I don’t generally rate places five stars, especially on the first visit, but this place is awesome. My friend and I went in there on a chilly Thursday around 1:30pm. The restaurant is tucked behind Marlowe’s Tavern in the Avalon shopping center off Old Milton Parkway. The ambiance is cheerful, warm, and modern with creative lighting that looks like clouds floating from the high ceilings. My friend and I both tried their Yucca soup of the day which was warm, creamy, and reminiscent of a broccoli cheese or potato soup. My friend got a cup with her meal and the pressed turkey and cheese. I got the pressed grilled cheese and the Limonatta fruit cup. The fruit cup consisted of fresh pineapple, mango, papaya, cucumber, coconut chunks, honey dew and cantaloupe. It was soaking in lime juice and guarjillo pepper spice. The sandwich was warm and creamy with sweet Cuban bread. The sandwich was big enough for two, but I found myself eating every luxurious bite. The fruit was a perfect complement to the heavy sandwich and the pepper spice was a unique compliment that I enjoyed. Overall a wonderful experience and I look forward to trying one of their smoothies soon!

If you are in the mood for fruit, smoothies, or non-lunch items, then you should definitely come here. If you want a yummy lunch sandwich, then this is not the place. I got the turkey something and it was overly cheesy and a bit too sweet. There weren’t many options for sandwiches either. I’m kind of confused why so many people are so in love with this place, but maybe its because Alpharetta is filled with chains and this is a refreshing change. Anyways, bottom line, kind of a strange, hipstery, trendy café. Maybe good for a snack, but not a real meal.

Quirky and adorable! It looks like it would exist in Cuba and or the Caribbean. Vegetarian friendly. Everything is fresh and made to order! The Cuban coffee is strong and on point. The paninis are delicious and creative. JustVeggin’ is my favorite. The tomato soup was okay nothing special. But everything was great. I’m excited for my smoothie!!!

The Cuban Coffee was delicious!!! Will be back for that. The sand which wasn’t that great, it was turkey and Swiss and it was a bit plain. I would go back for coffee or fruit but not the sandwich.

Super delicious, fresh food at reasonable prices! What’s not to love?! Had the veggie panini, OMG that was probably the most delicious sandwich I’ve ever had. Hubby had the four cheese sandwich and added ham. It was very good but not as good as the veggie sandwich. He actually stole half my sandwich(still ate his cuz you know… Lol) I also just gotta say, the kids meal is awesome. The fruit is fresh and varied, the sandwich is a good size and the plantain chips are a small bag. They get a little bit of everything. I also had the tomato soup which was super unique and delicious. Almost tasted like a cross between sopa de platano(plantain soup) and tomato soup. So good. The fruit smoothies looked awesome but we didn’t get to try them cuz we had more than enough with our food. Next time! Service was also super friendly and fast. Got us out our food with smiles and lots of friendly and appropriate chit chat. It’s really great to have a healthy and fresh AFFORDABLE option at Avalon where everything else seems to be a twenty dollar double bacon cheeseburger or similar.

Went to Avalon to check it out and found this place almost by mistake since its off the main concourse but definitely worth it. Décor is bright, food was excellent and staff was friendly and efficient. Made my sandwich into combo and the fruit cup was juice drink were both great sides to my ham sandwich. Will definitely be going back.

Good smoothie. Good customer service. Nice whimsical ambiance for a cool and inexpensive little date spot. Great place to stop while waiting on your movie to start.

Employees are pleasant. Ordered the Lovin Lulo, it was mixed with strawberries, oranges, and kiwi with pineapple juice. A café ideal for meet and greets. The taste isn’t unique, but it is refreshing and worth having on a hot day. Not crowded and quieter than the other eateries.

I’ve traveled the world and this is by far one of the best place in the United States meaning that the meals that we had were good. We will return.

I was looking for something refreshing on my way out of Avalon, and saw this cute place! I love the ambiance and it screams refreshing on a hot day. I ordered the Guanabana wih a milk base(they gave me the option of water, milk, or orange juice/pineapple juice). It was a perfectly creamy drink of guanabana(which is a member of the custard apple flavor, as described by the website). It definitely hit the spot and there were lots of other goodies I definitely want to try on my next visit!

LottaFrutta was a great find at Avalon! We were looking for a place to get a smoothie or coffee and stumbled upon their coffita frio. This Cuban coffee is blended with ice and topped with homemade coconut crema. The staff was very friendly in dealing with dairy allergies and double checked to make sure they got the orders exactly right. I could drink a coffita frio everyday and will be back soon to try more things on the LottaFrutta menu!

Amazing food! I tried it for the first time today after seeing it on the avalon’s FB page and it was great. Very fresh and much healthier option than most. I tried their«have to ham it» and it was delicious. My husband who is really picky had a bite and ended up buying one for himself. I made it a combo and added a fruit cup with the coconut cream(great gluten free option). We also tried the Lulo juice, real fruit. Service was great, our order came quick and the place was clean. I am definitely going back. Very reasonably price too.

