Food is good. A bit crowded, the seating is close.

Great food! Supreme Whiskey & Bourbon list and great wines for pairing. It’s a very busy place with tight, TIGHT seating but worth it. My only criticism is the pricing is just a smidge over where I think would be fair for the food. Would be back for drinks for sure!

Had their fish tacos for lunch If you want a totally fried lunch– this may be for you. Fried tortilla shells, way too heavily battered and overfried fish. Very salty french fries.

Nice little spot in Roswell, Ga. The food selection is good, burgers, tacos, pizza and steak. I purchased the roadhouse burger don’t quote me if I’m wrong. Its the burger with fried onion strings, an egg over, steak sauce and bacon. Yàll…that burger was so fresh, hot and juciy. The best burger I’ve had in a minute. I came to this place because I was filming my YouTube look book in downtown Roswell, and my friends and I decided to stop in and I’m glad we did. The only reason this place get 4 stars is because my mash potatoes were cold. Other than that I have no issues.

They did not want to serve us because it was 10:20pm. We knew right away because the bartender looked at her watch right when we walked in. They still had patrons eating there. We were really hungry and very disappointed. The manager, or someone important looking came out to the parking lot and apologized and offered to serve us drinks. But we didn’t want drinks, we were hungry we wanted food. I referred them to their Unilocal page that states they are open until 11pm today. Edit: My husband also just told me that there was another couple in the restaurant with their menu still in their hands so they didn’t even order yet. Guess they just didn’t want to serve US.

Another great find because of Unilocal. If you’re in the neighborhood be sure to stop in and say Hi! The food was incredible, drinks were excellent, the service was incredibly attentive and I left feeling that I hadn’t overpaid for anything.

I came here with my brother after a play he was in at the nearby Roswell Cultural Arts Center. This place was appealing because it was one of the only places that had a kitchen that was still open at 10:30 when we were looking to eat. It is a bit expensive for what it is… A glorified bar that also serves meals specifically prepared with beer/wine in mind, aka a gastro pub. Parking was difficult here, because even though it was 10:30, and in Roswell, you had to pay for parking at the adjacent lot. So as to not be jerks and get there right when the kitchen closed, we were forced to pay and park. Boo. The place really was very busy, which I think is always a good sign. The service was excellent despite that, as well. The server had good suggestions and was fairly attentive for how buys the restraint was for that time. I decided to treat my brother for his birthday and he ordered the Five Peppercorn Crusted Ahi Tuna that came with Bok Choy Kimchee(didn’t taste how I’m used to Kimchee tasting) and a Lemon sauce(about $ 30). I got the Shepard’s Pie(about $ 19), which included pearl onions, corn, peas, rosemary, and cheddar potato purée. It was divine; well-seasoned, deliciously perfumed with rosemary, crispy on the outside, creamy potato goodness on the inside. All-in-all about $ 55 for a meal for two(tax not included). THEVERDICT: I don’t imagine I would go out of my way to eat here, as my frugal little heart likes to stay at around $ 15 per person. That being said, the food is obviously prepared lovingly: with fresh seasonings and ingredients, and nicely cooking meats and vegetables. I’ve had fish that tasted comparable for half the cost, and definitely Shepard’s Pie that was just as good for half the cost. It’s all a matter of presentation and what you’re willing to pay for what you get. It’s a place that serves tasty, high quality food with a bunch of beer and wine pairings, so it would probably make a great date night spot(or birthday meal!) for someone who has an extensive palate for booze and food pairings, in a much more casual atmosphere than many other«fancy» places.

Quality ingredients, friendly staff, cool lighting, and, most importantly, delicious sandwiches. I am a big fan of the Fried Green Tomato BLT and the Hangar Steak Sandwich. I have only been for lunch, I would love to go back and try some of their dinner items. The menu is inventive and locally sourced, and I will always support a restaurant that has those two calling cards. The small place fills up quickly, so plan your meal accordingly.

I was visiting Georgia from California and found this wonderful gem near where I was staying in Roswell. This should be your first destination for some great southern cooking with flare. There are a number of excellent restaurants in this quaint area of Roswell. My experience at the Salt Factory was beyond my expectations in both service and cuisine. The Louisiana egg roll is a definite must-try. The combination of flavors and sauce is a winner in my book. I ordered the Blood Orange Salmon for my entrée. I appreciated the fact they asked how I would like it cooked. It was phenomenal. Thanks again Salt Factory for the great charm and service. I will be going back again when I visit next year.

