashbrowns. It was so overcooked that I thought my teeth was going to chip biting into it.

Decent upscale steakhouse. Nothing out of the ordinary for an establishment in this genre, but the $ 3 charge valet parking — in their own lot??? Gimme’ a break! Lugers, Mortons both a couple of minutes away have complimentary valet parking. After all, you’re steak is $ 50(before the sides, cocktails, and dessert). I’m thinking they could Absorb the $ 3 «administrative» fee without it denting their bottom line.

We had a great meal here. It doesn’t come cheap, but great steak shouldn’t. It’s the full steakhouse experience, including the waiters, great bread, great sides and great meat, perfectly cooked. We also enjoyed people watching the crème de la crème of Nassau County society dining here ;) Atmosphere is a little dated in a good way. Only negative was the cocktails were meh… but I’ve gotten spoiled with fancy cocktail bars. We had old fashions and they weren’t exciting, but perfectly serviceable. Their wines by the glass were very good. Reservations are usually a must, but we scored a last minute 8 pm rezzie on a Saturday night calling ahead 20 minutes.

I first approached the steakhouse and it was very cool to see the meat market next door. Got me excited. Then entering the place you could see all the locals that love and regularly go to B&C. When I first ordered my drink the bartender was cold and slightly rude. They didn’t have the whisky I wanted and he didn’t want to spend more than 5 seconds dealing with me. NOWONTOTHEFOOD. I ordered the Colorado steak or bone in rib eye. It came out and was extremely underwhelming. Fatty through and through and had 0 taste. Lucky for me, my family ordered the porterhouse steak for two. This too had no taste. Was under cooked and had no juices to enjoy similar to the lugar experience. I have been to every steakhouse within a 20 mile radius including NYC and I was extremely disappointed to have my 26th birthday there.

I ate here last Friday and was underwhelmed by my entire experience. To start with the positives, the valet were incredibly hospitable and accommodating. However, upon entering the establishment, I was disappointed. When asking for the bartenders suggestion he didn’t have any as if I should know what I wanted to drink. Then we were ushered into the dining room of a steakhouse, with no aroma of steak ANYWHERE. What is that?!? We ordered our meal. One steak was not cooked to our specifications and when we said something the waiter said, «what, you want me to give you a new steak?» As if we were in our mothers kitchen and she was annoyed by her snobby children. The other steak was so fatty and disgusting. Both steaks didn’t sizzle, something that’s a signature for steakhouses. Overall thumbs down.

I’ve been coming to Bryant and coopers for a very long time. They have always been consistent in their quality and service. I’ve eaten a lot of steak in my days all over this country, and I can honestly say that Bryant and Cooper’s porterhouse is tied for first place with Peter Luger’s! What makes Bryant and Cooper’s better than Luger’s is the other items in their menu. From the seafood to the sides, everything is consistently amazing, fresh, delicious, and phenomenal! I would go so far as to say Bryant and Cooper’s is one of the best overall dining experiences I have experienced world wide!

Burt Young sat at the table next to mine. Was cool to meet him. Like Peter Luger better.

Been to many steakhouses & this is definitely up there with the best. Somewhat small, yet very nice upscale place. Can get crowded with little space to move around & can get a bit loud due to the close proximity of the patrons, but overall experience was great. Had the porterhouse steak with creamed mash potatoes & spinach, which was fantastic. They also have a nice little market next to the restaurant for fresh meat & other take out/home food. Staff was friendly & hospitable.

Average at best. Porter house for two was good but no where near great. When you pay these prices for steak you expect it to be exceptional. Creamed spinach and home fries were amazing some of the best I’ve had but the steak just didn’t do it for me. Won’t be going back here anytime soon.

Went to Bryant and Cooper for my moms birthday and for dessert they gave her a ½ scoop of vanilla ice cream with a candle in it… the bill was $ 500. #classless

Food was unbelievable ! I went there for a big meal with 15 people. Every dish I ordered was incredible ! From steak to sesame tuna to key lime pie The only thing I don’t know — too crowded Tables are relatively small and everyone was talking loud — feel like I m at a local Diner than a $$$$ steakhouse

Been to B&C many times over the years. Always good and never disappoints. Their steak has become the high bar that I use to judge all others, and few can live up. Our mainstays are the B&C salad, Cajun rib eye, porterhouse, sesame crusted tuna and banana cream pie to finish. The ambiance is nondescript and typical of the traditional steakhouse ala Lugars, the tables are very close to each other, and it often quite loud; but the experience is all about the food. Come if you want an excellent meal and you will not be disappointed.

