Late breakfast /lunch for a group of four. For start we order 2 Café Au Lait Latte, 1 Orange Juice, 3 Croque Mademoiselle, 1 Soup of The Day, 1 French Roast Coffee, 2 Hash Brown A la Franca, Chicken Melt with Brie & Caesar Salad on the side. Now the Croque Mademoiselle were Delicious & my open Chicken Melt was Unbelievable, especially with the melted Brie Cheese in it. Must try with the Brie Cheese; do not other it with the other selection of cheese… Now for the service it took some time; for me that means your food is been made & is not prepare & then heated up. Must try the Hash Brown A La Franca… Delicious too. Well until the next time that we will return to this Establishment & I will refresh the review.

I got the vanilla éclair and the fruit tart to go. They were good, nothing special. I had higher hopes. The tart’s crust was a bit thick for my liking and not flakey. The people behind the counter weren’t all that friendly. Maybe it was because it was before 8:00 am. From the menu, it’s worth another shot. Hope I’m not disappointed.

Had lunch with a girlfriend. Ordered the beef bourgenoin, as did my friend. It arrived in a cereal type bowl with high sides. It was a grey, gelatinous glob in the bowl. There were 4 pieces of tough stringy meat, some flavorless sliced mushrooms. There were some mushy onion pieces. This dish had absolutely no flavor, and the texture was of an overly thickened commercial sauce. On the plate were 5 thin slices of baguette, soft on the inside with crispy crust and a nice flavor. But the French serve their bread in hunks, to be torn, and dipped in what should have been the rich brown broth of this dish. Really awful. The apple pastry was tender with good flavor and the crème broulee was passable. There will be no next time.

I really love this place, cute, quaint, and also yummy! Try not to come too much with my addiction to chocolate eclairs! Love!

Great spot for breakfast in Roswell. The coffee is great and the food was delicious. The kids loved the crepes and ate them too fast for me to even get a photo! We ordered some pastries which were amazing and I built my own vegetable omelette. I would go back here for breakfast or lunch, it’s a cozy atmosphere with nice people and good food.

My new favorite spot for breakfast in Roswell. The food is delicious and the atmosphere is very good. No loud music — just a backdrop featuring snippets of chatter. It has taken me almost 2 years to stop and try this little place. It’s a very cute eatery and the building appears to have been a private residence at one time. The location and parking are the major detractors. If the parking lot is full then expect the same in the restaurant. Very good Crepes. Fresh and tasty salads and delicious baked goods

Always a great experience, Croque Monsieur, Almond Croissants and terrific coffee and tea with the best desserts thereafter. Love everything here and always a great experience, even when I bring 3 or 4 King German Shepherds(200 lbs) with me on the outside dinning they bring extras for the furballs to enjoy. My only regret is that I can go on weekends since both locations are out of the work route for me to savor so. If you are looking for an incredible first date place where you want to really talk to someone and get to know them, this is the place and even better when your date is furry and never bugs you for a credit card #(TRUE Loyalty — HINT!). Other things of pure joy, the Salmon Pannini, the French Toast, crème brule, macaroons, breads the BEIGNETS!!! Your only option is to try them all and put in your own two cents, but this place helps me to forget that outside of Paris there is such a wonderful country style in France before it is lost…

The eggs ratatouille completely exceeded my expectations. I added the marinated chicken and had the hashbrown with it and it was a fantastic meal! I highly recommend this dish. My date had the panini poulet with a green salad and loved it. The dessert counter is dangerous. We took home macaroons(chocolate, pistachio, and salted caramel), crème brûlée, lemon bar, a brownie with a raspberry filling, and some croissants. There were all very good and I recommend the macaroons — best I have had in a very long time, the lemon bar was a great balance of sugar. The crème brûlée was actually a little more crust than I prefer but still very good. The croissants were amazing and I wish I had picked up some more! The service was good, the food came out very quickly, and was served at the perfect temperature. The restaurant was simple and clean and the exterior doesn’t do the food justice. Will be back! FYI– they do not accept AMEX.

I love Paris and this is closest to Paris I can get in Alpharetta. their food is great and desserts are finely made. i came with a group of people and everyone’s dish was good. Its a cute place to hang out and feel like you are in a café in Paris. I highly suggest the desserts, I did not try the macaroons as nothing can be as good as the ones in Paris. Weekend the wait can be crazy so be ready to wait!

As usual I was in the mood for some French macarons and I came across Douceur de France on Unilocal and decided to check it out. I came in and a Saturday around 12 noon and it was jammed packed with people, took me about 15 to pick up a sleeve of 8 French macarons for about $ 15. The macaron are large and don’t skimp on the filling. The texture is chewy and decadent. My favorites were the raspberry and the vanilla. Vanilla had an almost fluffy icing with specks of vanilla bean. The parking lot out back can be a little tight so be mindful while leaving. I had to leave out the entrance because someone parked inconsiderately. Over all great French macarons!

One of the eureka moments of French patisserie, the humble yet brilliant«flan patissier», gets a proper rendition here. Sort of like a more solid crême brûlée, without caramel, just the plain rich goodness of milk, eggs and sugar, firmed up enough to hold together in a pudding like consistency as part of a cake. Silky. The«confiture de l’amour» loses something of Gallic romance when translated to «love jam», and yet you will definitely get your groove on when you spread this mix of apples, red fruits and rose on some of this house’s toasted brioche.

Excellent lunch spot in Roswell. My big bowl of ratatouille was stellar, and I appreciate the extra care in the kids meal options too(lovely grilled cheese with a side of strawberries and sliced grapes) – a bonus for my toddler foodie! We’ll be back for sure!

Un accueil chaleureux, de très bons produits français et américains, un service excellent. J’ai goûté la chicken pot pie, un délice. L’éclair au chocolat que j’ai pris en dessert m’a beaucoup plu aussi. Bravo Chef Luc !