Another joint in our quest to conquer every restaurant on Canton Street. This is a daunting and delicious task mind you. Well, Salt Factory is one of those places that will be on our rotation of «go-to» restaurants. The food was delicious, the service was attentive, and the value was not a piggy bank breaker. So Salt Factory was on my bookmarked list for some time when the wife, while choosing our next foodie outing, suggested that we go here. We found time in between college and pro football schedules to slide on over to Canton street for lunch. This was approximately one-ish on a Sunday and yet Canton Street was still a buzz. It was nothing like a Friday, or Saturday evening, but busy nonetheless. Parking still sucks, but Sunday does provide its merits in that department. We parked on the side of the Antique Market and walked on over to the Salt Factory. Immediately upon entering we notice that the joint is «quaint». And by that I mean small… really small. A lot of the places over there are like that, but I have not seen any place as small as this one. I am sure, through our restaurant journey, we will come across more«quaint» places. We were seated immediately. It seems that we hit a timing sweet spot, because it was maybe 1⁄3 capacity when we arrived, but 20 minutes in and the place was slammed. It gets very loud and cramped. You get to enjoy your neighbor’s conversation as well as your own. Just before we were leaving, they sat a family next to us who had their hands full with a very cranky new born. We couldn’t have timed our departure any better. After being seated, we were greeted relatively swiftly by a very personable and knowledgeable server. I pretty much knew what I wanted to try before getting here, having studied the menu beforehand. We started with the cornmeal dusted calamari and the Louisiana egg rolls. The calamari was good; tender and flash fried perfectly. The marinara was a bit bland despite being listed as spicy and the Meyer lemon aioli was excellent. There needed to be more of that on the plate! The Louisiana egg rolls were pure decadence; crunchy, cheesy, goodness, with a hint of spice — needed to be more. While we were enjoying our appetizers, I noticed the Scotch and Bourbon walls. Oh my! The variety was inviting. It would be awesome if they opened up the roof or an outside deck and had cigar and Scotch/Bourbon activities. I could find my way here for that, for sure. On to our entrees. The better half was daring and ordered the salmon. She refuses to eat salmon outside of my home preparation because she is always disappointed with a dry and oft overcooked piece of fish. I ordered the London broil. It was a toss-up this lunch between that and the Steakhouse burger, which is a bacon, Cheddar, covered burger topped with a fried egg, onion straws, and barbeque sauce. I couldn’t loose on either choice in my opinion. Or server suggested cooking temps which were in-line with our own preferences — medium rare for the fish and the steak. That is how they emerged. My wife’s salmon was cooked to perfection, sitting a top of whipped saffron potatoes, topped with ratatouille and glazed with a delectable blood orange sauce. The London broil was tender, as tender as you can get a skirt steak, plated with Cheddar cheese mashed potatoes and three batter-fried onion rings. I washed that plate down with an a couple of Abita Jockamos. The Salt Factory, I would say, it is truly upscale pub fare done very well. If only it weren’t so «quaint»!

Excellent place to hang out and drink Moscow Mules on a cool evening. The drink menu is excellent and service is very, very good. Have only eaten once and the food is strong overall, if slightly overpriced. Did have the much-vaunted shepherd’s pie and thought it was grossly overrated(it’s been featured in Food Network. I must have come on a bad day because the lamb was flat-out tough and seriously on the bland side. Mashed potatoes were also bland and almost watery. Mussels, however, are very good, Louisana eggrolls are fantastic, chicken pot pie is very decent. Will hold out the fifth star primarily because of the lamb. I’ll try it again and we’ll see.

