My husband and I had lunch at Plum Café on Saturday, 2÷13÷16. I was interested because they offer gluten-free and dairy-free options, using high quality foods. We started by sharing a bowl of Moqueca de Peixe(soup containing salmon, cod, coconut milk)… oh, my… it was divine! I had the wild salmon(flown in from Norway) and roasted winter vegetables; my husband had the roast beef panini with potato salad. He gave his meal a «thumbs up» and I also thoroughly enjoyed my meal… the salmon was cooked to perfection. We both decided that we would return to this delightful restaurant… every staff member was so cheery and kind to us… the chef/owner came out to talk with us… service was excellent… a lovely experience! We were told that when the weather warms up, they will open up for dinner on the weekends… the patio looked so inviting… can’t wait to try it out!

I was completely overwhelmed by the care I received at Plum Café. I am allergic to almost everything, and usually when I go to eat with my family I have to just watch everyone else eat. Monica, the Chef and owner, came to talk to me and assured me that I would have a wonderful lunch. I left my lunch up to her, and was so pleased with what she created. True to her word, it was one of the best meals I have had out. The rest of my family was also very happy with the food they ordered off of the menu.

Having not been there before, I thought to myself«4 to 5 stars» the 1 to 2 stars must be an exception– well they were right– THESERVICESUCKS ! The food is good, but is NOTWORTHTHERUDENESS, especially from the owner, you will experience there! The server didn’t not memorize or was not familiar with the menu, every time I asked how it was prepared or what it came with, she had to go ask the chef or another server. When I asked to repeat it, she retorted«I already told you what it was» as if I was expected to memorize it as well. There were several sides to choose from, no details descriptions on the menu or from our server available. When I ordered a side that was way too salty, I asked if I could change it to something else, the owner said that she would have to charge me for BOTH! I had not only ordered the café’s most expensive entrée, with espresso, and dessert, and she was asking me to pay for a side dish that was salted too much? Then when I had some dessert left over, I has for a to-go box, never got it. I went up to the owner and she«threw it «towards me and asked me to do it my self! So not worth the rudeness, especially from the owner! I don’t care how good the food is there are many other establishments that care about the satisfaction of the customer, this is not one of them!

I went there for the lunch with a friend the other day. It’s a cute little place tucked away. Service was good — no complaints there. They offer healthy fair with lots of options for Gluten Free. I know that does bump up the price usually, but I felt the pricing was too high($ 13 for most salads, the same for sandwiches). The salad was beatiful, but my sandwich was small(typical GF bread) and with very small side of potato salad that was $ 13. The food tasted good — but besides the price, and there was a really bad fish smell(not particularly a fresh smell!). I understand they had a salmon special that day, so there would be a fish smell. But, it was so bad that I had to put my coat and scarf outside for half of a day after going there for lunch. Granted, I’m a transplant from a coastal area so often dubious of «fresh» when away from the coast, but you can tell by the smell the quality of the fish and freshness. I won’t go back because of the price and the smell.

We got a steak panini, salmon chowder, and the trio thingy. It was all tasty and my trio felt healthy, not too heavy. It was a to go order but the ambiance was nice. I especially liked that I can bring my dog once the weather allows. Their customer service was a standout feature. You can tell they really try to go above and beyond to make you feel taken care of. Definitely worth the trip, especially if you’re gluten-free.

Dinner review. Beautiful evening in Roswell last night so we stopped in to enjoy dinner. My husband and I both ordered the Cod dinner special. Wow. Cooked in parchment Paper. Sides were zucchini, kale salad and the Mac and cheese. Fantastic. Don’t miss it.

I love this place! Food is not only delicious but organic, super healthy and gluten free. The environment is really nice specially their lovely gazebo. The Latin twist gives a little spice as I love to try new things from different places. Totally recommend it.

The half/half is a good deal for lunch and should be enough for most people. I had beef panini and oxtail soup which are pretty good. Get to go if you are in a hurry. Dine in service is good too but it may take a while.

The atmosphere, décor, staff and of course the food was wonderful. It is a quaint and cozy place with a nice patio. Our server was attentive, and spot on with her recommendations. The owner greeted us and made sure we were happy. The food is creative and mostly healthy with an emphasis on organic. We had lunch and will definitely be back to have dinner.

The portobello panini is one of the best sandwiches I’ve ever had in my entire life! MUST. TRY. Dip it in a cup of homemade tomato basil soup and I’m in heaven. What a lovely place. Live music Saturday afternoons and a great little back patio. Decent wine selection too! Love this place!

What a lovely little spot to sit and take a load off. We were in town for a wedding and decided to try Plum Café for lunch. We were greeted by your typical southern hospitality: warm, welcoming, etc. We sat at the back and ordered soup and a half sandwich and were quite satisfied. Service was a wee bit slow due to their patio hosting a large party, but we made it out the door in the time we’d mentioned we needed to be done. Bonus: we asked them to make an ice coffee and they did. We’d have sat on the patio if we could, but alas, it was booked. Note for the GF community: they offer a nice array of GF food which I noticed. Way to go!

