We went in on a Sunday and since it was the weekend of the«snowstorm» it wasn’t terribly busy yet. Our server was Cole and not only was he friendly but you could tell that he genuinely wanted to make sure that his guests were taken care of. He wasn’t fake and was incredibly nice. A very pleasant change from some of the other restaurants we have encountered. The food is always good and what you would expect from a breakfast place. The manager was extremely nice, we had a pleasant conversation with him about how good his server really was and he seemed to appreciate the positive feedback. Will be back for breakfast soon!

I ordered a BLTE and I was disappointed they use the word bacon. It was served with 2 small pieces of bacon. All I tasted was the cheese and lettuce. I hope the rest of their menu does not reflect other food quality short cuts.

This place totally reminds me of the Good Egg in Arizona. It is styled to be a neighborhood spot for breakfast and lunch. Light, bright hues will pick you up in a hurry. It looks and feels so happy and friendly. Apparently, this is a fairly well-established local chain. They’ve been around in Georgia since 1997. This particular location is pretty sweet. They have an adorable outdoor patio in the front, huge family-sized booths(that could easily seat eight), a cozy bar area and high top tables. The menu is quite extensive: skillets, waffles, pancakes, parfait, oatmeal, crepes, eggs Benedict(yay!) omelets, sandwiches, burgers, salads, and more. They also have healthy option add-ins and substitutes, and also a menu for the little ones. I went with the Christopher Benedict. Considering my last run in with eggs Benedict was an epic fail(the hollandaise really should not be a thick slop and in a fluorescent orange color), I was ready — so very ready — to be impressed. Thank you Christopher’s for coming through! The Christopher Benedict takes its queues from the traditional Benedict, but served with tomatoes and bacon. Yum, yes. I ordered it with a side of cheesy grits, which were decadent. Very lovely. They also have a holiday-themed menu in the fall with pumpkin Pancakes, gingerbread waffles, pumpkin spice lattes and egg nog cappuccinos, among other treats. Also, the restaurant regularly supports local and national organizations with fundraising drives. Would like to see a greater diversification of organizations supported but, whatevs. It’s a good sign that this is a caring company.

I enjoy breakfast and when it was suggested we try J Christopher’s I was game. Eggs Benedict is one of my favorites so I ordered it with no hesitation. I was disappointed when the meal arrived and the eggs were poached way too long. Everything else was good but, hard poached eggs Eggs Benedict do not make. The quality of food was good, service was great and the waitstaff was professional and friendly.

I had the chef’s salad with some dried out chicken, and my companion had the eggs Benedict, which was just ok. What really bugged me was that when I asked silent Carlos for for freshly ground pepper, he silently picked up the pepper shaker from its spot on our table and put it down in front of me, implying that I was an idiot. That’s not what I asked for and was a little insulting to boot. If the restaurant doesn’t have a pepper grinder, fine, just tell me. I frankly think the place is overpriced for the mediocre food quality and the level of service. They also need to redecorate, the 90s décor is getting a little tired.

Recently remodeled and now much quieter. Server was very good. She promptly brought or coffee and juice and next thing we knew here was breakfast. Great eggs Benedict and excellent fresh fruit. If you haven’t been in awhile, give it a try.

It’s Easter Morning 2015 circa 9:15AM and all the servers at this J Christopher’s are donning bunny ears. The maitre d’ greeted me with Happy Easter to which I replied in kind. She showed me to my seat at the breakfast bar and proceeded to interact with the waitstaff. I watched and listened as she pulled each aside, individually, with a motherly mom-knows-best disposition to go over what was to be expected of them during the breakfast run. That’s when I thought to myself ‘she gets it.’ This J Christopher’s understands customers chose to come out which makes it possible for them to earn money. And they’re doing what it takes to ensure we come back. Plus they’re not afraid to honor great American traditions like the Easter Bunny. Too many companies nowadays are afraid to show the colors. God forbid that we should offend anyone. Four-stars to this JC for being clean, well-run, serving good food, and pride in honoring our American traditions. To you I tip my hat and say«I’ll be back.»

This is our go-to spot for working breakfasts, brunches and lunches. WiFi is free, the coffee is pretty good(although not award-winning), there’s plenty of table space, and the service is great. Bring a tablet or laptop and get some work done!

