Awesome bar, great ambience, and friendly staff what more could you ask for?! They also have a fun center with go kart and mini golf. They also have a recently remodeled bowling alley which seems pretty state of art compared to what I’m used too! Love coming here whenever I just want to relax or to bring friends and have a great night!

Nice people, fun for all when things work. Bowling must have broke at least 5 times. Still will come back as they seem to be making improvements to most areas…

I have been coming here since I was little. The visits started to dwindle as the place got older. Then they did some recent updates with the bowling alley and I love it! Only reason I’m not giving it a 5 star review is because it still is a little dated, dingy, and dirty. They also need to do something about that mini golf course. Probably the worst one I’ve been on. But they have the best location and really need to capitalize by updating the mini golf course! Overall great staff!

Been going here since I was in High school. Used to love going here but it is very out dated. Needs to remodel a bit. Immature golf has not changed or been updated for many many years now it still fun to play. Go karts are a blast! Batting cages are fun to. Now with the arcades they are pretty pricey. I usually end up spending about $ 40 and it lasts about a half hour. It’s 2 – 4 tokens I believe for most of the games. They offer kid parties and have a haunted house in October which is pretty good. Bowling and pool as well with a bar, darts and gambling machines which I play regularly. I still have many tickets and numerous receipts hoping they will get more cool stuff in but every time I go there it’s the same old stuff. Boring plastic toys and a few stuffed animals and few cool things but need thousand and some even hundred of thousands to win. I still love this place and it’s nice that it’s down the street.

This place is always a blast if you go at the right time. Between batting cages, go-carts, mini golf, arcade, bowling, shooting pool and the bar scene, it’s Always a good time. They have a fantastic haunted house every October! This is where I had my first date silly enough, and we are still together 3 years later and visit here often!

What a fantastic place. I can’t believe I haven’t heard of this before I visited. Came with the family for a bowling night out after finding some coupons for free games on the back of a Jewel Osco receipt. I love that they had glow in the dark bowling, a mini golf place outside, and a huge arcade. Definitely will come again.

I really like this place! Fun for the family or as a date night. On the weekend evenings, there tends to be more of a bar crowd hanging out. Love the mini golf(except for the 18th hole. What’s up with that?!) Employees are friendly and helpful. Bowling alley is updated and the game area and minigolf are like a trip back in time.

We went to this place because my family and I stayed in Gurnee for a few days. I wish I could give this place zero stars. This place was awful. Every employee I dealt with was rude and didn’t help at all. I went to the bar to order food and I had to wait ten minutes for someone to take my order. This was after I had to ask if anyone was going to take my order. I’d never recommend this place to anyone.

This place has been turned inside, out. Literally(but not really literally). The whole bowling alley was renovated with the latest lanes(automatic bumper switch), animated scoreboard, new tv’s and a chat system among lanes. It’s really neat. The arcade seems to be slowly improving. There are still some games here than have been here for 15 years. These machines should be replaced. Seriously. I spent $ 20 per visit here on Arcade each time I am here and get enough tickets to afford to Icees. Really. $ 10 Icees. This(and a couple of other reasons below) is probably the reason they don’t get 4 or 5 stars. This reason and because the dining room seems to always being switched around and changed due to construction of gambling rooms and weird stuff like that. It is just weird coming here; you don’t know what you are going to find when you come in here. I guess it’s fun but sometimes it’s annoying not being able to find things; especially games. A lot are moved around and are moved constantly. Aside from the dining room and the age of the arcade games, the golf course never seems to be working. Meaning, the water is never on. It’s like being at a funeral it is soo sad looking. This is why I never go golfing, otherwise they would be making crazy money just from me alone(with all my 100 friends who like mini golf). Kitchen is awesome. Standard bar food but it seems to be made fresh. Pizzas are phenomenal(can’t believe I am saying this) but it really is great. And prices are reasonable. The employee base has certainly improved. They are friendlier than they were a couple years ago. I actually am happy to come here for a good time now. It’s been a big step up since their renovations. I recommend you check it out. It is a neat renovation and they did a good job renovating. Hopefully they continue to put into this business to help enhance the customer experience. For now. just 3 stars.

the staff is rude the mgr there a short guy that is always there is rude. i came in there one night with family from out of town after spending about $ 150 some other drunk guy and wanted to play pool with us we told him no. so he went up to the staff and told them we were trying to buy drugs. so they took his word and told us to leave. and we were being escorted out the drunk guy was laughing. i had a coworker who had warned me about the place told me the are racist. i finally realized it was true after that night. they need to get rid of shorty and clean out the staff.