«Let’s skip out the wiki facts and focus on the food. I’m trying to find out what to order on the Unilocal app before the server gets back.» [Time & Date of visit]: Multiple times, weekday lunch. [Party Size]: 2 [Location/Ambiance]: Parking — Usually trying to find a spot, you’ll circle the small area near the front will have you feeling frustrated. I usually turn left immediately at the corner of Salt Factory. Then drive down a block and find parking on the side street nearby Wells Fargo. Inside — It’s a small setup with the bar running almost end to end at the restaurant. There’s a long shared booth seat on the opposite side with small 2 top tables. I don’t think big groups would work well here. Maybe at the Alpharetta location would. Ambiance — The rustic décor mixed with lots of aged wood and brick makes the place feel homey, broken in to feel at ease for a gastropub. [Service]: Full Service. So far we’ve only been here for lunch and it’s maybe only been one server covering the floor and a couple of food runners /bussers. Beverage refills are ok. Drinks and food orders are some what timely. I don’t think this is a place you could grab a quick lunch though. [Food Highlights]: She crab soup — Slightly more salty than I was expecting. And minced up crab meat is scattered through the bowl. I was just hoping something on par with lobster bisque. Meh. Louisiana Egg rolls — Fried to a slight crisp on the egg roll shell, the filling is generously stuffed. I feel that taste is a big mashup, nothing really is distinct from all the ingredients but they all play well together. Wasn’t wowed on any of the included sauces though, I think they should shoot for something on the sweet and spicy end. Pretty good for a fried appetizer. The Steakhouse(Burger) — Going to have to disagree with Thrillist that this is one of the best burgers OTP. I requested the burger for medium, and I think it’s possible that due to resting the burger was cooked a little more than wanted. But it was more well done. Taste wise, it was ok. The shoestring onions didn’t really add much I think. Quantity wise, it’s a big burger and will leave you feeling stuffed. The fries were also a bit over cooked, nothing what was pictured on thrillist’s site. I think if you just want a good burger, Lucky’s up the road has a better version more consistent. Labeled The Undertaker. This one is a meh. The London Broil — Three massive onion rings atop slices of hanger steak and a bed of potato purée. The hanger steak was cook well but the bestest might say it’s beyond medium rare that she requested. Flavor wise; and I accept that this isn’t a steak house, its pretty good at best. Don’t get me wrong, the meat was pretty tender but just felt like some seasoning was missing. The potato purée has a slightly thicker than whipped mashed potato texture. Not wowed by this accompanying side honestly. The onions were pretty crispy though with a meaty slice of onion. It’s ok. Slow braised pork shank — If you try anything here, this needs to be one of those options. The braised pork is fork tender and flavorful through out until the end. A hint of sweetness from the chutney and bitterness from the spinach plays well with the pork on each bite. I actually liked eating the grits by themselves though. Must try. [Total Bill w/Tip & Tax]: Usually two entrée’s would hover to the upper $ 30’s for lunch. $ 40 something including tip. {Summary}: Overall the whole package for Salt Factory Roswell is pretty good. Though I just wish some foods could have worked out better than what I was hoping for based on what the prices are. Decent lunch place. 3 stars.

We stopped in during the Roswell Wine Festival, and we’re very happy we chose this place! I had been wanting to try it for a while and I was happy we did! I love the close cozy atmosphere, our server was amazing, and the food was perfect. We had the Cajun egg rolls, I was highly surprised. They were on point. We were more than happy with our experience and will be going back soon.

You can find this location of the Salt Factory Pub at 952 Canton Street, Roswell, Atlanta, GA30075 — this is the same Canton St that makes up the primary restaurant and shopping area known as the Roswell Square. I went with a couple of friends exploring Roswell as a possible new-home location for my friend Sangam, who recently changed jobs with a company planning to move into the Alpharetta area — quite a change for someone who’s spent most of his time in midtown and downtown Atlanta. We decided to do a bit of a min-restaurant crawl through Roswell and since it’s been a while for me this looked like a good opportunity to check out a couple of restaurants and pubs. Today we visited the most excellent Jekyll Brewery and headed to the Roswell Square afterwards. The Roswell Square, which is a stretch of a few blocks along Canton Street, has always had a few small shops that fed the locals. Within the last 10 years or so, as the community numbers have swelled, the shops have turned more into local pubs and restaurants(along with the more tourist-oriented gift shops, etc.) and has become more of a destination. What’s interesting about the area is that there is plenty of housing nearby, basically within walking distance, so a bit of local pub and restaurant culture has evolved and thrived. Also, the city of Roswell passed and open container law for the street that allows you to walk around with beer or other alcohol without the fear of arrest — awesome, right? It makes it a prime location for small festivals — there are several held here and worth visiting. My only complaint is the parking situation — there’s simply not enough parking currently to handle the many visitors — I have heard that they are building a large parking area so that will be good news to the local vendors. So about the Salt Factory Pub — this is my first visit and I already liked what I saw — brownstone-style storefront with limited outdoor seating, exposed brick interiors, chalkboard menus and an eclectic décor, both loft-modernist and baroque. Wine bottles are exposed in cabinets along the back wall and a large full-bar runs along the left. The seating is limited which I rather like — I can easily see this place as my regular watering-hole. The menu features starters, soup and salads, sandwiches, charcuterie boards, English-pub foods, Gastropub Burgers and Pizzas. We decided to try our luck with: Louisiana Eggrolls — Cajun rubbed chicken, andouille sausage, charred corn, spinach, a very sharp cheddar and a delicious creole honey mustard. I loved these — they have the same flavor satisfaction of a good smoked pastrami reuben eggroll that you find in Irish/English pubs. They satisfy on multiple levels. Pulled Pork Tacos — these delicious tacos could easily make up a lunch meal for one — smoked pork, smoked jalepeno slaw, cheese, chipotle crema and parmesan. The beer menu is quite extensive for such a small place — as for as the bottles go, though I was hoping for more local craft on tap. I went with the Abita Jockamo IPA — this is a bright and bitter, very red American IPA with lots of intensity and great flavor. In all, a very enjoyable experience with great food, good beer and fantastic company. If you haven’t tried Roswell yet you’re missing out on something special. The only thing I found a bit negative was the parking — but hopefully that will be fixed soon — if you intend to visit make sure you give yourself plenty of time to park and walk to the Square. This is an interesting looking place. It looked trendy inside with a bit of an old school, American feeling. I guess it reminded me of… Roswell, GA. So it’s an appropriate restaurant for its location. The menu items looked good. They seemed to have some good, hearty foods. I came for lunch and had the slow-braised pork shank. If I get something on the menu that says, «slow-braised» I expect the flavors to me perfect, the meat falling off the bone, and the meat juicy. Well, it wasn’t juicy. It was a bit dry. I don’t know how long they braised that thing. 30 minutes? The flavors were okay. It was on the bland side. The service was friendly and jolly. It’s hard to judge a place with one dish. Since it’s so far from me, I can’t come again to give it a fair review. But hey, first impressions are everything. It was okay.