This is a super cute breakfast place that’s clearly somebody’s labor of love. I will therefore cut it some slack on the food, which while fine, was nothing special. We came for brunch & I had smoked salmon eggs benedict. The eggs were perfectly poached, and the hollandaise sauce was good. Solid food, nothing particularly inventive. I will say that the coffee was pretty horrible, weak and burnt tasting. Some room for improvement there.

Everything tastes so yummy! I had chicken pot pie and crêpe. They taste fresh and delicious. Chicken pot pie is a must-order. Coffee was good too. Just wished the service was a little bit more attentive for coffee and water refill. But they were busy. The bakery section is too good to pass on. So many selections like macroons, cookies, cakes, tarts… Can you guys open an ITP location? ;P

Really good French food! They have a stocked bakery too… makes you want to just melt. Macaroons, croissants, chocolates, oh my! I’ve had their quiches(lorraine and florentine) and their ham and cheese. Both delish!

This little french place has huge ‘Bonjour!’ signs off Hwy 9. You can’t miss it. It’s situated in a little house off the highway and has a charming french staff and a wide selection of french food. I can’t say much for the entire menu because the only thing I really want and always get is their version of the chicken pot pie: the Tourte au Poulet. It’s not quite the traditional chicken pot pie but I’m glad it’s not! It’s a beautiful, flaky, large, and delicious. The filling has a generous amount of both chicken and mushrooms and the thickness is perfect. They offer an extra serving of sauce for extra and it’s completely worth doing. There is a wide selection of desserts and treats displayed in their pastry windows and shelves and their coffee isn’t bad at all. Service was fast, waiters were attentive and the food was wonderful.

This place is great for breakfast. Right down the road from where we live so the wifey and I typically go in at least once a month on a Sat morning. The crepes are awesome, service is great and the staff is very friendly. Definitely grab some little snacks for the road too, the eclairs are delicious!!!

ALLOFFRANCEISWEEPINGTODAY! AND I AMUNDONE! Okay, It is birthday weekend and expectations are high because this is my first trip to this particular bakery. We arrive at the bakery just after 7:30 to get the best selection. The selection is very limited and nothing looks as good as that other bakery I visited the other day. HMMMMM I’ve come all this way so I feel obligated to order something. I order two blueberry pastries and my husband gets the chocolate and pear danish. We take it to go and I’m so excited that I tear into it as soon as I get into the car. I start chewing and chewing and chewing. This is the toughest pastry I have ever eaten. It is just tragic. The top of the pastry was just barely tolerable, but the bottom was like eating fabric. Very weird and inedible. Please get the heavy handed biscuit maker out of the kitchen! I have never in my life had to toss out a french pastry. It goes against everything that is decent and right with the world. Unfortunately there is a first time for everything and this was the time. As I stated, the pastry was really inedible and not at all characteristic of french pastry. The perfect French pastry,(Sweet Tentations) is soft and delicate and simply melts in your mouth and chewing is an option. The dough would never be overworked to the point of toughness,(someone worked this pastry like it was a southern biscuit). The fruit should be fresh, delicious and fully intact. This was not. My husband’s pastry was soggy from the pear and overwhelmed by the strong taste of a dark bitter-sweet chocolate. Ewww. Obviously, this restaurant is NOT recommended.

After getting off to a rocky start, this little French bistro and bakery has turned into a dynamo. Their pastries and confections alone are worth the price of a meal and yet; for delicious, freshly-made French cuisine, the prices are very fair. The menu has a great range with some classical French items as well as some more domestic dishes. I particularly like the beef bourguignon and my girlfriend loves the croque madam. Their specials are always great too. I often just ask for the quiche du jour. As far as the sweets, you can close your eyes and point to the case without going wrong. The pastries are some of the finest I’ve ever tasted and they’re always prepared fresh with master craftsmanship. I bought a king cake for Fat Tuesday and it was so wonderful. Sometimes, I just take croissants to go for breakfast, but I hate skipping out on their crepes. They’re delicious too. If it sounds like I’m gushing, it’s because I am. If I’m forced to point to anything that displeases me, I would caution against going on Saturday. They tend to be really busy all day. I just wish they were open at night because I frequently find myself longing for their food at dinner time. If you haven’t been, go. Go now. You will not regret it.

Douceur de France: Frumpy, drab old-world café with average food. Naturally, with a description like that, you can expect a clientele that makes you second guess whether or not you accidentally stumbled into a retirement home. I’m amazed that I didn’t notice any doilies… this place felt like it should’ve had doilies. I ordered the Quiche Lorraine and a cup of Tomato-Basil Soup. My wife ordered the Chicken Pot Pie. My quiche filled with ham, bacon, and swiss cheese was entirely average… like something that could’ve easily been whipped up in any average home cook’s kitchen. It wasn’t «bad», but it wasn’t anything special either. I will give props to the tomato-basil soup. It was creamy, but not overly rich. Just right. My wife also described her Chicken Pot Pie as «average»… just a few notches above what could be found in the freezer section at your local grocery store. For dessert, we ordered an assortment of 4 macarons(lemon, pistachio, salted caramel, and raspberry). The macarons were too dense and chewy, rather than the light and airy well-executed macarons that we have had elsewhere. Average. At least they know that their food is average, as it was priced accordingly. Though the 2-star Unilocal rating description of «Meh. I’ve experienced better» feels like an appropriate statement to make about my experience at Douceur de France, I don’t have the heart to give them 2-stars, only because nothing that I experienced was«bad» and our young waiter was definitely busting his butt off to take care of all his tables. 3-stars feels about right. For French café cuisine at the same price-point, I’d opt to go to La Madeleine instead.