Where do I begin. OK so the outdoor seating area was like no other café I’ve been to before. We had the choice to sit in their gorgeous gazebo with cushion bench-like seating or at their little café style tables surrounding the gazebo. They also have an outdoor bar! They are dog friendly in which they offer gourmet treats for your pup. We had their lunch and it was nothing less than amazing. Clean, fresh brazilian cuisine. Gluten free option I might add. Pictures speak louder than words so I’ll leave it for your eyes to decide. The best café in downtown Roswell, hands down.

Great food, very large gluten free menu which makes my belly happy! Waiters were all sweet & nice when I came in. The gluten free muffin & chicken salad made my mouth dance. Can’t wait to go back for dinner!

This has become my new favorite restaurant! Monica is a beautiful soul and a brilliant chef who creates absolutely stunning dishes. If you are gluten free they have amazing options. The food is healthy, fresh and delicious. I love the gf pizzas, but the Brazilian fish stew(Moqueca) is quite simply the best soup I have ever had. I do not say this lightly. Unless you are eating this now, while reading this review on your phone, make changes in your life now that will put a bowl of moqueca in front of you as soon as possible. Call ahead as they do not serve it every day, but all of Monica’s soups are wonderful! The salmon is incredible and served with wine, sea salt, and capers with diced peppers and tomatoes on the side. Since going on a gluten free diet I had not enjoyed a dessert until I had their flourless chocolate cake. Simply amazing. Everything that comes out of the kitchen is a piece of art. Period. The staff here is warm, engaging, knowledgeable and makes you feel like family. You should already be on your way there.

If you are looking for clean, healthy, delicious food(including organic and gluten-free options), this is your place! The owner and chef is creative: her lemon quinoa salad is one of my favorites. The fish is fresh and well prepared. This is my favorite place in Roswell to bring guests, for lunch or dinner. The patio seating is lovely.

Found this place while I was walking with my friends in old town Roswell, after 5 alive. It’s a small, cozy place and kinda hidden from everything else out there, but unfortunately the service sucks, excuse my French and the whole staff looked discombobulated. I order steak skewers with zucchini and squash and got chewy steak and the side dish of zucchini and squash was shred it with onions, yucky … definitely didn’t expected that! Food was late and cold, I was asked about 3 times or more, if I got my drink, which clearly wasn’t in front of me! Worst of all the servers were arguing about the order right next to us! Yeap definitely not going back!

Plum Café is the place to go for a leisurely lunch in historic Roswell. The food is impeccably put-together and delicious. The service is friendly and fantastic. If you’re lucky to have beautiful weather, there’s a gazebo where you can sit and enjoy lunch. I ordered the«Choice of 2» so I had the Tomato Basil soup and half of a Roasted Pepper and Kumato. The tomato basil soup’s texture is unlike other tomato soups I’ve had. I could taste how the tomato had been pureed and the basil flavor wasn’t too strong. It’s not creamy like most tomato soups or bisques I’ve had, but it’s got a fairly smooth texture. I also enjoyed how it was served with some crusty bread, cut into slices ideal for dipping. A cup of the tomato was more than plenty for me. The bread used for my panini was delicious too. It’s a focaccia that goes nicely with the wet ingredients in my sandwich without getting too soggy. However, I had a bite of my boyfriend’s roast beef sandwich, and admittedly, I would’ve liked that one better as a half. The roast beef is shaved thinly but still so full of flavor. I’d probably get that or something else next time. I imagine a lot of ladies like coming here to get lunch. Since I don’t have that luxury during the week, coming here on a Saturday works just as well. What I also like is that there’s a private parking lot near Plum Café so you don’t have to search hard down Canton St or pay for parking. Depending on the occasion or if I have free time again on the weekend, I might be back for lunch.

Plum Café is easy to miss, tucked in amongst the many restaurants on and around Canton Street, but it definitely deserves attention. Not long ago, my significant other and I stopped in for a very late lunch and were pleasantly surprised. The restaurant is slightly quaint with a laid-back, small town feel. The owner seemed like anything but. Our server was polite and sharp without being pushy at all. She did everything we could have asked and still the owner seemed to prod his staff to take better care of us. We split a pizza which had very fresh, very delicious ingredients. He was eager for them to get it made and out to us in a timely fashion even though it seemed quite quick to us. We ordered the classic with oregano, provolone, and artichoke hearts. We followed it up with a special gelato which was also well-crafted. Overall, the experience was a definite plus. I would like to try more items on their menu. I feel like the environment could use a little sprucing up and the pizza could use a few more of the ingredients, but I’ll take quality over quantity any day. I had no regrets supporting this local joint.

What a lunchtime gem in downtown Roswell. It’s perfectly off of Canton Street, making it a quiet, tasty choice for a lingering lunch without the noisy bustle just a few yards away. Service is friendly and efficient, and the food is creative, healthy and fun. Salads, soups, sandwiches, and light entrees all presented with a certain je nais se quoi. The patio is a perfectly pretty place to meet. Maybe you’ll get lucky and be able to get a table in the patio’s gazebo for that casual, but special, lunch date. Parking is conveniently located in back.