3.75 stars for this down-the-middle-of-the-fairway restaurant. Nothing crazy or unexpected here. Just what you’d expect. J. Christopher’s is a casual breakfast/brunch/lunch place that is much better than Waffle House, Denny’s or IHOP. That’s not to say it’s woo-hoo-terrific. It’s not. But it is always good for that old-school breakfast. The lovely Miss M. always gets the Skillets, eggs and other yummy ingredients mixed and served on a hot skillet. The omelets are big. Their coffee is very good, too. Service is by young, mostly attentive servers, and the ambiance is what you’d expect to find at a breakfast place.

Came into J Christopher’s because of the convenient location but that’s about all it had going for it. This place felt like an old diner but not in a good way. We ordered the Route 66(corn beef skillet) and the challah french toast. The skillet was dry but edible. Overall lacking any significant flavor. The French toast had very thinly sliced soggy challah bread smothered in butter. It definitely is sub par compared to some of Atlanta’s top shops. Live and learn.

This breakfast restaurant is just okay. I’ve heard mixed reviews about this particular place so I wanted to check it out for myself. I think each location is very different but still very expensive. Years ago I went to the Sandy Springs location and it was pretty good but this particular time, they were«in between seasons» so there were no seasonal pancakes or plates. It was only four of us at the table and the waitress seemed confused while taking our order(not sure why, maybe she was new?). There were barely any customers at noon on a Friday. I ordered an egg white veggie omelet with potatoes. My omelet was about $ 10 but there was nothing special about it. It only had onion and spinach(barely of it). The potatoes were little square potatoes with very little seasoning. The omelet tasted okay but it didn’t justify the price. I was disappointed. There are so many breakfast restaurants in Alpharetta and Atlanta. I would check out a different breakfast place

This is a typical J. Christopher’s. Dependably above average food. I like that you are able to substitute egg whites for regular eggs and they have soy milk on the menu. This is one of the few breakfast spots that you can actually craft a healthy breakfast. That is a requirement for any breakfast spot for me. The service that my Dad and I received this morning was great. Our server was prompt with our food and made sure that we had everything that we needed with our food. I would definitely eat her again. It’s much better than eye hop but not quite as good as some breakfast spots I found in Buckhead.

Perfect breakfast today. Never been in this one before. Pleasantly surprised. Great décor and well lit. Immediate greeting by manager. Fast service and great diverse menu. Fast on the refills and the food came out quickly. Well be back, a great experience!

We stopped by this place while waiting for my car to get fixed. I take full parking lots as a good sign, but this place proved that doesn’t necessarily correlate. As someone else previously mentioned, this location used to be a bank. And banks aren’t known for ample parking. We had to circle twice, and ended up creating our own make-shift parking spot by the curb. As we went in, we noticed more cars circling the place. The inside of the place is bright. It reminds me of a tropical destination where everything is bright colors and happiness. The hostess said it would be a minute while they clean off a table. No problem, because we saw a nice little lounge area with a couch. Just as we got comfy, boom, our table was ready. Wait time was less than two minutes. Our server was very prompt, albeit informal. He introduced himself and ask for our drinks. When we ordered two OJs he just nodded and left. No biggie — he’s probably busy. The drinks arrive shortly after. He apologized for the to-go cups, but they had temporarily run out of glasses. I kinda liked the to-go cups better. They were bright and yellow and happy. I ordered the veggie omelet with grits. The husband ordered the biscuits with sausage gravy. While we waited for our food, we noticed the very nice collection of jams/jellies/preserves on the table. They had the fancy stuff. The kind that’s too expensive to buy at the grocery store so you secretly stock up on at places like this. Seedless blackberry preserves, um, yes please! The manager lady was making her rounds, checking to make sure everything was okay. When she noticed our cups she mentioned that they had some freshly cleaned glasses to pour our OJ into if we wanted. I politely declined because I still liked my bright and happy cup. Colorful plates full of food arrived at our table and oh. my. goodness. I underestimated the size of this omelet. This took up half the plate. The other half was filled with a small bowl of grits and a toasted English muffin. Wowza! The omelet was cooked perfectly, but all the veggies were in the center. It was like I had to make my way to center. It was Journey to the Center of the Omelet, staring me, myself and I.(Ha!) I asked for some extra butter for my grits because I wanted them Paula Deen style. Two little saucers of butter showed up, perfectly meloned and slightly softened. :) I smear that poor pay of butter into my grits and made it the most creamy grits I’ve ever had. I could have made a meal of that. I gave up trying to finish my omelet and aimed for my English muffin, and those fancy jams! One part got the seedless blackberry and the other apple butter. SO good. You can’t wrong with good jams. My husband has a thing for inhaling his food, so I didn’t get to try any of his. It should be noted that he loves biscuits and gravy, so for him to inhale it that fast means it was good. His eggs looked fluffy and cheesy, but I couldn’t try any because he attacked them. It’s safe to say his food was really good. For some reason though, our server abandoned us after our food was delivered. No refills, no checking on us. We were on our own. Left to our devices. How were we going to survive! Finally, he came back with the check. $ 6 for two things of OJ! Yikes! This cheap gal prefer the store-brand gallon OJ. Total was around $ 24. Not TOO bad, but we could have gotten a lot more bang for our buck at WaHo. All in all, this place is nice. Food is good. Prices are okay. Ambiance is all happy and tropical feeling. Parking is abysmal though. If we’re in the area, we may stop by again, but I wouldn’t make a special trip here. Solid 3.5 stars for me.