This place is a dive. What an eyesore. I certainly would not waste my money to take my family there. If you’re looking for a fun place to go for entertainment it’s not there. We have something far better in Lake County, it’s called Six Flags.

Kristof’s is a Lake County Institution. Where else can find you Go Karts, mini golf, batting cages, bowling, arcade games, and much more. I’ve been coming here for over 12 years, and I’ve never been disappointed. Last night I went bowling with coworkers, and we had a great time. We ordered two pizzas. Their pizzas are homemade and very good. The garbage pizza was loaded with fresh veggies. You can’t beat the beer special, which was $ 2 bottles of Bud and Bud Light. The owners clearly take pride in the facility, because it is always well-maintained. They recently updated the bowling alley with all new scoring equipment, monitors, bowling balls, and leather couches. In all of Chicagoland there are not too many places like this remaining, let alone thriving as Kristof’s is. Keep up the good work!

Fun place! Came here with friends for my birthday(in January) to bowl and hang out at the bar! They had karaōke night which was fun. The bowling alley area is small but we went late enough that the younger kids were leaving when we were ready to bowl. No one under 21 is allowed in the bar area which was great. We ordered food before we bowled which wasn’t that great. I think it was just frozen pizza and frozen wings. The arcade area is large and the prices are great!

Horrible service and the staff was extremely rude. This place is more of a dive bar than an entertainment center. The décor hasn’t changed since the eighties and it looks like it hasn’t been cleaned since then either. If you take your child here its best to do it in the light of day before the drinking starts. I was here with some family for a birthday and after paying for about 40 dollars worth of frozen pizzas and soda I was told I was not allowed to sit at any of the tables because of a birthday party that wasn’t happening for another hour even the tables outside the birthday area were off limits. The bowling area was decent.

I am pleasantly surprised buy the improvements kristofs has made over the recent years. Bowling has always been fun and a good price. Now they have new games and more of a selection to choose from. I love that they have a full kitchen and bar right by the alley. Great drink specials as well as beer pong on Monday nights and free pool going on at some other time. Hats off to this establishment for getting things back together and making it more appealing

I love coming here with my best friend! We would come in the most random times. We would enjoy playing pool and bowling. Sometimes we even go twice a day because we have nothing better to do and there is so many varieties ranging from arcade to karaōke and haunted houses. Majority of the employees are extremely nice and friendly! However I just dislike the fact that no one under the age of 18 cannot be there. I enjoy going out with family and it’s difficult to bring younger family members there to enjoy the arcades or bowling at night! And that leads to excluding some family members so we don’t go as much as we would’ve if they allowed minors with family. Besides that it’s An amazing place To go!

Flashback — Ok, my parents used to take me here when I was a kid, even had a few birthday parties here(back in the mid-90’s), so Kristof’s will always have a place in my heart, no matter what. Anyone else remember that large ghostbusters shooting game they used to have? Now onto my current review — Overall the interior of the building could use a facelift, along with the pond that is never used on the mini golf course. Other than that, Kristof’s is still a fun place to go(for kids and kids at heart). Where else in the area can you find a bowling alley, an extensive arcade with modern games, mini golf, batting cages, go-karts and a full service bar/kitchen? Prices are really decent and the staff is exceptionally friendly and attentive. I think it’s a perfect place for a kids birthday party, an adult party, night out with friends or even a date night.

I use to love coming to Kristof’s growing up here in RL. It seems as the older I get the more I realize how not up to date the place really is. They have added some newer games which is good start but it’s not the cheapest to play. Each game takes at least 2 tokens & some up to 4. Maybe I am just use to chuckee cheese now for the lil ones. Their prize selection is also minimal, they really need to add more variety. On the flip side, it is nice to have a place locally where you can go mini golfing, swing in the batting cages, and even do a couple laps on the go kart track! This place still has major potential, I’d say lower the per game prices and add more obtainable prizes! Still a fan and always will be

Kristof’s is… there. I recently too my 11 yr old son for a few hours and we had a really good time. But I am only giving three stars because(1) the go-karts and the track are not nearly as good as the one’s in Kenosha;(2) the white trash on the mini golf(meaning 40something mom with late-20something boyfriend, both smoking and drinking in front of her two young kids, taking their sweet time and not letting smaller groups play through);(3) we needed a groupon to pay the appropriate price. The bowling was fun, the staff was friendly and helpful. But the other activities will only happen again with a groupon deal.