Great smoothies and very fresh fruit cannot make up for less than average sandwiches. Slow service that is not precise also contributes to a less than brilliant experience. Stick with the fruit, through, and you can’t go wrong. Mexican hot chocolate is also pretty special, just don’t go looking for a great pressed sandwich…

Such a great, healthy spot to grab a bite. We’ve made it by here 3 times already, and yet to have any problems! The cost compared to most places in the Avalon is low. The ambiance is very relaxed but be prepared to be hit with a ton of bright colors when you walk in! They have a water dispenser near the front, which is a great way to grab customers on a hot day and get them trickling in. Our first visit consisted of two sandwiches and a split fruit cup, which filled us up nicely. My honey ordered the Just Veggin and I had the Hav to Ham It. Both were good, basically panini style sandwiches. What really kicked up the taste was the pepperocinis we added, highly recommend. My favorite part of the meal was the small side of chulpe. It’s a larger corn that goes unpopped when cooked but tastes like popcorn. A South American snack that is REALLY good, especially with how they spice it up! The fruit cup we ordered was amazing, and one I’ve ordered 3 times now. It’s the cremolatta, and comes with thick whipped cream throughout and lots of fruit! Very refreshing! The kids seem to love the king of pops Popsicles near the register, so that’s a plus. The service is excellent … I ordered the wrong fruit cup on my second visit and they fixed it right away, even though it was my fault. Everybody there is nice and friendly. A must try if you’re at the Avalon. We spent $ 24 on the first visit and that filled us up(that included tip).

«If your reviews are sounding like essays, start a blog. I can’t read your life story on my phone before ordering from the menu.» [Time & Date of visit]: 7÷27÷15, 7ish pm [Party Size]: 3 [Location/Ambiance]: Parking — They seem to be still doing construction on the lots. So just aim for whicher is closest to the movie theater and you should be good. They are directly across from Antico. Next door to Marlowes Tavern. Outside — there are few round tables and chairs. But if you can find seating near the fountains, I think this would be good after dinner spot. If you can pass up on gelato. Inside — Quaint and colorful. There’s a small running booth underneath the cool looking wall décor, comprised of jarritos glass drinks. What’s a little confusing is that the menu’s are on both, left(fruit cups and other edibles) AND right(smoothies) of the store. Ambiance — The vibrant colors would make you think lively, loud. But I think this is more of a chill spot. Until more people start taking notice of them and they get busier. [Service]: Since this place is still relatively new, my bestest was throwing the cashier a curve ball on her«particular» ordering style. The store manager and owner of this particular location, Steve, stepped up and was able to assist with her requests and answer any questions. Even though the menu seems like most items are pre-set, Steve allowed us to customize which fruits we wanted and did not want. Sweet. [Food Highlights]: Smoothies have a choice of being water based for $ 2.75 or milk based for $ 3.25. Guanabana(soursop) and passion fruit smoothie(water based) — A custom order. I would say pretty good, but the guanabana has a really overpowering taste. If you are adventurous and want to be creative on making your own smoothie, take note of that. Passion Fruit Smoothie(water based) — My bestest loved this as is. I would say it tasted great, even though I’m a noob to exotic fruits. The smoothie is not powdery and has a balance of sweetness. Dolce Vita Fruit Cup — Again, someone wanted to customize this, so out goes the banana’s, apples, and oranges. I would recommend keeping the regular amount of yogurt, as the granola adheres to the fruits better with it. For $ 5, this is very refreshing, and healthy, without killing your wallet compared to what neighboring Whole Foods would have charged. [Total Bill w/Tip & Tax]: $ 13.25 w/tip {Summary}: Steve mentioned, that they decided to keep the prices the same as the midtown location, even with twice the rent they have at the Avalon. For around $ 5 – 6 for this kind of quality of food, I think it’s worth a visit even if you aren’t in the area or in need of something light to finish off your lunch or dinner in the Avalon. DEFINITELYRECOMMEND!

What a fun and cute establishment! I came here Friday night with my boyfriend for a quick dinner before the movies. I walked in and saw the cute décor with lots of bright colors. I was curious about this place because I had never heard of it. There is an area of tables and chairs. You walk up to the counter and order and then they bring the food to you. You can even get carryout if you like. The menu consisted of fruit cups, fruit smoothies, salads, and sandwiches. They also sell snacks like plantain chips and chulpe, an Ecuadorian-style toasted corn. It tasted like popcorn except they look like the seeds of the popcorn. My boyfriend really took a liking to it. We ordered the Cremolotta, a fruit cup with melons, strawberries, papaya, grapes with a coconut cream. It was served with a little umbrella, like the kind you see in a mixed drink on the beach. It was delicious and tasted so fresh! We both decided to order sandwiches. They are panini-style. It was the best Panini I have ever had. I ordered the veggie one, which came with Havarti cheese, avocado, tomato, cucumbers, and sprouts. You can also get additional sides like pepperocinis and pickles. Without the pepperocinis, the sandwich would have been bland. My boyfriend got the oven roasted turkey with Swiss, and he really liked it, too. Both sandwiches came out nice and hot. Three additional pluses about this place: Excellent service, Recycling at the front, and Seat covers in the bathroom. Awesome! We liked it so much we came back for lunch the next day. Yum!
