Dr. Hecht is a straight shooter. His pet peeve is healthy living, diet and exercise.
He is medically knowledgeable. When I ask why that med or treatment, he always takes the time to explain his reasoning. He doesn’t sugar coat his opinion, but you get the good and the bad diagnoses. He is a good fit for patients that are invested in their health and like frank discussions with their Doctor.

I’ve been going to the same doctor for about six years. I really like the office staff and nurse. I wish they didn’t put you in the room so early. Today I was in there for about 40 minutes with nothing to read. When Dr. Hecht finally came into the room, he did apologize. I would suggest bringing a book if you visit. Dr. Hecht is very thorough. I don’t find him rude or condescending. He is direct.
One thing I do NOT like is that after my blood work results came back I spoke with the office manager, NOT the Doctor. I had some things on my results that I was concerned about and didn’t feel like the office manager was the best person to give me the right answers.

Dr. Hecht is very direct and doesn’t mince words, so you may call this rude. I appreciate his frankness and he KNOWS me by name. His staff is GREAT, by the way. I have been his patient for over 10 years and would not consider switching. If you’re looking for an honest doctor that knows his stuff and a staff that treats you like a human, he’s your man.

The office staff and nurse are great. They are super nice and friendly. However, this doctor was rude and condescending and doesn’t know how to talk to patients.
If I can say something good about it, he is thorough. If that’s all you ask for in a doctor then I’m sure its a fine fit but I ask for a doctor who also listens and is friendly.

I have been visiting the same doctor for 8 ½ years. He is wonderful! If you have a bump… he finds it. He’s very honest and to the point. The receptionist (Dee) is amazing! She’s always super polite and fun to be around. If you’re looking for a doctor that is dedicated and honest, go to him!