I didn’t know this area even existed until yesterday. Had such an awesome time and this pub was so cute. We sat outside and our server was attentive but not obnoxious. The beers were good and they were kind enough to make me a Negroni which was delicious and strong. The lettuce wraps were great as well as the mussels. Good times and definitely will return.

Small restaurant with a large bar area. Came in for lunch and it was crowded, but got a nice table looking out the window. They have some outdoor seating as well. I enjoyed my grilled chicken sandwich. It was large enough to where I only needed to eat half and about half of the fries it came with. I would recommend ordering the creole honey mustard to go with the dish. Our service was good and I wouldn’t mind coming back if I’m in the area. The food prices are a little high for lunch so I’m sure the dinner prices are slightly expensive also.

Long overdue review of this place, as I totally forgot about coming here, found pics by searching through my phone, but anywho! This was on a Tuesday afternoon, me and some friends decided to check it out as it had great reviews and it was in Downtown Roswell, which seems to be the go to spot lately. Arrived around 7, and we had reservations so promptly seated, we decided to seat outside as it wasn’t super hot, so why not right. Proceeded to get our drinks in quickly, and later got the menu’s. Couple minutes later the waiter comes through and explain the menu to us and gave us options on specials and such. 3 of us, so we all agreed on appetizers; the korean bbq chicken wings, which were amazing, that sweet and salty typical taste, cant ever go wrong with it! and also got the Louisiana Eggrolls, which were a pleasure to eat… a must have if you ask me, includes Bayou Rubbed Chicken, Andouille Sausage, Charred Corn, Spinach, Sharp Cheddar, & Creole Honey Mustard… yeahh delicious! Later we put in our entrees… 2 of us got the Steakhouse Burger w/fries… which include Applewood Smoked Bacon, Cheddar Cheese, Over Easy Egg, Crispy Onions, & Housemade BBQ Sauce… that combo just made me hungry again! Overall, we had a great experience here… Food was great, ambiance was on point, and drinks were good. We will hit this place again soon!

Came for lunch, I loved it! My friend and I both had the Scottish salmon sandwich. The fish was cooked perfectly and tasted fresh and delicious. The sauce on the fish was great. The roll was really good as well. French fries were hand cut that morning. Our waiter, Tully, was so attentive and took the time to answer all our questions. Really outstanding service. The bartender was great and the owner came by twice to make sure our appetizer and then our sandwiches were ok. Air conditioning was a little too high so I needed my coat bit I was told it isn’t normally that cold. They have a nice outdoor seating area which is always a plus.

The restaurant is set in a small downtown area surrounding by shops and boutiques. We came around 530P on a week night and were seated right away. It’s cozy on the inside and gets packed pretty quickly even on a week night. Since the restaurant is small, the tables are close together. The also had some outdoor seating available. Some items on the menu include salmon tartare, calamari, soup, salad, shepherd’s pie, fish & chips, burgers and pizzas. They offer an ample selection of draft beer, bottled beer and wine. Salt Factory Mussels — Roasted Garlic, Chipotle, Tomato, & Cilantro — $ 13 — Apparently, mussels are not in season this time of year and that’s why they were so tiny. Although the sauce was good, I would probably skip ordering these until summer time when they are in season.
THAIBEEFLETTUCEWRAPS — Mint, Basil, Red Onions, & Cilantro — $ 13 — It might have said $ 10.95 on the menu but rang up higher. It doesn’t remind me of a Thai wrap at all, but was quite delicious. The beef was nicely cooked and tasty. PULLEDPORKTACOS — Smoked Jalapeño Slaw, Cheddar Cheese, & Parmesan — $ 11 — I enjoyed these. The shells were deep fried and crispy. The3 tacos came on a taco tray and were loaded with goodies. The service was good, quick and friendly. Parking: The lot behind the restaurant was pretty full but we were able to snatch a spot.