I have mixed views about fundraisers sponsored by restaurants. They formed a gauntlet on either side of the entrance and were very pushy. It was for a good cause, but I don’t like the in-your-face approach. After escaping inside things improved and service and the food was good. This was our first time at this particular franchise and even during peak hours there was plenty of room and we had no trouble getting a table. The prices are a tad bit high, but not enough to be a deterrent and it’s a nice place to get a hearty breakfast.

After getting my ass kicked at work and assuming I would have the money, this would be a clutch after work eat spot. Consider it a gourmet breakfast type place. And the cool thing is, this is not the only location. Speaking of location, this used to be a bank. Always interesting to see a business convert into a totally different type of unit. The drive through is still there, but not in use. They usually have seasonal specials and drinks, but for my most recent visit, I got some schmancy coffee loaded with cream and sugar. I always stick with the same skillet, and I don’t know why. The actual skillet is great, I just wish they would cook the peppers/onions longer, and honestly that is the only thing stopping me from giving this place 5 stars. It is slightly on the pricey side, but when executed well, this is well worth it. The staff are friendly(which I noticed too, mostly women) and courteous. Food came out in a relatively decent manner, and no complaints about cleanliness. If you are larger, opt for a table, and not a booth– can be a tight fit!

When I go out for breakfast I am in one of two moods: I want something extravagant and wonderful, like a cross between French Toast & chocolate birthday cake or basic done well, like a solid western omelette and wheat toast. When I am feeling the latter I usually end up at a J Christopher’s. I can’t stomach Waffle House and I feel like this on par with the other regional breakfast behemoth, The Flying Biscuit. This location is tough to get to, with a weird back-alleyish road to take to get to it and the décor is pretty generic, unlike the other Roswell location on Roswell Road, which has a little more charm. I had pancake’s, wheat toast, bacon and coffee and the total came to over $ 15, so this place is not a bargain by any stretch. The locations is clean and well kept, the service is solid and fast and the food met my tempered expectations. To Recap: The Good: That is just it, everything is good, not great. Solid not spectacular, sound not inspiring, you get the idea. The Bad: For this location, tough to get to, tight parking and little pricey for what you get. The Band This Restaurant Most Resembles: Third Eye Blind. Um, OK.

I’ve now eaten at five different J Christopher’s locations in the metro Atlanta area. My favorite remains the Powers Ferry site, but this one on Alpharetta Highway in Roswell is very good. Service is the usual — friendly and efficient — and the food is consistent. This location appears to have once been a bank, but the odd building shape suits the restaurant. There’s a large separate dining area, and on my visit a group of ladies were having a grand old time, engrossed in their bridge game in the spacious, sunlight room. I opted for the Goddess omelette, made with egg-whites, tomatoes, feta, and spinach. Along with a cup of fresh fruit, it hit the spot. Oh, and I cannot forget the bottomless cup of coffee. It’s freshly brewed, and full of robust flavor. An excellent way to start the day.
