A locals recommendation for breakfast on our get away day. Kitschy cowboy themed hole in the wall on 2nd Ave in and amongst some light industrial use area going out of town. Rustic ranch house interior. Fairly bustling with customers. There’s a small counter and limited seating area. Breakfast was great. Valentine Strawberry shortcake on the house for the female customers. Hearty portions at a small price. Sounds like they maybe opening another location from the talk we overheard? Diners, drive-ins and Dives should visit this place. Eat here. Nothing fancy, just good ol’ diner food. But, it’s great.

This place is amazing! Even though the place was packed and the staff was swamped, the staff still took great care of everybody! And the food, wowzers! The first time I got a humongous smothered burrito! Fantstic! This time, I got an alien omelet(ham and cheese) that was smothered in green chile, melted cheese and an egg sunny side up! An egg, on top of an omelet! Mind blown! Hash browns were delightful and the toast was perfect! The only negative is that they are not open past 2:00 pm. Other than that, this is my new favorite place to go in Roswell!

Great waitresses, but that doesn’t make up for sub par food. Eggs were cold and the gravy that everyone raves about just tastes like flour.

Oh my gosh food came out so slow. I think we were there a good 30 mins after we ordered before our food came out. It was… eh. The hash browns were soggy, the eggs were mediocre, and the biscuits and gravy were cold and flavorless. Growing up in the Deep South, terrible biscuits and gravy are unforgivable. So if I’m ever back in this town, this place is a hard pass for me. The service at least was okay.

So far so good. Parking lot full, good sign. Walk in to a cute diner, corrogated tin for the counter with tractor seats for stools. Cowboy music in the background and great friendly service. I admit I still like to be called darlin’ by the waitresses. Owner walking around in a cowboy hat and coffee cups checking on everybody. Small and quaint the atmosphere is perfect. Food ordered and on my table lickidy split. Three eggs, hb, bacon and rye toast. Asked for crispy hbs but got extra crispy bacon instead. No biggy mix in the egg yolk and all good. Overall service great, atmosphere just what I was looking for, food good not great but quality. Overall 4 stars and definately would become a regular if I move here. Only suggestion is this should be 2 dollar signs v. 1 at least for the breakfast menu

So glad I chose to go here for breakfast. Great friendly local place. Waitress(Sloane) was very personable. I sat at the bar and talked to some great local people who have me a list of places to see and go eat. Food and coffee was good. Would go back in a heartbeat if I’m ever passing thru Roswell.

I really felt like I was at home the hash browns were way under cooked the sausage was way over cooked the pancake was rubbery and over easy was more like over raw and at the end of it they took my money wow it really was a home cooked meal.

Madux and his great staff keep the comfort food coming! Huge biscuits, Jalapeño bacon and more for breakfast. Large portions of home-style foods for lunch. And every day there’s a lunch«Blue Plate» special. Check them out on Tuesdays for great barbecue and get a slice of their pies or cakes — if you can. Friendly and attentive wait staff as well!

Misty was the BEST! So sweet & I noticed a genuine smile on her face with all whom she served! We bought a mug & a shirt! Also the salsa is homemade! Not too spicy but just right! Just like Goldilocks would have it!!! We bought some salsa to go…

Chicken fried chicken, mashed potatoes, canned corn, lettuce bowl and cornbread. The three stars are for the waitress and not the food.

Went here for breakfast while staying in Roswell and was very pleasantly surprised. It is a smaller business than any chain places so it feels more friendly and personal. Sloane was our waitress, very funny, very nice(which in this day and age is a rarity) Food was delicious and prices were normal for a smaller business.

This is the kinda place where it’s family run and owned and they really treat all their guests like family. Our server was simply amazing and super on top of things. I think what I really liked best about this place was that it really had a cowboy western feel. The patriarch,(I think) in addition to wearing a cowboy hat, was going around talking to his patrons, something you don’t see very often in small locally owned restaurants. I think one thing that stuck out about my meal was the biscuit. Sweet baby Jesus, that was a biscuit to remember. It was huge, fluffy, and so good, you didn’t need gravy or anything on it. If you’re passing though Roswell and need breakfast, this is your place!

Quirky lil local joint that is funky and weird and quaint, which is fitting for Roswell! I was driving from Ft Stockton to ABQ and decided to adventure through Roswell. I was starving and looking for a bfast place and this one was highly rated on Unilocal with funny commentary as to the quirky character of the place. I figured why not, though I had a little trepidation from some of the other reviews stating this place was a local stomping ground and they were territorial to «outsiders». To be fair, the place from the outside looks sketchy as hell, but if you can get over that, you are in for a treat! I have to concur that this is definitely where the locals go, but it was not a creepy, squinty-eyed spittoon ready glare that I was greeted with. The place was packed when I walked in just after 11am on a Sat. morn and the gal that greeted me was super nice. I waited seated next to a lady, who turned out to be a regular, and she helped us grab some seats at the counter, which I am glad that’s where I ended up sitting because man, you are in the middle of all the action! All the waitresses work together, so you really never have to wait for service unless you aren’t willing to open your mouth. Everyone was just sweet as pie and I never saw the bottom of my coffee cup! There are dollar bills(and various other foreign currencies) adorning the ceiling and walls and it is kind of «tradition» that started to benefit a local orphanage. People sign the dollar bills or put some sort of message on them and up the go! As for the food, it was pretty decent, but definitely of the small town diner variety, which for this place is just perfect! I had a bacon and cheese omelet with the biscuits and gravy and neither disappointed! I also recommend venturing to the restroom, if for nothing more than to see the murals… an experience in and of itself! I am sad to report, however, I did not see an «actual» cowboy during my visit. Mayhaps next time my dream of getting verbally assaulted by a cowboy reciting the Pace Picante commercial verbatim will come true. But, on this visit anyway, I was content to have made some new Roswellian acquaintences and having one of the more enjoyable«local yokle» breakfast experiences in recent memory!