I was brought here being told that«it’s one of my favorite steakhouses» and«I’ve been coming here as a child» and«it’s up there with Lugers». Hearing this from a person who knows steak, I figured, alright, let me Unilocal it. The Unilocal reviews brought my expectations to a normal level. Otherwise I’d have been sorely disappointed. Because maybe that stuff was true when he was a kid, it’s not true nowadays. So just an average amount of disappointment in this review. My favorite part of the meal were the potatoes. Potatoes being the highlight at a dry aged steakhouse? Something ain’t right. This place is nowhere near Lugers and St. Anselm, which in my humble opinion are two of the best steak places in NYC. The medium steak was pretty rare. It had no favor. Yes dry aged steaks don’t need much, but a little salt and butter perhaps? Nope, it was undercooked and bland. The spinach was ok, nothing special. The service was good, which is why I’m giving it three stars, otherwise it would be a solid two. The servers were cool and funny. The food is definitely not worth the prices we paid. I have no desire to go back.

I can honestly say that Bryant & Cooper is «the best» steakhouse I’ve ever been to. I’ve been going to Bryant & Cooper for many years now. Every time I go the food is consistent and excellent! I always order the porter house and share with however many people I’m at dinner with. The mashed potatoes are also a must. They always have great vegetables as well, but I usually prefer to order the creamed spinach. Another great side I tend to order when visiting is the fried onions. They really are amazing. The Bryant & Cooper market is the best! I actually tend to take out from the market more than I eat in the restaurant. I usually always take out the three sides I mentioned above. I’ve been to many other steakhouses on Long Island and in Manhattan, but I still believe that Bryant & Cooper is the best! It’s definitely pricey, but that’s any steakhouse you go to these days in the area. You won’t be disappointed!

If money is your problem, you’ll never get this place. I see lots of dumb ass people enamored by crappy food in LED lit disco style restaurants. It ain’t flashy, it’s not fancy… it’s just old school quality. Lots of rich people cars in the lot outside but ya don’t need to be a rich man to eat here. Just buy a few less Starbucks cappuccinos and put the green aside for a real piece of meat and a cocktail. A tremendous value if you know what the word«quality» means. The banana cream pie is amazing too. Check it out…

I am a fan depending on the night. The service is good but I have had to come face to face with some temperamental waiters, but that is only because I am pretty precise on how I want something prepared. If you eat out as often as I do, you start to be careful about the butters, oils, sodium and carbs… The steak always seems to be awesome as the carnivores delight in this place. I myself love the veggies here and they will whip up a platter for your to your specs. Ramiro is great, along with the other waitstaff, but we have a running argument about what constitutes a Caprese Salad, which is hearty and delicious here. One word about the adjacent butcher, check your meat carefully. I once bought a cut for my boyfriend and ended up tossing out half of it due to mold… yes mold on the aged steak… No excuse. Boisterous, noisy and gregarious, this place is a regular spot for the long island crowd and you are certain to run into many of your friends and even the mayor every once in a while. Lively bar scene too, which always seems like a party is going on.

So… I felt like I was tricked by my friend to wear dressy clothes for some amazing steak dinner. Long story short… he tricked me twice! My party of four arrived here around 5:30PM for an early Saturday dinner. We were seated. We ordered two Porterhouse steaks for two. My two best friends shared the medium-rare, therefore, my boyfriend and I shared medium. We also ordered Fried French Onions and Creamed Spinach as our side dishes. The Porterhouse steaks were very mediocre. It was not bad but just not great at all neither. I felt like I have better steak in the city for a much better price and better experience. It was indeed a very thick piece of steak, however, it was not outstanding to me, in fact very bland. If I have to add any seasoning or sauce to any steak, it simply tells me it was not that great afterall. My friends commented that their medium-rare steak was overcooked and unfortunately, they did not like it too much neither. Creamed Spinach. This was the saving grace of my dinner at Bryant & Cooper. It was very good and very flavorful! I enjoyed it so much that I stopped eating the steak and just finishing up this side dish with the bread! It was not too mashed up and I can still taste the fresh spinach and cream! French Fried Onion. Don’t waste your money on this side. It’s basically a very greasy side dish of deep-fried onions and potato chips. Crème Brulee was very average. Nothing outstanding, neither. The sugar crust was too burnt and was hard for my spoon to break through without effort. Service: What? There was service? Aside from taking orders and asking for the check, I did not remember even once the waiter come to check on us. My party did not get the welcoming speech or any extra attention compared to the table next to us… hmms… The décor of this steakhouse looks like a very classic relative’s house you see in movies. Paintings and bottles of alcohol everywhere. It does give me a warm fussy, family house feeling when I walked in. I was very impressed with the interior designs and the restaurant’s shop. Overall, steak was alright but the Creamed Spinach is to die for! I would say Bryant & Cooper is not worth what you’re paying for.
