Los Cerritos

First time in Roswell. On a road trip from Chicago with my wife and son. After checking into our hotel, about a block away, we were eager to get some dinner. Originally we planned to go to a place further into town, but I spotted Cerritos from our hotel and decided to walk and give it a try. We arrived at about 7:45 PM on a Tuesday evening, were greeted warmly and seated quickly. Our server Jenn, a local, was AMAZING and beyond helpful in menu suggestions and tips about things to do in and beyond Roswell. On her suggestion I chose the «Alambre» and it EXCEEDED MY EXPECTATIONS. Sautéed to perfection and in need of zero condiment or salsa enhancements. (I normally drink at least 3 glasses of water with dinner, but this time was different.) Before I knew it I was nearly finished with my plate and hand only taken a modest sip from my cup of water… and it had nothing to do with «portion size» because that was PERFECT. NO, the meal was just that good!!! My wife was equally pleased with the burrito she ordered with green sauce. For dessert we all shared the Xango and it was #damnnnnnnnnnn (It’s deep fried homemade cheesecake heaven with a glitter of shimmering cinnamon goodness)
We’ve eaten at several fine Hispanic Chicago restaurants in downtown and even in Pilsen… this meal and warm experience OUT SHINNED THEM ALL. We are so impressed and can’t wait to try breakfast tomorrow!
You can be sure I intend to tell everyone and anyone I know making there way to this part of New Mexico to without a doubt DO NOT MISS THIS LITTLE LOCAL GEM – and who knows, you might be lucky enough to run into Jenn!

This is definitely the go to place for my family and I. Always consistent with their friendly service and delicious food. We are regulars at this restaurant and haven’t to had a bad experience. We always recommend it when people ask where the best place in town is to go eat.

Started going to eat here when i moved to town a few months ago. The portions are very good size and the food is very good. Waitresses are friendly and keep my drink filled. Food is served fairly quick. This resturant has become a regular for my family and I.

The food was decent for a small town like Roswell because most of the other restaurants are chains. The service was okay but took a while once you got to the check. The guacamole was delicious as well as the rice.

Love Taco Tuesdays! And their rice is perfect every time. My kid swears by their chicken strips (she doesn’t like Mexican food, go figure!)

Loved it here! The food was great and the prices were resonable. I ordered the belgian waffle and it was so fluffy and tasty… Definitely would come back. :)

The staff is very kind and nice. Our waitress, Selene, was amazing. Always caring and looked after us wonderfully. The food was very good. Definitely a place to suggest.

This place is nice. On Wednesday night there is a live band. They were unpracticed and shy but I think the singers have good voices and some potential. The garden salad is big. And… welcome to New Mexico… sopaipillas!

Really good Mexican food. Very well run. The side table guac has the freshest ingredients. A favorite for sure. Can’t complain about a thing. We enjoy eating here. Always friendly service.

Tasty stacked enchiladas with an egg on top, great side of beans and sopapillas for desert with honey. We came here with a good friend who frequents this place a lot, we were passing through and he insisted we try it. I was pleasantly surprised as the flavor was defintely more tex-​mex with some spicy (burn all the way down) salsa’s. The place was busy on a Tuesday night and we had good service.

In Roswell on a road trip, stopped in for breakfast. The breakfast burrito, egg, cheese, potato, onion, and beans, covered in Green sauce. My first thought was can I eat all this? Once I started eating it just started to disappear, it was so good. Service was fast and friendly. Only disappointment was no real cream for the coffee.

WORST. SERVICE. EVER. A slow Thursday morning, breakfast took 2 hours from being seated to getting the check. Never again.

It was entirely adequate. There’s better in Roswell, but this was good enough.
Not sure if this is just my Texas palate or not, but the water tasted kind of weird. Not sure how else to describe it, it just tasted… off.
You will definitely have Mexican food there. That is the experience you will have.

Well where to begin, I feel like I am going to pop, and the food is very good. I had the Mocajete with table side gaucomole. The food was hot and seasoned just right, not over cooked. The price was average and well worth it. I would recommend this to anyone looking for Mexican food. Next time I am in Roswell I will be back. Thank you for the great food and great hospitality.

Anything fried comes out saturated with grease: chips, chimichanga, fries, chicken fingers. The «fajita» chicken is canned chicken meat. They only have two sauce options: red or green. The staff is friendly and the atmosphere is nice. Not worth the prices.

Ate at this restaurant with some friends during a taco Tuesday. I ordered four tacos and they served my four tacos on a single plate with my friend’s four tacos. They gave me two little bread plates and said, «just put your tacos on these plates. «
Service was very slow. The staff forgot things such as sour cream and salsa when we requested some. Had to ask multiple staff members to bring requested food items. In the restaurants’ defense, it was taco Tuesday and it was busy.
The taco Tuesday tacos were not that great. But I’ll never know of the other food items because I’ll probably never come back due to the service.

When we arrived for dinner around 6:00 pm, we got seated immediately. I noticed the restaurant was clean. The hostess and wait staff were friendly and attentive. This was our first visit as we were traveling from Ruidoso, NM, back to Texas. We inquired about their green chili stew which the waiter. told us was seasonal. We will try to come back in the winter when they have the green chili stew. I had a combination plate with a beef enchilada, crispy beef taco, and a cheese chili rellano. All I can say is, the tacos are to die for! The tacos are absolutely delicious! All of the food was excellent. Their sopapillas are bigger than your fists. They are huge! And again, they are delicious! This is a great place to eat Mexican food!

Good service, food just ok. The chips were stale, salsa was good.
Ordered the combo platter with a chicken enchilada and chili relleno topped green chili sauce. The enchilada was dry and the chili relleno reminded me of the egg in egg foo young. The green chili sauce was weak and lacked flavor. Their refried beans were tasty, the rice was not worth the carbs. Hubs ordered the asado and said it was kind of bland.
You get a lot of food and was cheap, $ 19 for both our meals. It filled me up, but expected better based on other Unilocal reviews.

My husband and I enjoyed our experience at this little Mexican restaurant. They had a good beer selection-​cool points for the Alien Amber Ale. The mister had a michelada. The chips and salsa were fresh and tasty. We ordered the table side guacamole and what a treat it was!!! Our server made it at our table and we could pick what we wanted in it. Delicious! Our server was awesome-​attentive, respectful, friendly. It was a little wait for our food, but overall was a great experience.
